Outfit Ideas For New Years Eve

After all that Christmas stress and all the lovely food we've had it's time to get into a few preparations for the planned New Years Eve party, isn't it?
I have had a look at Rosa Novias CA* and browsed through their great variety of Prom, Bridesmaid and Wedding dresses to find a few bits and bobs that I would personally wear to a full-on New Years Eve party!

Down below there are a couple of my absolute favourites from the website that I find really gorgeous and absolutely wearable for such occasions as well as other parties!
These examples are probably not everyone's favourites but I can actually picture me - or my cousin - wearing one of these.
My absolute fave, however, is number three above. The dress itself is just gorgeous and I do love a pretty red dress for a special occasion like this!
The fourth dress above is something quite daring for me and would be a bit out of my comfort zone, in terms of material and neckline. It's still a piece that I'd try on and hope to feel comfortable in because it's just soo pretty!

However, if I had the chance I would probably go for all of these and just wear them whenever I would have the opportunity to!

My outfit for this year is quite random actually and I'm not really satisfied with it just yet... I might as well need some more fashion blogger inspiration!
Nevertheless, I will keep you up to date with the whole 'outfit planning process' and my little shopping trip when I'm back home in Berlin - first time in years that I'll celebrate New Years with my grandparents!

What have you planned for New Years Eve this year? :-)

Childhood Memories

As it is almost the end of 2015 I thought I'd just share some childhood memories with you, my lovely readers. I'm not really sure if that's the kind of posts you want to read but I thought it would be a nice way to end a year full of unexpected journeys and wonderful experiences.

My family has always been the most important part in my life. They've helped me through so much, it's impossible to thank them for what they've done for me! There won't be any photos of my parents or grandparents as they don't want me to publish them, which I totally understand.
But my brother doesn't care really. He's just being his fourteen year old self again which is freaking annoying at times but I still love him. I'm glad I've got a brother like him, to be honest!

When my brother and I were younger we always had the best times - which hasn't really changed. We still laugh a lot together, bake cookies or just play a round of Fifa on his Xbox, because that's what siblings do.

These photos are just some of the ones that my uncle took when we were younger. The last one, though, was taken last year at my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary and I must say both my brother and I changed a lot.

I experienced some pretty amazing moments during my childhood and I couldn't be more grateful to have such a great family.

Do you have any siblings?

Catrice Prime And Fine Eyeshadow Base

The most vital thing for using eyeshadows properly is a good eyeshadow base and so it happens that today I will review the Catrice Cosmetics Prime And Fine Eyeshadow Base
For 3.49€ this is by far the best eyeshadow base I've tried so far - although I'm not really into primers and bases that much because a little concealer will do as well - or so I thought!
This item has just completely changed the way I apply my eye makeup!

It's a lovely little product that makes your eyeshadow stay on forever and I think that it makes the colours appear a little darker than they actually are, which is not that bad in my opinion.

Here is a little example of what I'm talking about. It really makes the colours look more vibrant but it also makes this light pink shade look darker. It doesn't bother me but I don't think everyone will like that so I thought I'd mention that here.

The overall impression is quite positive and I really like using this base before applying my beloved Zoeva eyeshadows!

What's your favourite eyeshadow primer/base to use?

Would You Rather...?

I've been wanting to do this kind of 'challenge' for quite some time now and today is finally the day where I will basically just answer several 'Would you rather...?'- questions! There's no real explanation to why I like this so much but it's just really fun to see other people answer in a completely different way than I would do myself! - I hope you can relate to that haha

So below are ten of these questions, all answered by my humble self! :-)

Would you rather...
I. ...have more time or more money?
- More time so I can earn more money

II. ...work more hours per day, but fewer days or work fewer hours per day, but more days?
- More hours per day, but fewer days, duh!

III. ...have cookies or French fries?
- Definitely French fries

IV. ...get up early or stay up late?
- Get up early

V. ...be super fast or super strong?
- Super fast. The Flash has to be enough of an explanation for this.

VI. ...eat healthy or exercise regularly?
- Exercise regularly, I guess

VII. ...go without the internet or a car for a month?
- A car. What an easy question! :P

VIII. ...have your flight delayed by 8 hours or lose your luggage?
- Have my flight delayed for 8 hours! I can wait as long as my stuff is with me haha

IX. ...go forward or back in time?
- Go back in time and see what my ancestors were like

X. ...be a master of every musical instrument or be fluent in every language?
- Easy one: be fluent in every language because just imagine how cool that'd be!

What are your answers to these 'Would you rather...? - questions? :-) Comment down below!

❄ Christmas Clothing Haul ❄

My parents and I went out to do some shopping last week and I was determined to buy a cute outfit for Christmas.
I actually found quite a nice outfit to wear on Christmas Day and I can't wait to post some more photos of me wearing this on Instagram - if I manage to get some decent photos taken...

Both items for my outfit I found in a shop called New Yorker and I must admit that I was more than happy because I didn't find anything christmassy in H & M at all.

I really love the outfit, especially the skirt (9.95€)! And I think I will wear the top (12.95€) on New Year's Eve as well with a pair of red pants and some black heels or something... It's going to be so much fun to actually plan my outfits for once without thinking that it might look hilarious!

Like I said, I went into H & M - as always -, didn't find anything christmassy so I and got a grey long sleeved crop top with a high neck for 9€ and a layered golden necklace for 4.99€ instead. It was love at first sight to be honest!

I think these two go together really well and I can already imagine wearing this with a pair of high waisted black skinny jeans.

Planning outfits is not too bad after all actually... Maybe I should invest in two new camera lenses instead of just one and finally write some more fashion posts!

What have you bought recently?

❄ The Christmas Tag ❄

We're already one week into December of 2015 and I just can't wait until it's finally Christmas!!
My lovely friend Yana from TimeWithYana tagged me this year to do The Christmas Tag - I think that it is definitely not necessary for me to say that I really just love the fact that The Christmas Tag is the first ever tag here on my blog!

❄❄❄

What's your favourite thing about Christmas?
Personally, I think Christmas is a Holiday to spend with your (whole) family. It is about celebrating that time with your loved ones, with good food and the one or other lovely present. I also prefer gifting things to people rather than getting something myself because I just love the look on people's faces when they open their presents!

❄ Favourite Christmas movie(s)?
My ultimate faves for Christmas are definitely The Muppets Christmas Carol and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation when it comes to movies! They're a must for my family each and every year!

❄ Real tree or fake tree?
I've got a fake tree in my bedroom because it's just too small for a real one and I don't have all those needles spread across the floor. However, my family and I got a real tree in our living room because the room itself is just a lot bigger so the Christmas tree looks great in there! I also like the scent of a real tree way better, although fake trees don't really smell of anything... haha

❄ Giving presents or receiving them?
Well, I actually answered that question already! I love giving presents a whole lot more than receiving them! Nothing more to say to that! :-)

❄ Do you open your presents on Christmas morning or evening?
In Germany, we celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December so I open my presents in the evening of that exact day; after we've had the most amazing dinner, prepared by my lovely grandma!

❄ What tops your tree?
There's a little silver bow on top of the tree in my bedroom and a large red bow on the one we have in our living room!

❄ As a kid, what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Hmm, I do remember wanting a Lego set to build my own Spongebob figure, but I never got that... *sniffles* It's not really crazy as well, is it? haha

❄ Handmade Christmas cards or bought?
I'm not the most creative person out there so I don't even try to make my own Christmas cards - I always buy them!

❄ Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
There are a few actually that my family and I have kept going for the past couple of years.
We're always decorating the big tree on the 24th together while watching The Muppets Christmas Carol. After that, my brother, my grandma and I decorate her tree together while listening to some Christmas songs.
In the evening we all come together for dinner in my grandma's living room before handing out the presents! And last but not least, we're watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation together!
It's bascially been like this for the past five years and I love it!

This was my version of The Christmas Tag and I hope you enjoyed it! :-)
Below are the names of the bloggers I tag:

My excitement for Christmas has just grown to an unhealthy amount! Sooo exciting!

La Rive Cash EDP

You know that I love a nice fragrance to quickly spritz on before leaving the house, and recently I've discovered a new favourite of mine: The La Rive "Cash" Eau de Parfum
It's from Rossmann (German drugstore) and costs 6.95€, which, in my opinion, is such a fair price for the product you get with it!

The scent is quite heavy, but still nice, kind of spicy and maybe even just the slightest bit fruity, if that makes any sense - I'm still really bad at describing scents, my bad!
But nevertheless I think that it is a great fragrance for this time of year, especially with Christmas right around the corner!
It also lasts all day long, which is just another huge plus for this little gem!

This is also said to be a dupe for the Paco Rabanne - Lady Million, which I have never tried before, but if it's really a dupe for such a high quality perfume then it is definitely a good one.

For me Fridays always mean getting my hands on a new beauty item - while they just mean grocery shopping for my parents - and I think today I will treat myself with another one of these lovely La Rive fragrances!

What is your favourite perfume at the moment?
