Let's Talk About Pets

When you've got a pet at home you will probably understand what I mean when I say that pets can become the most important individual in someone's life.

About five years ago, when we moved from Berlin to where we live now, we decided to get a dog. My mum wanted a Golden Retriever, my dad a Labrador Retriever, my brother wasn't bothered at all and I just wanted someone to cuddle with really.

One day my mum read the newspaper and found an advert from someone who wanted to sell four weeks old puppies. As we've never heard of the breed 'Harz Fox' before, we looked it up on the internet and I swear, it was the cutest thing I had ever seen!

So my dad made a call and on the next day we were able to see our puppy for the very first time! It was clear that we were getting a male and had already decided on the name Kimba
And when we arrived there it was obvious that we instantly fell in looove with him!

Now, five years later, he's all grown up but still as cute! I just love him so much and I'm so so glad that we got him and no other dog!

Last year, around Christmas, we found out that he's got a chronic adrenal insufficiency and ever since then he's on a permanent medical treatment. I was scared to death that he wouldn't make it...
But gladly, he's all good now and we couldn't be happier with him! :-)

Well, these occasionally happen as well because apparently he thinks it's funny to lick the lens of my camera right as I'm about to take a photo of him.

And to keep him with me wherever I go, I want to get his name tattooed on my wrist after my birthday in January! My parents don't know about that yet but I'm sure they'll like it... haha

Have you got any pets? :-)
