Glossybox April 2015!

On Monday this week I received my first ever Glossybox! Which I was frickin' excited about!
For those of you who don't know what a "Glossybox" is: it is a box that if you register for it you'll receive every month until you cancel your subscription.
It is filled with a total of five beauty products which all suit your personal interests and needs.

Before I received the box I obviously had to register on the website and fill out kind of a "beauty application". They wanted to know all the basic information like hair colour, favourite makeup essentials, etc. to make sure I get the products I'm interested in.
And due to all those information they put together my very own Glossybox :-)

Back from left to right:

Figs & Rouge Coco Rose Lip Balm 12.5ml

Monu Fiji Facial Treatment Oil 30ml

Kueshi Pure & Clean Revitalizing Face Toner 200ml

Front from left to right:

Benefit They're Real Mascara 3.0g

4LK Blusher Naturell 4g
When I first opened the box I was so excited to see all the products. And o to the m to the g, I'm now the owner of my very first Benefit Cosmetics product!
All the other products look amazing as well and I really can't wait to try all of them.

The lip balm just smells soo delicious, by the way. Oh and I'm pretty sure that I'll be writing a couple new reviews to all these products so stay tuned for that! :-)

Next month I'll receive my next but also my last Glossybox since I still have to look after my money and I just can't spend 15€ every month from now on.
There are some other subscription options on their website but I think it is way better to just be able to cancel it every month.

But maybe I'll start a new subscription later this year or even only next year.
I'm not sure yet.

This was it for today as I only wanted to show you what I got in the box. You can surely register yourself on their website as it is an international one :-)

Let me know if you started your own Glossybox subscription and tell me what you've got in your first box! I'd love to know!

Have a lovely day and make sure to subscribe right here!

My Skincare Routine - Morning and Evening

I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for another week on my blog :-)
Today I'm going to write down my skincare routine for every morning and evening as they are almost identical.

And to start off in the morning I'm only using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and the ISANA Young Soothing Face Cream which you can both see in the picture above.
I apply the cleanser to a cotton pad and clean my face with it before applying the face cream.
And to be honest, that was my total skincare "routine" for every morning ever since I bought the cleansing water :P

In the evening I'm starting off by removing my eye makeup (mostly mascara) - if I'm wearing any makeup at all - with the Garnier Clean & Fresh Eye Makeup Remover
I just apply a little of the product on another two cotton pads and leave it on each of my eyes for about 10 to 20 seconds and then gently wipe it off.
After that I remove my other makeup - such as foundation, powder, etc. - with the ISANA Young Cleansing Wipes. Here again the cleansing water comes in handy just to remove all the left over makeup or mascara/eye makeup.
And after I've removed all of my makeup of the day I'm yet again applying my face cream and voilá, my face is ready for bed :D

I also like to apply Carmex or another lip balm to my lips and make sure to put on a handcreme since I've got really dry hands lately.

This is not the longest post in the history of blog posts but yeah... I'm glad I still got something up due to all the stress and everything lately.

I hope you had a lovely Monday and may the rest of the week be just as good :-)

Stay tuned and don't forget to subscribe!

30 Things I Want to Do Before I'm 30!

Happy Friday! ♥
I have been looking for an idea to write todays post. I looked through the 365 Blog Topic Ideas and I finally found something that seemed good enough to write about.
So today it's all about a list with 30 things I want to do before I'm 30.

However, some might seem a little out of place or there might be too many things that I probably won't do before I turn 30 or won't do at all. But all those things are wishes and dreams of mine nonetheless that I'd really like to share with you guys :-)

Here are the 30 things I want to do (no specific order):

30. Be happy.
Like I mentioned before there is no particular order in this list. Those are just things I'd really like to do or I'd like to happen to me before (or even after) I'm 30.
That was quite a lot to write when you're only 17 years young yet I know what I want to do with my life.

Garnier Clean & Fresh Eye Makeup Remover

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Garnier Clean & Fresh Eye Makeup Remover. I once again bought this product in "Rossmann" for 2,99€ which is a fairly good price for an even better product.

As you can see in the photo above the liquid comes in this green coloured bottle which kind of reminds me of Spring.

I always put a bit of it on a cotton pad and lightly press it onto my eye and hold it there for about ten to twenty seconds. Then I can wipe the makeup off et voilà, all my eye makeup is gone without rubbing or anything.

I didn't really think this was going to work but I'm quite surprised, to be honest.
Plus, it smells amazing; like it's written on the bottle, it smells a little like grapes.

I do recommend this for everyone who's looking for a well working eye makeup remover

So there's nothing more to about this. But if you do have questions let me know in the comments down below!

Have a lovely day and don't forget to subscribe :D

My Favourite Apps: From Instagram to HayDay!

Welcome back to another week on my blog! ♥
We all probably have a smartphone or something similiar to that. So we tend to use different kind of apps (=applications) every now and then.

In this post I'm going to name some of my favourite ones that I'm using at the moment :-)
Only one game is included but that should be enough though, ha.

And to start this list with my all time favourite app:
I have been using this app on a daily basis the past few weeks and o to the m to the g, I love it! Although I don't post many photos on my account I do tend to like and comment on other photos and get some inspiration for the stuff that I'm doing (my blog, makeup, outfits, etc).

It's quite hard to find a person who doesn't use WhatsApp nowadays, isn't it? I'm so glad this app exists as I can always message my friends and I'm not charged a cent for that; and the 0,89€ after a years of using it are not that much compared to other messaging applications.

I don't send these so called "snaps" very often but I do like that it has a messaging part as well. I also like that a good amount of celebrities and others post their stories on there as it makes it a little more personal and interesting yet they don't reveal too much. This might sound wrong but ya know what I mean.
Add me: melaniieerose

I'm now completely honest with you guys: HayDay is the only game I'm playing at the moment. It's just so much fun although it doesn't look like it. Some people I know rather play Clash of Clans or Crossy Road but I simply like the own story you can write behind this game. You don't have to follow a gameplay, you can just go through this game however you'd like :D

In January this year I decided to try an offer for three months premium usage of the Spotify player for only 0,99€. Which is frickin' cheap as it would have normally cost me 30€!
But in the beginning of the month of April that premium package expired and what can I say? The player without any premium features is just useless. But I still thought I could mention it in the list of my favourite apps as it has been my dearest companion for every day.

Yes, I do watch videos on the go and when I'm in school because yeah, I don't have anything better to do with my life. The YouTube app is just a basic app and I can't really say anything else to it, ha :P

Obviously this has been one of my favourite smartphone apps ever since I started using Twitter. The newest updates made it even more user-optimised and I really like the look of it now.

The last two apps are just some photo editing apps I only recently started using for my Instagram images. They're called No Crop and Pixlr. And they're amazing, 'nuff said.

Well yeah, these are my most used apps at the moment. Of course I do have other ones on my phone as well but I think they're not really worth mentioning.

So thank you for reading and let me know some of your favourite apps! Maybe I can try out some new games :-)
Don't forget to subscribe and have a lovely day!

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

Hello there lovelies! ♥
Like I previously mentioned on my Instagram I finally got the chance to try the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation.
I've been wearing foundation every single day since I actually started wearing more makeup than only mascara and I've just been looking for the perfect foundation ever since. And I can already say that this is not quite "the one" for me.

First of all, I purchased this one at - as always, ha - for about 10,76€ which is a fairly good price, I think. I chose the colour 100 Ivory, which I thought would be the best colour for my skin tone. But apparently I was so wrong!
I didn't order this foundation because I needed a new one; I simply wanted to try another product. At the moment I'm using the Catrice Cosmetics All Matt Plus Shine Control Foundation in the colour 010 Light Beige
Colour: perfect
Coverage: medium
All in all: it's amazing for a drugstore foundation

Now on to the Rimmel one. Before I made the decision to buy the Lasting Finish Foundation I've read tons of reviews about it. Most of them were positive so I thought I should give it a go and just try it.
And the foundation really is amazing! It's just the colour that doesn't fit at all. I thought Ivory - as it was the lightest colour I could find - would fit perfectly but it doesn't.
It has more of a pinkish undertone yet I do need kind of a yellowish undertone to match my skin tone.
In this picture it obviously looks like the Rimmel foundation would match my skin colour better than the Catrice one but it's exactly the other way round.

I'm now thinking about repurchasing this foundation but in another colour; not too sure about that yet.

But all in all this foundation is - beside the thing with the colour - an amazing product and I'd surely recommend this to everyone who's looking for a light but still full coverage foundation. Because this is definitely the one for that. You should definitely check the colour before purchasing it though :P

Maybe you guys have some other (drugstore) foundations that I could try?
Leave a comment down below if you do :-)

Current YouTube Faves!

Today's post is going to be a little different to the ones I normally do - since there are mostly reviews on beauty products so far - but I just wanted to try something new.
I'll be listing (some) of my current YouTube faves; as you can obviously read by the title and the first image, ha :P

And getting right into it, the first person I'd like to mention is Zoella aka Zoe Sugg. If you have been reading my blog for a while you should have already seen that Zoe is a huge inspiration for me and also a big role model. She's taught me how to deal with anxiety and I'm still kind of fangirling every time I see a new video on her channel :-)

Just to stay in the Sugg family, the second YouTuber I'm mentioning here is ThatcherJoe also known as Joe Sugg and Zoe's brother.
Now what can I say? He's funny, good looking, he can sing and he's got a successful channel on YouTube. What else could you possibly be looking for in a guy? haha :D
So yeah, his videos are awesome and his vlogs are as well.
But keep in mind: he's not a daily vlogger (sorry for the inside joke).

Next one to mention: PointlessBlog aka Alfie Deyes and Zoe's boyfriend. Since the day I read that they are a thing I couldn't be any happier. Two of my most favourite YouTubers together! I knew this was going to make their fans very excited for upcoming videos so of course I enjoy watching both of their main channels and (daily) vlogs.

The fourth person in this list is......
Caspar Lee!
Surprise surprise! Another British YouTuber. You might also know him as Joe's roommate and best friend. Personally I think Caspar is just such a cute and funny guy. Like, he can upload a video of him and Joe talking complete nonsense and I'd still watch it.
And well, he's good looking soo...^-^

Number fiiiive: Sprinkleofglitter or also known as Louise or Zoe's chummy.
Now truth be told: friendship goals af.
They've known each other for so long and are still best friends. Plus, Louise has the most adorable little daughter on this whole planet. Little Darcy (or Baby Glitter) always makes me smile; especially when she's hugging her favourite Disney princesses in Disney Land, awh. ♥

I've only just discovered this next YouTuber/blogger last year but I'm so very glad that I did. Her name is Victoria aka Inthefrow.

Her blog is amazing, her videos are great and I always enjoy watching them. I especially like her beautiful lilac haircolour. It suits her so very well; I wish I could pull off a colour like that.
But yeah, she's a gorgeous young woman and I absolutely adore her :-)

And last but not least we're going to fly over to the United States and voilà, there's the last YouTube personality that I want to present to you: Aspyn Ovard. And to be completely honest with you guys, Aspyn was the first beauty guru that I started watching when I discovered the world of YouTube a couple of years ago. All in all she has been my favourite ever since and nothing has changed my opinion on that.

Of course there a whole lot of other channels that I like watching but these are the most recent and my favourite ones.

I also enjoy:
Marcus Butler
Niomi Smart
Tyler Oakley
Tanya Burr
Jim Chapman
So these were a lot of (British) YouTubers for only one post, ha. Normally I watch completely random videos as well but I'm not going to link down all of them in here, duh.

I do watch German YouTubers and I also have some favourite channels in that category but I think I'll do a post in my first language some day where you can find my most favourite German YouTube channels :-)

Now, who are your current YouTube faves? I'd really like to know so leave a word in the comments down below!

I really hope you enjoyed this, have a lovely day and make sure to subscribe! ♥

Latest Beauty Wishlist

Welcome back to my blog! ♥
I hope you all had or still have an amazing spring/Easter break. My first day of school was today and I can tell that I'm not happy to be back there, bruh.
But to brighten things up a little I came across the idea to note down some of the beauty products I have been lusting over lately; and sadly I don't own any of these (yet).
These are just a few of them but ya know, I had to make it short today.

So without further ado, let's get right into it :-)

1. Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette
It's not necessarily the first thing I'd ask for if someone told me to write down a wishlist with beauty products but the Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette is just a gorgeous eyeshadow palette with highly pigmented and stunning colours. I sadly don't own this palette. However, I only have a duplicate by a brand called w7 Cosmetics; not sure if any of you have heard about that. But I'm still all about this palette and I'd purchase it right away if it was on sale somewhere.

2. Milani Baked Blush, Luminoso
The Milani Baked Blushes are known for their high pigmentation and gorgeous colours yet they're "only" drugstore blushes which I find is good to know. Why buy the most expensive Mac blush when you can have almost the exact same product for a lot less? I'm not saying that Mac cosmetic products are bad because they are not! They are amazing, just not as cheap and affordable as other products out there which might be just as good.

3. Mac Cinderella Collection
And as I was just talking about Mac cosmetic products and how expensive they are; I've been really wanting to try the Mac Cinderella Collection nonetheless! Just by looking at all those pictures people post of this collection, it makes me want to buy the whole lot of products in one go. All those Cinderella themed makeup collections remind me of my childhood and the time when I used to watch nothing but Disney princess films together with my younger brother. But long story short, this Mac Cinderella Collection just looks stunning!

4. Chanel "Coco Mademoiselle" Perfume
I'm not quite sure why I'd love to try this fragrance since there are lots of negative reviews out there about it. Yet there's something about it that makes me curious and I just really want to try this out. Plus, the packaging (or bottle) is really lovely as well.

5. Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
What a surprise, one of the things I'd immediately buy if I actually had the money for that: the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. There are literally so many positive comments and reviews about this product that it almost seems too good to be true. I've been looking for a mascara like this and now there is one! It's like a dream come true.

6. Real Techniques Bold Metal Brushes
When there is one thing everyone has been talking about lately it's the Real Techniques Bold Metal Brushes. Now let's sum it up: they're gorgeous but frickin' expensive! I mean, for Real Techniques brushes they are, but for really high quality brushes they're at a good price and probably worth the money. I'd really like to try at least one of them. However, these seven brushes are again divided into three categories, just like the other RT brushes. The rosegold ones are for contouring and blush, the gold ones for the base of the makeup - like foundation and powder - and the silver ones are the brushes for the eye makeup.

7. Chloé "Love Story" Perfume
Starting this last bit with a question: how can you not want this perfume? I mean, just look at the bottle; it's gorgeous! I've once had a little sample of this fragrance in a magazine and I swear I never wanted to put that small sample away - I was literally smelling on it for a couple of hours. It has a really nice and lovely smell to it and I could imagine wearing this quite a lot; if I only had the money to buy a bottle of it...

This was my little list of products I've been lusting over lately and I just now realised that there are a lot more things that I actually want to try, ha. So there will definitely be some more posts of this kind :-)

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Thank you for reading, don't forget to subscribe and make sure to tune back in on Wednesday!
But before you go:
What are the things you have been lusting over lately? Whether it is fashion or beauty related, I'd like to read some comments :-)

My New Makeup Brushes by BH Cosmetics!

If you're following me on Instagram then you have probably noticed my excitement about my new makeup brushes.
I recently purchased a new brush set on by a brand called BH Cosmetics along with my very first Real Techniques brush.

I have bought this gorgeous rose gold brush set which came in a stunning auburn coloured case with some rose gold details on it.

I should have filmed my reaction when I opened the packaging though, ha. I was completely mesmerised by those brushes, can you believe that? :D Although it cost me a little more than I would usually spend on a set of makeup brushes but it is totally worth the money (Rose Gold Brush Set by BH Cosmetics, 22,95€).

The set contains 15 pieces in total, all with an auburn coloured handle and a rose gold tip, followed by the natural and synthetic bristles; which are just so very soft, to mention that here.

The brushes in this set:

- powder brush

- angled blush and powder brush

- foundation brush

- large shadow brush

- tapered blending brush

- angled shadow brush

- small tapered blending brush

- curved shading brush

- tapered smudge brush

- small shadow brush

- angled liner brush

- small detailing brush

- eyeliner brush

- brow and lash spooley

- brow and lash grooming brush

Applying makeup to my face is a lot easier for me now since I have only got a cheap drugstore brush set before. But these, which I think, high quality brushes are totally worth the money and give the makeup you're applying an extra flawless finish.

Not to mention that the case they're in is extremely chic with its quilted pattern and rose gold latch closure on the front. It makes it really comfortable to take them with you when you're travelling or if you just want to organise your brushes.

Next on to the Real Techniques brush. Like I mentioned a couple of sentences before I've only owned a few drugstore brushes before. So of course I needed a new foundation brush as well. Therefore I purchased the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (11,45€).
And what can I say? I love it!

It's a lightweight, synthetic taklon bristles brush in a gorgeous copper tone - just like all the other "flawless base" brushes by RT.
And yes, I've only just discovered that the colours the brushes are divided into are actual categories.

copper - flawless base
purple - enhanced eyes
pink - perfect finish like a pro

So you have brushes for each category and each part of your face. Finding out about this got me extremely excited and I'm pretty sure that I will soon buy a couple more of these :-)

I'm quite content about my newest purchases and very excited to be reviewing these on my blog. I really hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Have a lovely day and subscribe for more!

Mel Merio Frozen Crystals EDP

Today I'm going to be reviewing my new EDP which is the Frozen Crystals Limited Edition by Mel Merio (5,99€).
I have only picked this up recently from a German drugstore called "Rossmann" if any of you are familiar with that.

And now let me tell you, this stuff smells amazeballs. I
don't think there any words to describe the scent because I'm not even sure what it smells like.
The name Frozen Crystals and the packaging to it might remind of Winter, cold days and snow but it smells more like a fresh and sunny Spring day to me. Which is the total opposite but apparently that's just how my nostrils work ^-^

The little bottle of 50 ml that the perfume is in looks like shown in the picture above. I have already had a couple of Mel Merio perfumes and they all looked the same apart from the liquid colour of the perfume itself. And as you can see this perfume has a very lovely blue colour to it.

Personally this has been one of my favourite perfumes ever so far and I'm wearing it almost every day.
However, I'm not that much of a fragrance person but when there's a scent I really like I'm wearing it on a daily basis until I find a new one :P

And that was it for today's post already :-)
I hope you enjoyed it and have a lovely day!

365 Blog Topic Ideas by Dana Fox aka thewonderforest

Welcome back to my blog! ♥
Today I'm going to be showing you my newest book purchase: 365 Blog Topic Ideas by Dana Fox (14,57€ on which you might know better as thewonderforest.

I have been reading her blogs thewonderforest and I Can Build a Blog  for quite a while now. She's mostly writing about tips and tricks for bloggers and how to make the most of your very own blog.

And that's exactly why I've bought this book. Every time I'm lacking of ideas for a new post I open up a random page and voilà, there is an idea that fits perfectly into the niche I think my blog is currently in. If that makes any sense, ha.

However, this book does only contain pages with blog topic ideas. No longer texts or images, just ideas for lifestyle blogger posts.

It's been really fun to look through all those pages and find some great inspiration for my blog.
I'd totally recommend this book to every blogger; not only to those who might have no idea what to write about.
It has inspired me a lot and I'm very glad I've made this purchase :-) There is also a new kind of confidence I have build up for things and it changed the way I'm working on my blog now completely.

Have you thought about buying this book but you weren't quite sure if you should? Tell me if you changed your mind in the comments down below!

Thank you for reading, have a great day and make sure to subscribe!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Welcome back to another post! ♥
On this Friday I'll be reviewing the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (for normal & sensitive skin) - the bottle in the picture above says the exact same thing, only in German :-)
I've bought this 400 ml bottle about a month ago for 4,99€ which is a little more than I'd normally spend on a cleansing water but this was really worth the money.

The cleansing water has no smell to it and looks like clear water in a bottle.
It says that it refreshes and cleans the skin without rubbing or rinsing.
But most importantly - especially when you have acne prone skin like me - it has a fragrance free formula.
The 400 ml is considered to last for 200 uses - I'm wondering who the poor person is that had to count the amount of uses you can get from this bottle...
I clean my face every morning before applying my makeup and every evening after removing it. I just put a little of the cleansing water on a cotton pad and clean my face with it. A couple seconds after that I apply my face cream and that's it.

I usually tend to get dry skin around my nose and on my forehead after cleaning it. But with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water it's totally different. It doesn't burn or make my skin itchy or red. It's a very nice and soft feeling and I'm so glad that I bought it :-)

I'd surely recommend it to everyone who's looking for a not so expensive but still amazing cleansing water.

If you have any questions about it let me know in the comments!

Have a lovely day and stay tuned for more ♥

Primark, H&M and Drugstore Haul!

As you may have noticed due to my tweets from about two weeks ago, I've been back in my hometown: Berliiiin. So of course I went shopping and bought the one or other thing that caught my eye.
Primark, H&M and a drugstore called "dm" here in Germany were the places I've been to
There will also be some items that I purchased before my trip to Berlin!

Of course I didn't go shopping all by myself. My cousin went with me and the first shop we entered was the mentioned drugstore "dm".
In there I bought a new foundation by Catrice Cosmetics. All in all a good foundation, to review that a little. It's just not the same that I used to buy though. It's a new one and I must say that I was way more satisfied with my old one :/

Next there is a new mascara which I have been wanting to try ever since I first saw the advert on TV - the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. It's making my lashes longer and thicker but - as for me I'm not a pro at applying mascara so there's a lot of product smudged on my eyelid as well, ha - it's really hard to just wipe that smudged product away with a cotton bud or pad. So it's only a little "add-on" that I'm applying after my normal mascara routine.

The Styliste Ultime Sea Salt Beach Look Spray is the last product I bought in the drugstore.
I wanted something to make my hair look a little more textured and wavy since I've got quite straight and normal hair so I bought that exact spray - and to mention it, it's a nice spray and does what it says. But more of that in an extra post :-)

Primaaark! Of course we went in there but didn't buy thaaat much :P
Every time I visit my family back in Berlin I think about some things or clothes that I'd like to have. Where I live at the moment there aren't any shops like H&M, Primark, Forever21, etc. We just don't have that here and it's bothering me; a lot. So like I said I always think of things that I'd like to buy and then look for them when I go shopping with my cousin in Berlin. That's become kind of a routine every time I visit.

But enough about my life and more about the clothes I bought :D
This time I was looking foooor...

A new pair of shoes - and to my luck they had them in my favourite colour *-* (price: 13€)
I also purchased a new medium sized handbag since I've only got large or small ones so this one has the perfect size. (price: 10€)
I was just looking for a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and yay, I found some. (price: 14€)
The light blue jeans are from H&M; bought before I went to Berlin. (price: 19,99€)
And last but not least I found a Harry Potter shirt; again. The last time we went to Primark I bought a Gryffindor shirt. This time it's a Hogwarts one and I looove it! (price: 8€)
The most amazing thing in this post... Yes, a 5 Seconds of Summer shirt. I ordered it on the 5sos website a couple of weeks ago and it's my all time favourite. (price: 25€)

The last shop was H&M. I was looking for my last wanted item: a leather jacket. I've never owned one so I thought it was about time to get one.

Good thing: I found a leather jacket.
Not so good: It cost me 40€.
Which is quite a lot for me because - if you haven't noticed already - I try to be as frugal as possible and if there's anything out of my price class then I simply don't buy it. But this time I made an exception and bought the jacket :-)
The kimono on the picture above was purchased before my trip along with the jeans I mentioned before. (price: 19,99€)

So this was it for this Wednesday and I hope you enjoyed it.
Have a lovely day! ♥
