Beach Day Essentials

It was snowing when I was writing this. Yep. Summer just seems so far away... *sigh*

But I wanted to write this post anyway because at some point of the year, the sun will be shining again and it will be the perfect time to hit the beach! Plus, I was introduced to Adore Me's swimwear and lingerie collections so it's even more ecxiting to share my #BeachDayMusts with you.
And as you can read by the title of this post, this is exactly what I'm going to write about today!

Starting with the right clothes to wear, which are obviously a bikini, sandals, a tunic and a hat, I found a few pieces on Polyvore that I would definitely take with me this summer! Turquoise and aqua coloured clothes are just a must for me at the moment!
Of course, sunglasses are just as important as well as the right sunscreen to protect your skin, so these things would come with me as well.

As for a beach bag, I would always bring a tote bag to fit everything needed, such as a towel, makeup, my phone, etc.
Speaking of makeup, there are just a few bits and bobs that I would bring to the beach and apply in the morning. It's just a very minimal makeup look, consisting of concealer, mascara, a bit of highlighter and a nude lipstick.
For those four makeup bits I picked the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, the Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette and the Sea Drench Lip Splash Lipstick in the shade 'Beach Bum' from the same Tarte collection.

There's also the Marine Boosting Mist from Tarte which I think would be great to have at the beach and to spritz on every once in a while to keep the skin fresh and hydrated.

That was basically it for my Beach Day Essentials post! What would you take to the beach with you?

Lots of love x

Makeup Revolution x British Beauty Blogger - 'Fortune Favours The Brave' Palette

First row (l-r): Glimmer, Buffer, Peachy, Hope, Fortune, Skylight, Transformer, Midnight Rainbow
Second row: Ice Cloud, Golden Coins, Cashmere, Tip Top, Yes Please, Green Machine, Smoothie
Third row: Caffeine Fix, Latte, Pink Diamond, Creme, Drama Queen, Lonely Planet, Blacqua
Fourth row: Soft, New World, Favour, Sunset Hour, Super Gold, Winning, Brave, The Revolution
Second row (swatched): Ice Cloud, Golden Coins, Cashmere, Tip Top, Yes Please, Green Machine, Smoothie
This palette is by far the prettiest eyeshadow palette I have ever seen. At first, I was too scared to evem dip my brush or my finger into one of these gorgeous shades but when I did I was stunned by how pigmented they are!

A few days after this palette was released, I ordered it on the Makeup Revolution website for about 14€ (without shipping costs), which is a fairly good price, considering the amount of shades - 32 to be exact - you get with this palette.

As you can see there are shimmery shades as well as matte ones, so there should be colours for everyone's liking.
The actual reasons why I ordered this, though, were a) the design and b) the looks I could create with such a variety of eyeshadows! I love to experiment with new makeup looks and I'm sure this palette will help me create a few good ones.

Altogether I would highly recommend this eyeshadow palette with its pigmented shades, great colour payoff and pretty design! You definitely can't go wrong with this one! :-)

Is this palette part of your makeup collection yet? And if so, how do you like it?

My Current Skincare Routine

My skincare routine has changed quite a lot since the last time I blogged about it. However, I feel like this is the best routine for my skin I've ever had!

I suffer from Rosacea for about six years now and I thought I would never find anything to help me get the redness under control, but at the beginning of this year I discovered the Rosaliac range by La Roche-Posay and I was instantly amazed by the result!

The first step of my current routine is getting the makeup off of my face and for that I use the La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Micellar Make-Up Removal Gel. I pump it once and bring it on to my face, using my hands for this. Then I just wipe it off with a damp face cloth.
I also use the Nivea Sensitive Micellar Water to make sure my skin is ready for the next step.

After that I use the La Roche-Posay Rosaliac AR Intense Localized Redness Intensive Serum on the most reddened areas of my face, which is basically just my nose. Worst area for localised redness, I tell you!

For the rest of my face I use the La Roche-Posay Rosaliac UV Riche Anti-Redness Moisturizer and I'm ready either for bed or for qpplying my makeup.

Are there any brands that you can recommend when it comes to skincare products?

A Touch of Mint & Pastel

It's definitely been a while! But I'm so glad to be back blogging and I hope that the things that kept me from writing will become a little easier to handle, e.g. my anxiety, school, etc.

In the past four weeks or so - during my break, ha - I've been thinking a lot about upcoming posts and ideas for my blog in general and I really wish to get everything done the way I planned it.

However, today's post will be a fashion related post, which I don't write often, as you may know.
A few weeks ago, Sonja from Happiness Boutique kindly sent me an e-mail and asked if I was interested in a collaboration; of course I said yes! That's where the gorgeous statement necklace is from that I'm wearing in the photos - they have plenty more of these beauties!

Happiness Boutique is a German jewellery and accessoires brand. On their website, they also offer free shipping, a great customer reward programme and monthly giveaways that you should definitely check out!

As for now I only own the Delight Statement Necklace in Mint* and I love it! I hope to be purchasing a few more items from them anytime soon, though!

My favourite outfit to wear at the moment is quite simple but still cute: a pastel pink blouse, a black top and a denim jacket from H&M, black ripped skinny jeans from Primark and a pair of white sneakers. I also like to switch up the accessoires that I'm wearing with this outfit, in this case it's a statement necklace, but sometimes I like to wear all rose gold jewellery or just none at all.

I've been planning a few lookbooks for the next months and I'm super excited for you to see them!

Oh, and there's also a 10% discount code for orders over 19€ for you to use at checkout on Happiness Boutique. Just enter the code 'liliesbeauty' and you're good to go (valid until May 15)!

Lots of love x
