February Favourites

Ahh, I've missed blogging so much in the past few days but that little break was definitely needed! However, I don't want to rant too much about what has happened recently because it would just bring back all those memories that I'm still trying to forget, so let's just talk about my favourites of the month of February now, shall we?

First off I want to mention the lovely Nude 'Tude Eyeshadow Palette by theBalm. I found it to be very easy to create new makeup looks throughout this month, though, I'm still trying to figure out which shades of eyeshadow suit my skin tone, my eye and my hair colour best.

Next up there is the L'Oreal True Match Concealer. It's almost as good as my Catrice Camouflage Concealer but I ran out of that and they didn't have it in stock so I had to opt for another product. And to be honest, I'm so glad I purchased this instead because it doesn't crease nor does it leave my skin looking orange whatsoever.

Gigi Hadid is gorgeous. End of story. When I saw her advertising the new Maybelline The Falsies Pushup Drama Mascara I was sure that I needed it. Not that I already own enough mascaras... I didn't read much about the mascara when I bought it so I wasn't too sure about the product, the applicator, etc. But when I tried it for the very first time - you can see that "first time" in my Valentine's Day Makeup Look - I was blown away by how great  it made my lashes look! I'm still a bit stunned every time I use this!

Twig is my second ever MAC lipstick and I just adore this shade so much! It's simply stunning and it's still muted enough for me to wear this to school.

And there's yet another Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in my growing makeup collection. This time I picked up the shade Creme de Rose and it's the perfect shade when applied just on its own but you can also use this as a base colour for other eyeshadows.

I've never really been into lip oils but when I walked past the Catrice counter at Rossmann, this particular product had caught my eye. It's the Luxury Lips Intensive Care Gloss and I started using this every time before going to bed. It makes my lips so very smooth and soft and it feels heavenly! Really recommend this!

Both the Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in 283 Maybe Blue and the Rival de Loop Nail and Cuticle Oil have been the only two things that I put on my nails this month. I really like the colour of the nail polish because it just reminds me so much of spring and I love that time of year! The nail oil, however, is great for making your nails look healthy and shiny again.

What have you been loving throughout this month? x

Minimal Makeup Look

Since having my new lens and the remote control for my camera, I've really been enjoying doing makeup look-posts, so I thought I should blog about the easy, minimal makeup look that I've been wearing quite a lot recently!

For this look (foundation, concealer, brows and contour already applied and done) I applied the last shade in the second row of the above eyeshadow palette* all over my lid. For my crease colour, I used the third and fourth shade in the first row of the palette and blended that with a fluffy blending brush.
And for some extra shimmer I popped a tiny bit of the Mary Lou-Manizer onto the center of my eye lid. Et voilà, you're (almost) done!
Then I applied a few coats of the MaxFactor 2000 Calorie Dramatic Volume Mascara to make my eyes appear a little bigger.

Of course I wanted a bit of colour on my lips as well so I applied the After. 90 Charming Lipstick in the shade 19 Hold Live*, which is a gorgeous pinky nude shade - reminds me a lot of MAC's Twig!

Let me know what you think about this look! x

Chocolate Cookies Recipe

I have been loving lots of recipes lately - whether they're for delicious cookies or a great dinner! And most of the time the things that I make taste quite good as well, so I'm very proud of myself for stepping foot into this new area of free time activities because cooking and baking have become a new hobby of mine!

However, for these Chocolate Cookies you will need:

2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup softened butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips

Firstly, you will have to preheat the oven to 175°C and mix together the flour, cocoa powder and the baking soda.

Then you will have to blend the butter and both the white and the brown sugar in a separate bowl until smooth. Beat in one egg and continue blending, then add the second egg and the vanilla extract; blend well!
After that you will have to add the flour mixture into the sugar-egg mixture and again blend until smooth. Now add the chocolate chips and mix everything together.

Place the batter on ungreased baking sheets with two teaspoons and bake them in the oven for 9 to 12 minutes until the edges are golden.

These cookies are really easy to make and I would like to know if you've tried these and how they turned out! :-) x

Highstreet Beauty Wishlist

Image credit to the rightful owners!
It's been a while since I posted  a wishlist so I thought it's about time to include one in this month's posts. There will also be a Highend Beauty Wishlist soon, but as for today I want to talk about a few highstreet/drugstore products that I've been lusting over for quite a while now!

L'Oreal Clean Definition Telescopic Mascara | There are many great mascaras out there, but I've been wanting to try this one for over a year now, though, I never got to spend 15€ on a mascara; which is still a fairly affordable price compared to NARS or Charlotte Tilbury products!

Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks | I think that these lipsticks are somewhat new because I haven't seen them in many shops in Germany yet but I hope that I will get the chance to try a couple of these soon! There are many gorgeous shades that would look lovely in lipstick collection! haha :-D

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation + Concealer | There are many great reviews out there including these two products so of course I want to try them as well! And you may or may not know by now that I am a sucker for hyped products until I get to form my own opinion on them!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush | It's obvious that I would really love to buy all Rimmel products available but sadly we don't have this brand here in Germany... *crying emoji* But whenever I order something on Feelunique there's at least one product from Rimmel so I think the next time I'm going to order something, there will be one of these beauties as well!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadows | There are already two of these gems in my makeup collection, however, I definitely want to purchase more of them! They are just great for everyday use and they do look beautiful on their own or blended with matching shades of other eyeshadows. Love these!

What have you been lusting over lately? x

5 Things: Favourite Makeup Brushes

After I had published the post about my 5 favourite makeup brands last week, I thought I could do another post on my 5 most used makeup brushes; so that's what I'm going to talk about today!
It was quite the challenge to choose five brushes to feature in here but I think I've made a good decision and I picked the ones I use the most, so it's just fair to mention them, isn't it? :-)

There are basically just three brands that I own makeup brushes from: Zoeva, Real Techniques and BH Cosmetics. I would love to try other brands as well, though, so let me know if there are any brands that do great brushes in the comments! x

Zoeva | By far my favourite brand when it comes to face brushes! I don't own many Zoeva brushes, though, I picked two from my small but growing collection: the 105 Luxe Highlight, which I only use for highlighting my cheek bones and other areas of my face, and the 221 Luxe Soft Crease, which is perfect for applying eyeshadow throughout the outer corner and the crease of the eye.

BH Cosmetics | These brushes came along in my first ever 'real' brush kit that I had ordered on Amazon. At that time, I didn't know the brand BH Cosmetics so I was more than excited to try these. By now, I especially love their Powder Brush and their Blending Brush. I use both of these on a daily basis and I don't think I will use any other powder or blending brush any time soon!

Real Techniques | RT brushes are definitely a Holy Grail and although I just own the Expert Face Brush I have to say that it's by far my favourite brush for applying foundation. I can't wait to buy more of these! :-)

Have you got any makeup brush recommendations? x

The Lip Product Tag

Yesterday I was kindly tagged by the lovely Yana from TimeWithYana to do The Lip Product Tag! And for me as a professional lipstick hoarder this is definitely up my street and I just had to write this right away!

So let's just get started...

What is your favourite balm or treatment?
My favourite lip balm would have to be the Alterra SOS Lip Balm which I always apply throughout the day and after I have scrubbed my lips with the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. It's definitely my most favourite combination to prevent my lips from getting dry and chapped!

What is your favourite eye-catching red?
Normally, I don't wear red lipsticks that often but when I do I like to reach for the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in shade 107. It's quite a berry toned red and I must admit that I don't own a true red shade in lipsticks but I've been having an eye on MAC's Ruby Woo...

Best luxury and drugstore product? And also, best MAC lipstick?
The answer to the luxury and MAC part is definitely Velvet Teddy. It's the perfect shade for my skin tone and it just suits me very well. My favourite drugstore product(s), however, would have to be my Rimmel lipsticks because they're just fantastic!

Most disappointing lip product?
Just like Yana, I luckily have never come across a bad lip product and I hope that I will never have to try a bad lipstick, lip balm, etc!

Lip liner: yes or no?
Sometimes, when I want to invest a little more time in doing my makeup, I do line my lips but when I'm just on the go I put on the lipstick on its own.

Favourite lip gloss?
I don't wear any lip glosses but I do own a couple which are from the Tanya Burr Cosmetics range and I really like those but I wouldn't say that they are my favourites.

I tag these lovelies to do The Lip Product Tag as well:
Ela from ElaBellaWorld
Becky from Lipgloss & Lashes
Charlee from Charmed Charlee
Sophie from Sophie's Makeup

What are your favourite lip products? x

MOTIVATIONAL | She Believed She Could So She Did...

This quote has been my favourite ever since I first saw it in one of Zoe's videos. I basically made this photo myself with picmonkey I believe, printed it and put it up on my wall because it's just a really lovely thing to look at when you're feeling stressed or sad.

I do often feel a little overwhelmed with everything going on at the moment, whether it is school, my therapy or anything else. However, this quote always reminds me to just keep going because in the end, all the work has been totally worth it.

It has also made me become confident to do things that I never thought I would do in my entire life.
For me, things such as talking to a large group of people for example or simply believing in myself are terribly difficult and I'm so glad I can now look forward to handling difficult things a little better than I normally would.

I think it is very important to share these small moments of personal success on my blog and I would like to know whether you have an important quote that helps you whenever you're having a hard time. Let me know in the comments down below!

To sum this up like an actual motivational post: Never stop believing in yourself. If you really want to achieve something, then you will definitely do so, no matter how hard it might be. Be faithful and trust yourself with the decisions you make and it will work xx

♥ Valentine's Day Makeup Look ♥

Last year I tried my very best to make my first makeup look (here) kind of special and I was really happy that I somehow managed to upload something like that. But this year I really am proud of my Valentine's Day Makeup Look - post!
It's a lot easier to take photos with a remote and a 35mm lens... Don't know how I survived without these two for such a long time!

I used the Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette a little more and tried a few different looks with it but the one I show you today is definitely my favourite one and I think it's just really cute for Valentine's Day.
For this look I already applied my foundation, concealer and face powder like I always do and filled in my brows! :-)

As you can see I used the shades Spun Pearl, Old Master and Exquisite
I applied Spun Pearl all over my lid as my base colour and darkened my crease with the shade Exquisite and blended it with a fluffy brush until I thought it looked good enough.
Afterwards I used a bit of Old Master and applied that to the very outer corner of my eye and blended it again.

Lastly, I took the brush I applied Spun Pearl with and applied a little of that to my lid and the inner corner to make it a little brighter.

Then I used my newest mascara love: the Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara! This stuff is amaaaazing! *heart eyes emoji*
And last but not least, I applied my Essence lipstick in the shade 03 Come Naturally to complete the look!
I really hope you like this look as much as I do and I will definitely wear this on Valentine's Day although I will probably be all alone watching some episodes of PLL! x

Secret Garden Colouring Book

Surprise, surprise - I heard Zoe talking about these amazing colouring books for adults and of course I wanted one!
This is the Secret Garden one and it has got lots and lots of beautiful pictures in it. There are also a few tasks to do like searching ten butterflies throughout the book or three lady bugs or something. You can also continue drawing some of the patterns but I'm not good at that so I will just keep colouring the bits that are there already :-P

I thought that all these drawings could help a lot whenever I feel anxious and they indeed help me coping with these feelings of anxiety and panic. Sometimes the only thing that can help me, though, is the medicine I was prescribed only a few weeks ago. But then there are also times where I can actually sit down and relax while colouring some parts of any of these pretty drawings. It also helps to destress and let your mind unwind.

This is definitely the best thing I've invested money in; in a very long time!

Have you got any of these colouring books yet? x

5 Things: Favourite Makeup Brands

You may or may not have guessed that amongst all these amazing beauty and makeup brands there are a few - five to be exact - which are my all-time favourites. I only just noticed that all these brands are highstreet ones as well but I bet you won't mind saving some money while still buying great products! :-)

To start this list with the most obvious one I'm of course going to mention Catrice Cosmetics because their products are just amazing! The moment I got into makeup and beauty stuff a couple of years ago, Essence was the first brand I tried because it appealed the most to me but after I noticed the Catrice counter right next to it I couldn't keep myself from buying most of my makeup from there instead!

The next brand I want to talk about is Rimmel. Thanks to feelunique I was introduced to this lovely brand and their products and I'm glad I discovered this! I especially love their lipsticks - they basically were the reason for my growing lip product addiction - oops.

Maybelline. Their products are great and I always find the items I'm looking for. My latest obsession is definitely The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara...! Post on that coming soon!

In my opinion, L'Oreal Paris products can be quite pricey sometimes but they're totally worth it. But whether you're looking for a new foundation, a mascara or a blusher, L'Oreal has got you covered!

And last but not least *drum roll* Sleek. A few years ago I ordered my first Sleek eyeshadow palette on Amazon because I thought it looked really pretty. But it turned out to be my most used palette - until I got my Zoeva one... haha
But Sleek products are very good value for money and I like that I can order them on Amazon because they unfortunately don't sell it in Germany :-(

Can you recommend any other makeup brands? x

L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive - Eva's Delicate Rose

My lipstick collection is ever so slightly growing day by day and I love it! I might have spent too much money on lip products in general but oh well... That's what it's like to be a beauty blogger, isn't it?

Last month, I was kindly gifted this lovely lipstick from my cousin when we were shopping in Berlin! :-) I've wanted to try a lipstick from the L'Oreal Color Riche Collection in a long time and I was more than happy when I finally got one - and I can't believe they actually had the shade I wanted!

As mentioned in the title this is the shade Eva's Delicate Rose and it's a gorgeous rosy pinky colour that just reminds me of spring and summer - can't wait to wear it every day during those times of year! This is also one of the few lipsticks that I own which gives a sheer finish to the lips.
I love how it makes my lips appear a little fuller than normal when I have this applied! It also has a very nice scent to it and is stunningly easy to apply - always a huge plus!

Have you tried a shade from the Color Riche Collection yet? x

How To Stay Organised

To become organised is easy but to stay organised is the real deal here. Ever since I started blogging I noticed how important organisation is; no matter if it's for a school project or a one week visit at your Grandma's.
Notebooks have also become my closest friends and I love to just write down everything that's been on my mind for too long, whether it's in a Word document or on paper.

It's also very important to know when you want to get certain things done and start as early as possible. For instance, I've been doing my homework the day we were told to do them and not just one day before they're due. It leaves me with a lot more time to plan other stuff and get that done as well.

Organisation is mostly about planning things well. Make sure to keep that in mind and write down things that are more or less important; at some point you will need that tiny information your Dad told you about your next appointment or the extra work the teacher gave you.

I once again noticed how bad I am at describing the things that are completely normal to me. Maybe I should just start making videos... *shocked emoji*

Most of the time I want everything to be as good as possible and I want it to look like I put a lot of effort and work into it. I might be somehwhat of a perfectionist and it's really bothering my parents of my friends at some point but I either do things as good as possible until they're done or I just leave it completely.
This does sound like I've gone completely mental but I feel the most comfortable when everything is well planned and organised :-)

Do you know what I'm talking about? Have you got any more tips on how to stay organised? x

February Goals

This photo might seem a little random to put in a February goals post but in the month of January I've bascially adopted this little cutie and I really like this photo so I thought "Why not just share it with my readers?" :-) I don't have a name for him/her yet so leave some neutral name suggestions in the comments below if you have any! x Yeah, I don't even know if it's a male or a female but I don't really care; it's sooo cute and fluffy! *heart eyes emoji*

I have the feeling that most of my monthly goal posts will contain the same goals again and again but of course I'll try my very best to always think of something new so let's get started now, shall we?

First of all I definitely want to sort out my love life this month. I still hope that Valentine's Day will be somewhat bearable this year... If not, ice cream and Netflix will help me get through it, duh! I also hope that there might be a second chance for me and my "ex boyfriend that I still like a lot". Sounds so weird but I'll try to keep you updated on this one haha

Secondly, I really want to get all my posts done because four posts a week are a whole lot to write and think about. So far I I've done a pretty good job, if I may say so myself...! I also want to think of some new ideas for my blog this month so stay tuned! :-)

Because of my therapy I have to think of ways to 'ease' my anxiety and I seriously thought about a few ways to do so. That's why I want to become a better person. This sounds really weird again but I think this will help me and everyone else as well to understand life better and maybe it will help me to enjoy the little things a bit more as well.

Which is actually another goal of mine for this month. I always want to achieve the greatest things possible and if I don't then I'm devastated and beyond disappointed with myself. But I want to learn to enjoy and appreciate the little things in life a lot more.

And my last goal for February is to be a little more confident and know my strengths and weaknesses. This is basically it because I know that it will take a lot for me to actually achieve this goal but I'll do my best to give it a try!

What do you want to achieve this month?
