Hello lovelies! ♥
I haven't written a book review in quite a while, so I though today should be about the - hands down - greatest book I've ever read:
The Fault In Our Stars
As you all probably know what this book (and the film) is about I'm just going to summarise the story in a few sentences.
So there's a girl name Hazel Grace Lancaster who suffers from thyroid cancer that has spread to her lungs - that's why she carries a portable oxygen tank with her. At a meeting of a cancer patients' support group, Hazel gets to know Augustus Waters who was suffering from osteosarcoma and who came along with a friend of his - Issac, which had a tumour in one eye, to which then he has the other one to be taken out as well.
Hazel, Augustus and Isaac eventually become really good friends and hang out a lot together.
Part of every novel:
The ever so romantic and lovely couple.
Sooner or later, Augustus and Hazel develop feelings for each other, just when Augustus' illness comes back. He gets incurably ill and... dies.
Not a big shocker, I believe...
Hazel is making big improvements with her health whilst her friend Augustus is slowly but surely dying.
And exactly that fact has made it quite emotional for me to read this book. I cried, I laughed, I frowned, I was beyond confused yet happy. It had left me in a mix of several emotions and at the end of it, I seriously just wanted to go back to the first page and read it again.
I've always been a bookworm and I've read many, many books so far but this one has been - and still is - my most favourite one; ever!
Nonetheless, I think I'm going to order some Nicholas Sparks books on Amazon in the next couple of days since I'm going on holiday in August and I definitely need some good reads for the trip down to Austria, ha.
Or maybe you can recommend a book?
I usually read, like, everything really haha
Let me know, which book has been your favourite, in the comments down below!
I hope you have a great week ahead of you!
