January Favourites

It's that time of the month again: it's favourites time!

Since I've never really done a proper and well planned monthly favourites post before I thought I should include this kind every month from now on.
In January this year I found a few new things that I really like and that I thought are worth mentioning.
I will just start from the left hand side of the photo above and work my way towards the right hand side. :-)

I had been looking for a matching lip liner for my very beloved MAC Velvet Teddy, which I already mentioned in another post here, and I gladly found one in DM (German drugstore). They go together perfectly and I'm so happy I picked it up!

Now the next item is probably the most random thing I have ever talked about but it's the Ratiopharm Sodium Hyaluronate Eye Drops. My eyes have been really dry and itchy lately and I thought I'd give these eye drops a try and I like them. The bottle is very easy to squeeze so they're very comfortable to use, if that's how you describe it.

My most used and favourite perfume of this month has probably been the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Scent Spray. It's really refreshing and smells heavenly; for some reason it always reminds me of spring!

Along with my constant anxiety I've had quite some trouble to fall asleep the past few weeks and my Mum was determined to find something that helps me sleep better. And indeed, she found something which I had wanted to try for a really long time. It's the thisworks deep sleep pillow spray which you spray onto your pillow before you go to sleep and in my opinion it really makes me fall asleep faster and sleep better. Really like it!

My brows have been thanking me for purchasing this product ever since I first started using it - the Rimmel Brow This Way brow kit. I always use this with my Zoeva 322 Brow Line and for me it definitely works a lot better than a pencil or a gel.

In my first ever Lush haul I also mentioned the Bubblegum Lip Scrub and ever since buying it my lips are just so soft! I'm so glad I got this!

The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara has been my absolute favourite for almost a year now! I always go back to this mascara although I do like to try others as well but again, in my opinion no other product is as good as this one.

You may or may not have noticed that my love for lip products in general has very much increased during the past few months and when I discovered the Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit I thought that only one more product wouldn't hurt... It dries matte (obviously) and the colour is very suitable for everyday use.

And last but definitely not least I want to mention the Zoeva Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette. I've been using this on a daily basis and I just love it! The name alone was enough  of a reason to buy this! haha
I'm just joking but I'm really glad that I purchased this as well! :-)

Tell me about your January favourites! x

Life Update: January

As I was planning the first posts for this new year I thought I would include some regular posts - such as monthly favourites and goals - as well.
I want to post a 'life update' every half a year to keep things a little organised in life. It's almost like a journal to me because I want to write down experiences, things that bother me, make me happy, etc.

First of all I want to mention the photo above because that's one of the first photos I took with my new 35mm lens! Looove it!
But now on to the actual post...

As of the 18th of January this year I can say that I will have to start seeing my therapist a lot more often than before. My anxiety has gotten a lot worse all of a sudden and both my Mum and my Dad are quite worried about me and that's why they advised me to go back to a regular therapy.
This time I really hope that I will be shown some specific tips and tricks on what to do whenever I feel anxious or panicky. It's definitely going to be a long way but I'm very determined that I will handle this better than the last time.

I was trying my best to ban my love life from this blog for as long as possible but now I just have to write about it.
In October last year my boyfriend of two years and I broke up because we both thought it'd be better that way. Last week, however, we started talking again and I realised how much I miss him... Lots of people tell me to get over him and that I'm better off without him but then there are also people who tell me that it's worth a second chance. I'm still beyond confused and I hope to find a good way to figure this out soon.

My time in school is almost over - just one more year - and then I'm released into the adult world... Of course I'm already looking for an apprenticeship or study to start in summer next year but as for now I have no idea what exactly I want to do. I hope the appointment with my school's job counsellor will help me find the right way to sort this out a little more.

And last but not least, I turned blimmin' eighteen years old yesterday!! I don't feel any different, though.  My friends and I are going to have a little party next week with  lots of Minions, Disney and presents; because they just know me all too well.

I hope you liked this kind of post! :-) x

theBalm Nude 'Tude Eyeshadow Palette

As well as the Mary Lou-Manizer by theBalm the Nude 'Tude Eyeshadow Palette is a favourite amongst beauty bloggers all over the world - so I got my hands on this beauty as well!
Again, I ordered it on Amazon for 21.99€ which wasn't too much of a burden for my bank account at that time as I still had some money left that I got for Christmas... haha

This palette consists of twelve different shades, varying from matte to shimmery ones. Down below I've swatched all of them, starting with the first row from left to right, followed by the second one.
I like to use my Catrice eyeshadow base to make the colours even more vibrant but they're also very pigmented when applied without an eyeshadow base.

My favourite look to wear with this palette consists of three shades: Seductive, Sultry and Stand-offish. I use Seductive as my base colour and apply Sultry with a fluffy blending brush as my crease colour afterwards, Stand-offish is used to highlight the inner corner of my eye.
It's quite a simple everyday makeup look that I like to wear to school or even on lazy week ends.

Does theBalm Nude 'Tude Palette have a place in your makeup collection yet?

My Dream Holiday

"Wanderlust: An irresistable desire to travel to understand one's very existence."

Ever since I've been away from home on my own in 2012 I want to travel everywhere and see lots of other parts of the world. That very first trip to Rome is definitely something I will remember for a very long time, if not forever.
One year later I went to London for the first time in my life as well and I instantly fell in love with the city - hence the snow globe from London in the photo for this post!
And last but not least I've been to Paris in October last year and I really enjoyed my time there.
However, I do want to see other countries and other cities, as well as getting to know the people and the different cultures. In September this year I'm going to Scotland for about a week with my class - just a course trip but I'm sure it's still going to be amazing!

One of my biggest dreams, though, would be a trip around the whole world. I'd just do everything to be able to travel the world someday...

A few days ago I scanned some photos from my parents' trip to the US when they were on their honeymoon and it only made my desire to travel to New York or Los Angeles grow even stronger so I will definitely put those to destinations on my 'Where to travel'-list as well. Of course Australia and New Zealand are on that list, too because, let's be honest: those two countries are just beautiful.

Right now, I really am saving up some money to maybe go to London later this year because that's my actual dream holiday. You might have thought that I'd put something like the Seychelles, Bali or the Maldives in this post but for now my dream destination - without a doubt - is London. I've basically lost my heart to that city and I'm not ashamed to say that haha :-)

I'd be very thankful for some tips on where to stay and eat, etc. in London so I can perhaps plan my trip a little further!

Where would you like to travel to anytime soon?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

I know that lots of people rave about this foundation so of course I wanted to try it as well - so I took the chance and purchased it during the winter sale on feelunqiue! I probably went a bit crazy in the Rimmel section but I can't help it! Like I said in my haul, I just really love that brand.
My skin is very pale so I know that I always need the lightest shade whenever it comes to foundations or concealers - here I picked up the shade 010 Light Porcelain which is perfect for my skin tone!

The foundation itself has a really lovely scent to it and applying my foundation has become such a nice thing to do in the morning! I also find that this blends a lot better with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush than with my makeup sponge.
I'd say that this gives medium coverage which can definitely be build up - and with the right concealer on top you just look a lot more awake and ready for the day ahead of you.
It also lasts all day long which is great because I don't want to run to the Ladies room/restroom/toilet (whatever you call a public room with basins, toilets and mirrors) in school all the time and check if my makeup is still in place - once had a foundation like that and it was soo annoying!

This is definitely my go-to foundation at the moment and I highly recommend this!

Have you ever tried the Wake Me Up Foundation or maybe the matching concealer? Because that's the next makeup item I'd really like to try! :-)

How I Plan My Posts

With a new year and a new posting schedule I thought I would share one or two tips and tricks on how I plan my weekly posts. I was kind of unsure if I can keep up with publishing four posts a week but so far so good - there are only a few left for this month that are not finished yet! :-)
For me, organisation and a clear schedule is very important, that's why I own quite a few notebooks - mostly to write down random things, dates and ideas for my blog so I can look back at them whenever I'm working on posts, photos, etc.

Apart from my beloved notebooks I also got a calendar for the year where I can note down events, highlight important days or simply just have a closer look at the days I'm publishing a new post here on my blog. Sometimes I do take it to school with me to plan a few things in advance - I really like to have everything well planned and ready to be published on the internet; whether it is for my blog or something for school, for example.

Coming back to the actual topic of today's post and how I plan them I definitely want to add the first step that I never leave out, no matter how busy or lazy I am: Write down all the ideas that come to my mind and sort them until I like the order. At some points I have to rearrange my schedule because I just didn't have enough time to actually write and edit that exact post but I somehow still manage to get everything done in time.

After that first step - which is the most important one, in my opinion - I just write one post day by day until I finished all four for the week.
At the moment I'm really happy with my blogging schedule and the way I plan everything. Like I said, I never thought that I would be able to write and publish four times a week!

How do you plan your blog posts?

MAC Velvet Teddy

Probably every beauty blogger and MAC lover owns the Velvet Teddy matte lipstick - or at least a shade that's very similar to this one. So of course my shopping trip in Berlin - and the stops in several MAC shops - didn't help my longing for this beautiful nude shade!
Velvet Teddy is a nice browny-pinky nude shade which I love to wear almost every single day since I got it. It dries matte which is another plus from me because I don't really like shiny lipsticks.
My love for these lipsticks will probably grow a lot more and I won't be able to walk past a MAC shop without buying another one of these beauties!
The addiction is real people, the addiction is real... Nevertheless, it still cost me 20.50€ which is 1.) yet another burden for my bank account and 2.) an amount that I would normally never ever spend on a freaking lipstick!
But: it was soo worth it! I was sure that I would be happy with this purchase but I never thought that I would be this happy!
It's just the ramblings of a beauty blogger right here, please bare with me!

What else can I say about this absolute gem? It doesn't dry out my lips at all, it stays on all day long and it smells incredible! I think it's vanilla, which I normally hate the scent of but with this it's something completely different!

Which MAC lipstick shade has made its way into your collection recently?

Favourite Lifestyle Magazines

Magazines have always been my top source to get interesting information from - whether it's beauty, fashion, lifestyle or food/health related. When I was younger I always read the German BRAVO Magazine up until the age of fifteen, I believe, but then I discovered the more mature magazines such as Glamour or Vogue.
Down below I have listed my three most favourite magazines that I do read on a monthly basis - which means that I always try to buy them as soon as they're available in the shops.

Glamour - 2.20€
This has probably been my first ever 'magazine for women' and I actually bought it after I purchased my first ever mascara! I realised that putting on makeup - which for me was just applying mascara at that time - was quite a lot of fun and that it made me look very different; I liked it! So I started getting my hands on every monthly issues that comes out and always have a look at all those interesting articles; mainly about beauty, skincare and makeup.
Nowadays I am a lot more aware what makeup and beauty is all about and I really can't complain about my new found love for that topic!

Cosmopolitan - 3€
Whenever I buy this my Mum says to me "I used to read this every time I went to see the doctor when I was pregnant with you" - well, seems like I was meant to be reading this magazine! But long story short, I love Cosmo and I love every article in it; most of them are fashion or (life)style related. I must admit I do find this one a little bit better than the Glamour magazine but all in all they're two amazing beauty/fashion/lifestyle magazines!

Elle - 6€
I've only recently started purchasing and reading the Elle magazine but I do wonder why I didn't buy it sooner because it's soo good and I can already include that in my favourites! It's more of a fashion magazine and does remind me a little of the Vogue - correct me if I'm wrong here! I've only ever flicked through some pages when we went food shopping because 6€ for a magazine is blimmin' expensive! Well... The Elle magazine costs just as much but my Dad paid for it so it's less of a burden for my bank account... hehe

Do you have any other great magazine recommendations? I'd like to read some more! :-)

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick

The lipstick I have been wanting to buy ever since I first heard about it - the Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in the shade 107!
I bought it together with some other products on Feelunique (see my haul here) and instantly fell in love with it!
It's a lovely warm berry toned red that is very suitable for lighter skin, in my opinion!
I did look at a few images before actually purchasing it because I was slightly afraid that it might not be the right colour for me at all but I have been proved wrong. This shade is definitely something I've never owned before although it's not the most extravagant red lipstick in the world - it's just something special to me, I guess. :-) And it also has a very lovely scent to it which is another huge plus from me!
I present to you: my weird face and me wearing a Disney jumper. But this is what the lipstick looks like when applied on the lips. I like it!
Although I'm really not the best at applying lipstick - I'm actually terrible at it - I found this to be very easy to bring on the lips and it also has a really nice and creamy texture which makes it a lot more comfortable to wear during the day as well.

What do you think about Rimmel lipsticks?

What's In My Bag

The "What's In My Bag" - videos and posts are always my favourite and I thought I should try to write one myself!
My handbag is neither the prettiest nor the most expensive one but it does it's job and I cannot comlpain. It's a black and beige Primark shoulder bag that I bought in Paris in October for 9€, which is a fairly good price for such a decent bag!
It also fits quite a lot - even my notebook has it's space in it along with all my other stuff! But let's just start with the two biggest things in my bag which would be 1.) my notebook + pen and 2.) my purse. It's also beige and has some gold and pastel yellow details - my mum got me this for Christmas and it's so pretty!

I also keep a hair tie and my ear phones in my bag because I really can't stand it when my hair is flying everywhere so I just tie it into a ponytail et voilĂ , I'm happy again! haha
My ear phones - in their little pocket - are probably the most important thing as I always listen to music wherever I'm going; it just calms and relaxes me a lot.

Of course there are also things that you find in every bag: phone, lip balm, keys (with a Hogwarts keychain!) and paper tissues. These are just essentials for handbags, aren't they? Normally I also carry a cloth bag around with me so I don't have to get those plastic bags in the shops but I couldn't seem to find mine when I took this photo... Just imagine there's also a pretty cloth bag in it!

Now on to the last but definitely my favourite part: the nude lipstick. I've recently treated myself to the MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick and o to the m to the g, I love it! So of course it's the lipstick for my handbag!

And yes, this is what my handbag really looks like. I don't like brushing my hair when I'm out and about and I also hate throwing receipts into my bag so I immediately throw them away when I get home. I'm just a really tidy person...

Which handbag are you currently using? :-)

My Foundation Routine

It was kind of the challenge to write this post... I'm not really sure why, though, I did manage to somehow to write a presentable text.
Today's post is also just my usual foundation routine that I'd like to share with you as it only consists of a few products!

Before I apply my makeup I always make sure to cleanse my face with my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and then moisturise it. That's already the perfect base for me to apply my foundation on!

The foundation I apply afterwards is the Catrice Cosmetics Nude Illusion Make Up in the shade 010 Nude Ivory which I think will soon be replaced by the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - as soon as it's empty, of course! I always just use one pump on the back of my hand and bring it onto my face with a damp makeup sponge and blend that in.

As for concealer I'm using the Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer in the shade 010 Porcelain which gives great coverage and doesn't crease at all! I apply the concealer under my eyes because I always have dark under-eye circles and to my chronically red nose - Rudolph!
Again, I blend that in with my sponge and make sure to cover all the spots, redness and circles.

Before I apply my powder I always wait a few minutes to make sure that everything has dried as I don't want my makeup to look cakey throughout the day. The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in the shade 001 Transparent is my new go-to favourite powder and I apply that with a fluffy powder brush onto my forehead, my nose and my chin - basically my t-zone - to prevent my face from looking oily.

Sometimes, when I feel a little lazy and my skin is acting good, I also skip applying foundation and just put some concealer and powder on. It's not as long lasting but it still gives enough coverage to go food shopping on the weekend or to take the dog out for a walk.

I always go on to my brows and my eye makeup afterwards but I think I will upload my full everyday makeup routine anytime soon if you'd like to read that! :-)

What's your favourite foundation, concealer and/or powder at the moment?

Sweet American Pancakes Recipe

There are moments when I come home from school and just crave something sweet for lunch. But most of the time I'm just really lazy when it comes to cooking for myself so I just mix some ingredients together and hope for the best to happen... hehe
Lately, however, I've been making the American Pancakes with a recipe by Jamie Oliver, to which I just added some extra ingredients (original recipe here).

For about 5 - 8 pancakes you will need:

· 140ml milk
· 115g plain flour
· 110g sugar
· 1 heaped teaspoon baking powder
· 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
· 1 pinch salt
· 3 eggs

First you will have to separate the eggs - the whites coming into a slightly higher bowl to whisk them in later and the yolks into another.
Then add the milk, flour, sugar, baking powder and vanilla extract to the egg yolks and mix them until smooth.
Now you will have to whisk the egg whites and the salt until stiff and blend it in with the milk-flour-sugar-mixture.
Heat your pan and put some of your mixture into it. Fry your pancakes for a couple minutes until they're gold-brown and flip them with a spatula or anything else. Repeat this until the batter is empty, of course.
Last but not least serve them with whatever you'd like - preferably with something sweet as you've mixed sugar into these - nutella, jam, syrup, etc.
And now, enjoy!! :-)
This is what they should look like! Of course the credit goes to the rightful owner, Jamie Oliver, as this image is from the website!

The amount of pancakes always varies whenever I'm making these so don't worry if you just get five one time and the next time you get nine or something. It really depends on the size of your pan and the amount of batter you use for every single pancake.

If you try these make sure to post a photo on Instagram or Twitter and tag me (@liliesbeauty) in them! I would love to see your results - and I'm pretty sure they look way better than mine - that's the reason why I didn't include a photo of my pancakes because they looked horrible! haha

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighting Powder

As a blogger you've got to stay up to date with some of the products that most beauty gurus, bloggers and vloggers use and after Christmas I finally treated myself to the Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighting Powder by theBalm!
I have been wanting to try this for literally ages but I just couldn't bring myself to spend about 25€ for a highlighter - but now I'm so glad that I did!
I ordered it on Amazon and it arrived a couple of days later while I was in Berlin so I couldn't rip off the packaging right away to try it! haha

But when I finally did have the chance to try it for the first time I wasn't really surprised by the intensity and beauty of this product! Although it is just a highlighter I feel like this is my most precious makeup item in my small but slowly growing collection!

Of course I would recommend this lovely product to everyone who's looking for an amazing highlighter! Can't wait to use it on a daily basis - because a makeup look is nothing without a nice glowy highlight, is it?
I would also recommend using a good brush for this as it is really pigmented. At the moment I'm using the Zoeva 105 Luxe Highlight and it's an amazing combo!
Highlighting has definitely become one of my favourite parts of my daily makeup routine!

Are you a proud owner of the Mary-Lou Manizer? :-)

Lush Haul

Recently I've been to Lush for the very first time and what can I say? I'm already addicted to their products! When I walked into the shop my nose and my eyes really thanked me for doing so because it smelt like heaven and it looked so pretty, I can tell you! It was by far one of my favourite parts of being in Berlin again.
However, I only bought three products and two of them are shower gels because they were 50% off and I thought I should at least get the two most popular scents: Rose Jam (4.25€) and Snow Fairy (~4.00€).

Both of the gels are a dream come true and whenever I shower with them I instantly feel a lot better because the scent is just so lovely and fruity - especially Snow Fairy!

My most favourite item from my little Lush shopping spree is definitely the Bubblegum Lip Scrub (8.95€)! It smells a lot like Snow Fairy and tastes amaaazing! I'm also very happy with the effect it has on my lips as it makes them really soft and perfect for applying lipstick afterwards!

I'm so glad that I did decide to pop into Lush and actually buy something that I really wanted! My next order online will definitely be a Lush one... Oops! hehe

Are you a Lush addict yet? And if so, what are your favourite products?

Everyday Eye Makeup Look

Every morning, when I start getting ready for school, I really just want to save some time and get ready as quick as possible. That's when my pretty eyeshadow pencils come in handy! This time I'm going to show you two very simple eye makeup looks for everyday application!
I've put the images of the pencils / sticks together to give you a little overview of these two pretty items! The first one is the Deep Sea Elements Eye Pencil* in the shade 09, which is a really gorgeous berry toned red, which also reminds me a lot of my Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in the shade 70 Metallic Pomegranate!
The second one is the Bling Bling Eye Stick* also in the shade 09! When I unwrapped this beauty I thought I would never wear this colour, ever! But I have to admit that I do like it a lot!
I have also tried my very best and took some photos of how these two shades look when applied all over the lid! I blended the first one with the shade Hour by Hour, and the second one with the shade Gallery from my Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette!
I personally think that both shades are very suitable for simple but cute everyday makeup looks and I can't wait to start using these a lot more often!

What are your recent eyeshadow favourites?

P.S. Please excuse my weird face in these photos hahah I was really trying to make these look somewhat presentable but I think it's enough to show the effect of the product! :-) Also make sure to use the code MEEH10 on the Born Pretty Store website to get 10% off selected items!

*Some of these products may have been sent to me for reviewing purposes

Feelunique Haul

Happy Monday!
It's the first one this year and I hope you're ready for four posts every week - for as long as I know what to write about!

Today I'm going to talk about a little purchase I've made a few weeks ago on Feelunique as they have a huge winter sale at the moment with up to 50% off selected items!
Of course I couldn't resist and picked five things that were set on my wishlist for quite some time.
Four of those five items are Rimmel ones - oops! But I just love that brand so much; sadly we don't have it here in Germany...
Anyways, down below I've listed all the items from my purchase along with a short 'first impression'! There will be lots of detailed reviews in the next few weeks as well so be prepared for loads of make up!

Zoella Beauty Lace Collar Purse - 8.10€
This cute little purse was the only thing that wasn't on sale but I bought it nevertheless because I just wanted it soo badly! It's so pretty! *heart eyes emoji*

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - 010 Light Porcelain - 8.51€
When I bought my first Rimmel foundation I wasn't very satisfied with it because I picked the wrong shade.... But I tried this one as soon as I opened the parcel and it suits my skin tone perfectly! Very happy with it so far!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Transparent - 3.78€
I haven't really tried this one yet but I have to admit that it smells very nice - weird first impression, isn't it? This powder smells a little like freshly washed laundry and I looove that scent!

Rimmel Brow This Way Eyebrow Kit - Medium Brown - 3.78€
Again, I haven't really tried this item yet but I can't wait to fill in my brows with this lovely product! I've heard lots of good things about this brow kit and it's quite inexpensive either!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick - 107 - 5.20€
Zoe (aka Zoella) talks a lot about this lipstick and especially this shade, claiming it as her good 'ol and trusty lipstick-friend! Of course it was an easy decision for me when I saw that it was reduced and since I already had a couple Rimmel products in my basket I thought 'Well, why not just add another one?' I've also noticed that my own lipstick collection is growing one by one and I just really like that!

And this was it for my first haul of this year! I really hope you liked it! :-)

Are there some recent purchases that you've made online?

Happy New Year! + My Goals For 2016

Happy 2016 everyone! I hope you had a good start into the new year and celebrated it with your friends and family.
Right now I'm in Berlin and I celebrated New Year's with my cousin, her parents, our grandparents and some other family members and it was amazing! We had such a lovely time together!

As it is a completely new and fresh year to start with I thought I should just include my goals for this year in a new post as well! I'm planning quite a few changes both in my personal life as well as in my 'blogging life' and I'm really excited for this year and what's to come!
*Be prepared for a long and chatty post!*

The list below starts with the goals for my blog:
Try a new posting schedule
I'm planning a new posting schedule for Lilies Beauty which will include four posts a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 9:00 AM. Let's hope for the best and for loads of inspiration to actually write and publish four posts in one week! I will also try and put up a calendar as a widget on the right sidebar of my blog so you can see when the days are that a new post goes up!

Interact more with other bloggers
At first I didn't realise how important friendships with other bloggers really are until I met some amazing girls on the internet myself! I do hope to meet a lot more lovely people throughout the year and develop the one or other friendship.

Create more content that fits my blog
There are a few posts that I'm not quite satisfied with a few days after I have actually published them. Now this might sound weird but it's just how I feel about it so I want to really plan my posts on paper before I get on to the actual writing and publishing process.

Grow my following and be more active on social media
Let's face the truth: I'm probably the worst blogger when it comes to being active on Twitter, Instagram, etc. The only thing I update regularly is my blog really but this year I want to be more active on all my social platforms and also increase the amount of followers that I have.
My 'ultimate' goal for the end of the year is to reach a thousand followers on Bloglovin'. That would be soo cool!

Start vlogging / uploading videos
Okay so this part is really important to me and I will give 120% to achieve this goal because YouTube has always been a huge part in my life although I'm only just watching other peoples videos. However, I think I have reached a point in life where I just want to try and make something like that myself and maybe even have success with it. I can imagine that it's going to be a lot of fun!

Now on to my personal goals for 2016:
Learn ways to live with my anixety
This has been a goal of mine since the year of 2012 but I've never really been successful, I guess. But I've already ordered some bits and bobs to help me calm down whenever I feel anxious - and most of them are just things that I saw in Zoe's videos, to be completely honest with you.

Save money
I'm rubbish at saving money. It's just as it is. And being a blogger doesn't make it easier at all because I constantly see lovely new things that I want to try. This year, though, I just want to buy things that I really need because reality has hit me several times and guess what? I'm finishing school next year and actually wanted to move out and go back to Berlin but I definitely need quite some money to get that done. So saving money it is now! :-)

Improve my photography skills
This can be seen as a blogging goal as well as a personal one because I think that there are still a lot of things that I can do better while taking photos. And why not improve that this year?

Spend even more with my family here and in Berlin
I'm currently living with my parents, my brother and my grandma (my Mum's mother) and I see them every day - makes sense because I live with them, duh. But it makes me sad when I think about my other family members as they just live so far away from me and it's not the cheapest to get to Berlin by train - at least not for me.
In 2016 I really want to make an effort and see them at least every two months and spend some more time with them.

Well, this has been quite a challenge for me - in terms of writing and thinking of the right words. I know that I'm not the best at using the right words when it comes to something a little more serious but I always try my best.
I hope you liked this first post of the new year and make sure to leave some comments with your goals down below! :-)
