Summer Fashion Wishlist

This time my fashion wishlist definitely got a tiny bit longer than expected... But for me, the season of summer is always the time to bring something new into my wardrobe! So I took the time and ideas and created a wishlist on Polyvore, including all the things that I would really like to buy this summer - I will probably just buy one or two things but it's good to see all those cute bits and pieces out there :-P

Starting this list with the least summery item of clothing - a bomber jacket, preferably in black or navy blue. I've been keeping an eye on a jacket like this but they're all just so expensive! The problems of a broke student blogger, boo :-(

Next up on my list, there are the Ray-Ban Clubround Tortoise sunglasses, which I am absolutely in love with but can't afford, and a basic floppy hat for hot and sunny days. Both of these have only recently made their way onto my wishlist but I hope to be purchasing them this summer - probably not these sunglasses but another pair that's similar.

I have also been really loving jumpsuits lately and that's why there are a couple on my wishlist this time. I don't want these three in particular but a couple that are similar to them. The patterns are just so lovely and perfect for summer!

Probably my favourite items of clothing to wear during the hot season: dresses. This year I love to wear dresses with patterns on them, like flowers, polka dots, stripes, etc. so I hope to be able to pick up a few cute dresses throughout the next months!

Crop tops are also very lovely to wear during summer and I hope to buy a couple more of them this year! I also want to follow the trend - a little late, though, I know - and buy a few off-the-shoulder crop tops because they look like the perfect top to wear with a cute pair of denim shorts and white sneakers or something!

And last but not least, there are three accessoires that I just really like, which would be layered necklaces - love them! - and two handbags, one of them being a little bigger than the other one. Pastel pink and blue are just my colours at the moment and they're probably the most girly colours ever but I don't really care because they're just too cute! haha :-)

What's on your summer fashion wishlist at the moment?

Life Update: May

It's already been a while since I last posted a 'Life Update' but I thought it was time for another one.

Since my last post about what's going on in life, a lot has happened but mostly just good things, to be honest.

First things first, I feel like I've finally found the love that I've been looking for the whole time. It's nothing like the things I've experienced before and I'm sooo happy. I really didn't plan it but I'm so so glad that it happened.
I know you're reading this - the one I'm talking about - and I just want you to know that I really really love you and I'm so grateful to have you in my life and to call you my boyfriend ♥

Secondly, I recently got my results for the CAE English Test and I freaking passed at Grade A! I still can't believe that this actually happened because I genuinely thought that I failed. But luckily, I passed and I couldn't be any happier!

There are not only positive things going on, though. My anxiety is changing from good to bad every other day and the therapy doesn't seem to help just yet. I hope it gets better anytime soon...
Also, my parents just really annoy me lately because all they seem to care about is money, money, oh and did I mention money? I don't know what's wrong with them but I do know that they make it seem like it's all my fault - so glad I can move out after school next year!!

However, I feel like the past five months have been extremely worth experiencing and there were lots of amazing but also horrifying things going on, but it's definitely getting better and better.

This may sound cheesy and whatnot but I'm so grateful for every day that I'm alive and for the things that I'm experiencing...

What's been going on in your life recently? :-)

"Home is where the heart is."
Berlin is just my hometown and I always feel like crying when I'm at the train station, waiting for my train to take me back to where I live now...

It's been six years since we moved away from Berlin and every single day not spent in that city basically tears me apart. I wish we never moved here, to be honest... But I would have missed out on some really amazing things as well.

The photos are just the ones I thought are the best from what we visited and had a look at, since it was a special someone's first time in Berlin... :-) So my cousin and I basically had to give him a little tour around the city, which was quite interesting for us as well.

I'm really looking forward to move back to Berlin next year after school... The start of a new exciting chapter in my life :-P

Let me know how you like the photos, I would like to hear your opinions!

Fourth row (swatched): Pure chocolate, Raw, Red night, Molton Chocolate, Burgandy Nights, GreenStars, Café noir, Night
There's yet another eyeshadow palette that I want to talk to you about - the Makeup Revolution 'Flawless' Palette.
I'd seen Cherry talk about this palette in one of her videos and the shades were just right up my street so I thought I'd give this one a try as well (see my 'Fortune Favours The Brave' Palette review here)!

There are 32 matte and glittery, as well as shimmery shades in this palette; something for everyone, I would say!

However, I must say that I don't like every shade given but most of them are just very well pigmented and amazing to blend with a blending brush. And with an eyeshadow base, I feel like they last even longer!
Most of the time I just wear a very minimal amount of makeup to school and I don't tend to get very heavy on the eyes either but when I do want a bit more colour on my eyes, I always reach for this palette because it's got a lot of shades. Combined with the other Makeup Revolution palette mentioned above you're most likely to be prepared for every occasion!

What do you think of this palette? Will it make its way into your makeup collection soon? :-)

Shades of Nude

If there was one thing that I had to name as a part of almost every makeup look of mine then it would definitely be a nude lip. And there are five products that I just really like and that I want to show you today!

First of all, there's the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in London and oh well, it's by far my favourite out of these five! The scent that these lip creams have is just incredible, you definitely need to check these out!

Next up is the MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy. Now this one is a very nice browny-nude shade that's very close to my natural lip colour and I think it's just suitable for a lot of everyday makeup looks.

Speaking of MAC, I have one more of their lipsticks which is the shade Twig. This one is just as gorgeous as Velvet Teddy but a bit darker and slightly more pink/berry toned; really love this one!

Trend It Up is still a new (German) brand for me but I always like to discover new makeup bits and pieces so I recently picked up this Ultra Matte Lipcream in the shade 065 and it turned out to be a little more peachy than when I swatched it in the shop. Still like it though!

And last but not least, I want to mention the Sleek Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream in the shade Birthday Suit. It's been a while since I watched Meg Says talk about this product in one of her videos and ever since purchasing it right after the video had finished - yes, I actually ordered it because of that video lol - my slight addicition to nude lip products started developing :-P But this is definitely a very pretty shade to wear on every occasion!

What are your favourite nude lip products? Let me in the comments! :-)

April Favourites

Another month has already gone by, which means that it's time for some monthly favourites!

During the month of April I have come back to loving some products that I had already owned for a while but something about them made me love them even more this month!

Starting with a foundation that I purchased in January this year, it's made its way back into my heart this month, the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. And together with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush this foundation is a real gem!

In my Valentine's Day Makeup Look, I used the Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara and I'm still loving it. It's just a mascara that I can apply and know that it will look good because it doesn't make my lashes stick together or anything. Still highly recommend this!

As for lip products, I have been using the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade 'London' almost daily this month! It's a gorgeous pinky nude shade that's suitable for any kind of occasion.

The Catrice Cosmetics Camouflage Cream is something that I had been wanting to try ever since I knew it existed and this month I finally came around to buying it! It has a great coverage and it's perfect for concealing dark under-eye circles! Love it!

Fragrance-wise I have been loving the Betty Barclay EdT No. 1! It's a very fresh and flowery scent and I just really love it!

And last but not least, there's one cleansing water that's made its way into my skincare routine this month, the Nivea Sensitive Micellar Water. It's just a very soft cleansing water that I use twice a day to prep my skin for any further products.

What have you been loving throughout April?
