Outfit Ideas For New Years Eve

After all that Christmas stress and all the lovely food we've had it's time to get into a few preparations for the planned New Years Eve party, isn't it?
I have had a look at Rosa Novias CA* and browsed through their great variety of Prom, Bridesmaid and Wedding dresses to find a few bits and bobs that I would personally wear to a full-on New Years Eve party!

Down below there are a couple of my absolute favourites from the website that I find really gorgeous and absolutely wearable for such occasions as well as other parties!
These examples are probably not everyone's favourites but I can actually picture me - or my cousin - wearing one of these.
My absolute fave, however, is number three above. The dress itself is just gorgeous and I do love a pretty red dress for a special occasion like this!
The fourth dress above is something quite daring for me and would be a bit out of my comfort zone, in terms of material and neckline. It's still a piece that I'd try on and hope to feel comfortable in because it's just soo pretty!

However, if I had the chance I would probably go for all of these and just wear them whenever I would have the opportunity to!

My outfit for this year is quite random actually and I'm not really satisfied with it just yet... I might as well need some more fashion blogger inspiration!
Nevertheless, I will keep you up to date with the whole 'outfit planning process' and my little shopping trip when I'm back home in Berlin - first time in years that I'll celebrate New Years with my grandparents!

What have you planned for New Years Eve this year? :-)

Childhood Memories

As it is almost the end of 2015 I thought I'd just share some childhood memories with you, my lovely readers. I'm not really sure if that's the kind of posts you want to read but I thought it would be a nice way to end a year full of unexpected journeys and wonderful experiences.

My family has always been the most important part in my life. They've helped me through so much, it's impossible to thank them for what they've done for me! There won't be any photos of my parents or grandparents as they don't want me to publish them, which I totally understand.
But my brother doesn't care really. He's just being his fourteen year old self again which is freaking annoying at times but I still love him. I'm glad I've got a brother like him, to be honest!

When my brother and I were younger we always had the best times - which hasn't really changed. We still laugh a lot together, bake cookies or just play a round of Fifa on his Xbox, because that's what siblings do.

These photos are just some of the ones that my uncle took when we were younger. The last one, though, was taken last year at my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary and I must say both my brother and I changed a lot.

I experienced some pretty amazing moments during my childhood and I couldn't be more grateful to have such a great family.

Do you have any siblings?

Catrice Prime And Fine Eyeshadow Base

The most vital thing for using eyeshadows properly is a good eyeshadow base and so it happens that today I will review the Catrice Cosmetics Prime And Fine Eyeshadow Base
For 3.49€ this is by far the best eyeshadow base I've tried so far - although I'm not really into primers and bases that much because a little concealer will do as well - or so I thought!
This item has just completely changed the way I apply my eye makeup!

It's a lovely little product that makes your eyeshadow stay on forever and I think that it makes the colours appear a little darker than they actually are, which is not that bad in my opinion.

Here is a little example of what I'm talking about. It really makes the colours look more vibrant but it also makes this light pink shade look darker. It doesn't bother me but I don't think everyone will like that so I thought I'd mention that here.

The overall impression is quite positive and I really like using this base before applying my beloved Zoeva eyeshadows!

What's your favourite eyeshadow primer/base to use?

Would You Rather...?

I've been wanting to do this kind of 'challenge' for quite some time now and today is finally the day where I will basically just answer several 'Would you rather...?'- questions! There's no real explanation to why I like this so much but it's just really fun to see other people answer in a completely different way than I would do myself! - I hope you can relate to that haha

So below are ten of these questions, all answered by my humble self! :-)

Would you rather...
I. ...have more time or more money?
- More time so I can earn more money

II. ...work more hours per day, but fewer days or work fewer hours per day, but more days?
- More hours per day, but fewer days, duh!

III. ...have cookies or French fries?
- Definitely French fries

IV. ...get up early or stay up late?
- Get up early

V. ...be super fast or super strong?
- Super fast. The Flash has to be enough of an explanation for this.

VI. ...eat healthy or exercise regularly?
- Exercise regularly, I guess

VII. ...go without the internet or a car for a month?
- A car. What an easy question! :P

VIII. ...have your flight delayed by 8 hours or lose your luggage?
- Have my flight delayed for 8 hours! I can wait as long as my stuff is with me haha

IX. ...go forward or back in time?
- Go back in time and see what my ancestors were like

X. ...be a master of every musical instrument or be fluent in every language?
- Easy one: be fluent in every language because just imagine how cool that'd be!

What are your answers to these 'Would you rather...? - questions? :-) Comment down below!

❄ Christmas Clothing Haul ❄

My parents and I went out to do some shopping last week and I was determined to buy a cute outfit for Christmas.
I actually found quite a nice outfit to wear on Christmas Day and I can't wait to post some more photos of me wearing this on Instagram - if I manage to get some decent photos taken...

Both items for my outfit I found in a shop called New Yorker and I must admit that I was more than happy because I didn't find anything christmassy in H & M at all.

I really love the outfit, especially the skirt (9.95€)! And I think I will wear the top (12.95€) on New Year's Eve as well with a pair of red pants and some black heels or something... It's going to be so much fun to actually plan my outfits for once without thinking that it might look hilarious!

Like I said, I went into H & M - as always -, didn't find anything christmassy so I and got a grey long sleeved crop top with a high neck for 9€ and a layered golden necklace for 4.99€ instead. It was love at first sight to be honest!

I think these two go together really well and I can already imagine wearing this with a pair of high waisted black skinny jeans.

Planning outfits is not too bad after all actually... Maybe I should invest in two new camera lenses instead of just one and finally write some more fashion posts!

What have you bought recently?

❄ The Christmas Tag ❄

We're already one week into December of 2015 and I just can't wait until it's finally Christmas!!
My lovely friend Yana from TimeWithYana tagged me this year to do The Christmas Tag - I think that it is definitely not necessary for me to say that I really just love the fact that The Christmas Tag is the first ever tag here on my blog!

❄❄❄

What's your favourite thing about Christmas?
Personally, I think Christmas is a Holiday to spend with your (whole) family. It is about celebrating that time with your loved ones, with good food and the one or other lovely present. I also prefer gifting things to people rather than getting something myself because I just love the look on people's faces when they open their presents!

❄ Favourite Christmas movie(s)?
My ultimate faves for Christmas are definitely The Muppets Christmas Carol and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation when it comes to movies! They're a must for my family each and every year!

❄ Real tree or fake tree?
I've got a fake tree in my bedroom because it's just too small for a real one and I don't have all those needles spread across the floor. However, my family and I got a real tree in our living room because the room itself is just a lot bigger so the Christmas tree looks great in there! I also like the scent of a real tree way better, although fake trees don't really smell of anything... haha

❄ Giving presents or receiving them?
Well, I actually answered that question already! I love giving presents a whole lot more than receiving them! Nothing more to say to that! :-)

❄ Do you open your presents on Christmas morning or evening?
In Germany, we celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December so I open my presents in the evening of that exact day; after we've had the most amazing dinner, prepared by my lovely grandma!

❄ What tops your tree?
There's a little silver bow on top of the tree in my bedroom and a large red bow on the one we have in our living room!

❄ As a kid, what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Hmm, I do remember wanting a Lego set to build my own Spongebob figure, but I never got that... *sniffles* It's not really crazy as well, is it? haha

❄ Handmade Christmas cards or bought?
I'm not the most creative person out there so I don't even try to make my own Christmas cards - I always buy them!

❄ Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
There are a few actually that my family and I have kept going for the past couple of years.
We're always decorating the big tree on the 24th together while watching The Muppets Christmas Carol. After that, my brother, my grandma and I decorate her tree together while listening to some Christmas songs.
In the evening we all come together for dinner in my grandma's living room before handing out the presents! And last but not least, we're watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation together!
It's bascially been like this for the past five years and I love it!

This was my version of The Christmas Tag and I hope you enjoyed it! :-)
Below are the names of the bloggers I tag:

My excitement for Christmas has just grown to an unhealthy amount! Sooo exciting!

La Rive Cash EDP

You know that I love a nice fragrance to quickly spritz on before leaving the house, and recently I've discovered a new favourite of mine: The La Rive "Cash" Eau de Parfum
It's from Rossmann (German drugstore) and costs 6.95€, which, in my opinion, is such a fair price for the product you get with it!

The scent is quite heavy, but still nice, kind of spicy and maybe even just the slightest bit fruity, if that makes any sense - I'm still really bad at describing scents, my bad!
But nevertheless I think that it is a great fragrance for this time of year, especially with Christmas right around the corner!
It also lasts all day long, which is just another huge plus for this little gem!

This is also said to be a dupe for the Paco Rabanne - Lady Million, which I have never tried before, but if it's really a dupe for such a high quality perfume then it is definitely a good one.

For me Fridays always mean getting my hands on a new beauty item - while they just mean grocery shopping for my parents - and I think today I will treat myself with another one of these lovely La Rive fragrances!

What is your favourite perfume at the moment?

Let's Talk About Coconut Lane

I have only recently discovered the cute shop of Coconut Lane and I already love every product they have! They're still a small shop but I'm sure they'll grow a lot in the next few months!

However, I was kindly asked to team up with them and get my very own discount code which gives you 20% off your Coconut Lane purchase! :-) Just use liliesbeauty20 and you'll be good to go!

The shop features different categories, going from accessories, to greeting cars, to jewellery and home and gifts. Their items are so cute that I could possibly buy all things on sale on there haha

Definitely give this website a visit and make sure to use the code to get 20% off!

This is a really short post compared to my other rambly ones but I thought it was necessary to mention this absolute gem of mine and to let you know about this great opportunity!

Have you ever heard of the Coconut Lane shop?

Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette

I have been keeping an eye on this beauty ever since it came out and last week I finally ordered it!
I ordered it on a Saturday and it arrived here on the Thursday after and it was wrapped up so nicely and neatly!

Maybe I should add a little something about the brand itself before starting to rave about this eyeshadow palette!
Zoeva is a German cosmetic brand founded in 2008 by Zoe Boikou. They sell makeup bits as well as tools such as brushes and bags.

Now on to the palette...

The En Taupe eyeshadow palette is the newest in the Zoeva range and includes - just like the former palettes - ten different shades. It costs 17.50€ (21€ including shipping costs) and just looks amazing, doesn't it?! The packaging is lovely and really adds something to the overall look of this palette!

There are matte shades as well as shimmery ones, though, there are just four matte shades altogether; three in the upper row and one in the bottom row. The italic written words are the matte shades, the underlined one is a very shimmery one with golden pigments.
Upper row:
Stitch By Stitch
Handmade
Gallery
Hour By Hour
Old Master

Bottom row:
Spun Pearl
Hour By Hour
Sheers & Voiles
Outline
Wrapped In Silk
Exquisite

These eyeshadows are really pigmented and very easy to apply; especially with the Zoeva 225 Luxe Eye Blender, in my opinion! I'm currently planning a little Christmas blog post series, where I'll try lots of different (festive) makeup looks with several eyeshadow palettes! :-) I hope this works as planned, though! haha
Do you already own a Zoeva eyeshadow palette or will you add this one to your Christmas wishlist?

Social Networks

For most people, social networks are everyday life essentials. As for bloggers, they're a vital part of getting the own website out to a large number of people.

And that's why I wanted to list down my very own accounts to social media such as Twitter, Instagram, etc.
I don't really think about the number of followers that I have, I'm more likely to see how many people I attract after I posted something. Lovely comments on what I've written are always the best! ♥

Just the average Twitter profile. I'm tweeting every new post of my blog and some other, quite random stuff on there! ^-^

Well, I'm not the most active person ever when it comes to uploading photos or keeping the 'theme' constant for weeks. But it's nice to see other people post photos of things that many others like just as much!

Here I'm really just publishing the newest posts of my blog because I'm not sure about what else to write there... What a weird explanation! haha

The ultimate platform for bloggers out there who want to attract more readers to their blog! I personally really like it because it also gives me the chance to interact with other bloggers!

This is not really a website I've been using actively because I just enabled the 'automatic post' on Blogger there. It bascially means that every new post is being published on my Google+ page, which might also increase the number of people reading them!

Not that I'm uploading any videos (yet) but YouTube is almost an essential that every blogger needs, isn't it? I think that having a channel makes it a lot easier to think about a the chance to create something related to your blog. I'm currently in the planning process of a Lilies Beauty YouTube channel as well....

Leave your social media accounts down below! I'd love to follow some more of you! :-)

Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow

These eyeshadows have literally saved me so much time while doing my makeup, it's incredible! The Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadows are just my favourite. This time I'm going to talk a little about the shade 70 - Metallic Pomegranate, which definitely lives up to its name! It's a gorgeous almost cool berry toned shade with a hint of shimmer that's not too much when applied on the eyelid.

Together with a nude or light pink eyeshadow as a base this is the perfect go-to shade for a lovely everyday makeup look - especially for Autumn and Winter! Personally, I think that this shade also goes pretty well with every colour of your outfit.

If these didn't cost 7€ each, I'd definitely buy the whole colour range but you know, seven euro for an (amazing) eyeshadow are quite a lot - probably just when you're still a student and living on a budget, though!

What is your favourite of this Maybelline Eyeshadow range?

5 Things I'm Secretly In Love With

There are some things that I really love but no one seems to know that; I'm sure everyone has those 'little secrets', right?
Well, and today I'm going to write down five of these because I feel like talking about them for once, and why not do that on my blog?

Victoria's Secret
The show last week was amaaazing! And the Angels are just gorgeous! I'm still not over it... haha Gigi is my queen, just saying. #sorrynotsorry

Maltesers
Hmm, Maltesers are the best. They're bascially a very important essential in my everyday life.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
These dogs are just the cutest and I will probably get one of these in a couple of years! Their cuteness is almost too much to handle, gaahh!

Cosmopolitan Magazine
As a blogger you've got to stay up to date with everything beauty, fashion and lifestyle related and for me the Cosmopolitan Magazine is just the best as it combines everything in one! I also really like the little samples of perfume, etc. that come with every issue...

Little Mix
This band, I tell you, is just bloody amazing! And along with their new album Get Weird they gained another fan because their voices are great and they pretty much left me speechless when I listened to some of their songs for the first time!

What are you loving at the moment? :-)

Let's Talk About Pets

When you've got a pet at home you will probably understand what I mean when I say that pets can become the most important individual in someone's life.

About five years ago, when we moved from Berlin to where we live now, we decided to get a dog. My mum wanted a Golden Retriever, my dad a Labrador Retriever, my brother wasn't bothered at all and I just wanted someone to cuddle with really.

One day my mum read the newspaper and found an advert from someone who wanted to sell four weeks old puppies. As we've never heard of the breed 'Harz Fox' before, we looked it up on the internet and I swear, it was the cutest thing I had ever seen!

So my dad made a call and on the next day we were able to see our puppy for the very first time! It was clear that we were getting a male and had already decided on the name Kimba
And when we arrived there it was obvious that we instantly fell in looove with him!

Now, five years later, he's all grown up but still as cute! I just love him so much and I'm so so glad that we got him and no other dog!

Last year, around Christmas, we found out that he's got a chronic adrenal insufficiency and ever since then he's on a permanent medical treatment. I was scared to death that he wouldn't make it...
But gladly, he's all good now and we couldn't be happier with him! :-)

Well, these occasionally happen as well because apparently he thinks it's funny to lick the lens of my camera right as I'm about to take a photo of him.

And to keep him with me wherever I go, I want to get his name tattooed on my wrist after my birthday in January! My parents don't know about that yet but I'm sure they'll like it... haha

Have you got any pets? :-)

Autumn

I am 100% sure that Autumn is the favourite time of year for many people, because let's be honest: Autumn is just the best.
I love that you can get all cosy and have candles lit all around the house, cuddle up in a blanket and have a day just for you while watching your favourite film.

Although this year Autumn has lasted for approximately two minutes and Halloween was over faster than you can say the word itself, I do enjoy this time the most. But I'm also really excited for Christmas! *46 more days, in case you were wondering*

What do you like most about Autumn?

My Favourite Blogs to Read

I'm always in search of new lovely blogs to read, so I thought I'd share my most favourite blogs with you, my fellow blog readers!
And please excuse the random photo above; I was just looking for a nice one to put up there and I really liked this one from our last family-walk! :-)

It's not a big surprise that Zoella is on #1 in this list, is it? Ever since Zoe had her blog redesigned I've been loving it even more than before! Her blog was - in all honesty - the first one that I had started reading when I discovered the blogging world on the internet.

Another lovely blog which I really enjoy reading. InTheFrow is written by Victoria and I also just very like watching her videos on YouTube as well! They never fail to brighten up my day because they're just amazing as they are!

Kayleigh has been a huge inspiration for me to keep blogging even though I might have had a bad day whatsoever. I do tend to have those days quite often - especially when it comes to my blog - as I always think that others are just a lot better than me at this, but I want to be just as good as them! But with her replying to my emails or helping me out with some blogging issues, those thoughts of not being a good blogger just fade away immediately. Thank you for that, Kayleigh! :-)

A very lovely blog to read, but her videos are even better! I just like how her videos are set up and everything. Probably not to mention that I highly respect her for making all these videos when she has a chronical illness!

What are your favourite blogs to read? I would love to know!
