The Irresistible Me Jade Hair Straightening Brush

First of all, I have to say that I'm more than proud of myself for filming this little video clip for this post! :) I've had the idea of including a video in posts before but I was always too scared to sit in front of a camera and record myself, like, doing my makeup or something. But for today's post, it was about time to press that record button for the very first time...!

Speaking of today's post, it's about my most favourite hair styling tool at the moment. It's the Jade Hair Straightening Brush* from Irresistible Me. It's a ceramic straightening brush, and may I just mention that its colour is the coolest thing I've ever seen on a hair styling tool?!

This hair straightening brush is perfect for any type of hair as you can set the temperature how you like it; the handling is pretty easy as it only has three buttons: one to turn it on and off, one plus '+' - button to heat it up and one minus '-' - button to lower the temperature. So you see, there's nothing you can do wrong!

To demonstrate you how the brush works, I curled my hair in the morning and used the brush at a temperature of 177°C to straighten my hair; which worked perfectly fine!
At first, I wanted my hair completely straight but when I saw which effect this brush had on the curls, I didn't really want it straight anymore! It gave so much more texture and volume to my hair, I never thought that a straightening brush could actually do this!
The day after, I actually used the brush after I had washed and blow dried my hair just to give it a bit more volume and softness, because my hair always feels amazing after brushing it with this gem!

I'm really loving this hair styling tool and I highly recommend it to basically everyone! It's so easy to use, gives great volume, softness and texture to your hair and it's overall amazing!
There will for sure be more about this gem of a hair styling tool soon on the blog! Maybe even with another video... :D

Have you ever tried anything from Irresistible me? x

Glossybox October 2016

There are lots of amazing beauty boxes out there, but for me, the Glossybox is definitely the best one! In today's I'm going to talk about the Glossybox from October 2016*!

As you all probably know, there are always five different beauty products in each box, in this case there are six products because I also signed up for an extra beauty product (which is the lipstick and oh dear, I love it!!)

First up, there's the bebe more Daily Face Cream. It says that it combines the moisturiser, primer, concealer, foundation and powder all in one. I haven't tried this one yet but I'm really excited for it!

The Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait is the one extra beauty product that I signed up for and I'm so glad I did! It's just a lovely lipstick, although I still think that the shade is a bit too light for me but I'm definitely going to try making this work for me!

The next both items are for one the Therma Care Hot Patch for Cramps when on your period... Which is just the most amazing thing ever when you suffer with severe cramps during your period! The second product is African Black Soap, which is said to cleanse, hydrate and calm problem skin. Very excited to try this!

I've always wanted to try a lash serum and luckily, there's the Nuvega Lash Serum in my Glossybox this month and I'm soo happy about it!

And last but not least, there's the Lavera Illuminating Eye Cream, which I've already tried and I liked it a lot, so I'm happy to use it again as an addition to my daily skincare routine!

I'm more than happy with the contents of this lovely box and I will definitely keep you updated on the products and how I like them! :-)

Have you ever had one or more of the Glossyboxes? If so, how did you like them? x

Beauty Blogger Café 2016

Last Saturday, I finally attended my first ever blogger event! Styleranking organises the Beauty Blogger Café every year in October where they connect bloggers and brands in the greatest way possible!
Personally, this was the best event I've ever been to and I seriously can't wait for the next one!

But let's start with the morning of the day... My boyfriend and I stayed with my grandma and had a lovely breakfast before we went off to the event, which took place at the Gebrüder Fritz in Berlin. We went to Berlin the week before so it was a great end to an amazing week!

When we arrived at around 11:45, there was already a long queue in front of the door; and they were all girls waiting for the event to finally begin. My boyfriend was feeling very uncomfortable at first but he eventually started having fun among all of us beauty bloggers, ha! :P

We all got a name tag with our name and the name of our blog before we were let go into the most beautiful location for a blogger event ever!! Just google "Gebrüder Fritz Berlin" and the images you'll see will make you fall in love with that location!
Anyway, my boyfriend and I had a little look around all the brands (and the food that was being served - delicious!!) that were there on this special day and saw that PinkBox, Swiss Smile, Schaebens, Weleda, Sally Hansen, Braun and Nick Assfalg from HSE24 were the chosen ones for this years event.

From 12:00 to 18:00 we were able to get in touch with all those brands and exchange contact details, get our nails done with Sally Hansen or have our hair styled by the lovely stylists from Braun.

At the end of the day, everyone had been given lovely goodies from all the brands and we also got a huge goodie bag as well! I was stunned when I had a first peek into the bag... Seriously, all the people were so kind and lovely and they put so much effort into this event. It was definitely the best experience everrrr!!

I will definitely make sure to give you a little update on those goodies and I will also host a giveaway because it's just soo much to keep all for myself so I'm going to share some of them with you! :) x

Thanks to Styleranking for making this day such a great experience and until next year!

Christmas Wishlist

Because I've already been feeling so festive lately, I thought I could just post my wishlist for Christmas today! :)
On my list this year, most items are from Zoella's Christmas range because they're just perfect gifts for Christmas and they're not really expensive either! I will probably buy most of these things myself anyway so... :P

As for the Zoella Christmas products, I would love to get the We 3 Beauties Cosmetic Bag Trio because they're just too pretty not to have, duh, the Spa In A Jar, the Secret Scenta Mini Mist Set, the Gingerbread & Bake My Day Gift Set and the Hungry Hands cream. I can perfectly imagine all these products to quickly become my favourites!
As for the Zoella Lifestyle products, The Key to Inspiration and Travel Mug & Gloves Set - Warm Hands, Warm Heart are definitely two of my faves from her new range, because they include marble and rosegold!
Of course, her new book Girl Online Going Solo is also on my list because I'm a little 18-year old fangirl who just wants to buy lots of stuff from her idol... lol

Believe it or not, there are also other things on my wishlist for Christmas, such as the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and the Foundation. I've been wanting to try this duo for such a long time and Christmas would be the perfect occasion to treat myself to these lovely bits!

The NYX Micro Brow Pencil has really caught my eye recently but it's always sold out when I decide to buy it so I hope to find it on the internet somewhere around Christmas, ha!

On ASOS, I found the rosegold Get Organised Set and it definitely caught my eye the second I saw it. Ever since then I really want it; it would be great for blog photos!!

And last but not least, there is the Instax Mini 8 in lightblue on my wishlist. I think it's been two years or something since I added this gem of a camera to my Amazon wishlist and I think this year is going to be the year where I'm going to treat myself to this lovely polaroid camera!

Have you thought about the things you would like to get for Christmas yet? :)

And also, when is it actually accetable to listen to Christmas music? I would love to finally play my Spotify Christmas playlists but I think it's not the right time to do that yet, is it? haha x

Tips On PR & Working With Brands

"There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure."
- Colin Powell
When I first started blogging I thought it was easy for bloggers to drop an email to a company and they'd just send you products to review right away. But oh dear, was I wrong!
Of course it's not that easy, it's a whole lot of work before you can actually allow yourself to write a proper email to a brand you'd like to work with.
Down below, I've created one of my beloved lists once again, to talk you through some tips you should consider when wanting to work with a brand.

Think of it as a business matter. Your blog is your own brand and you should be serious about how you present it to others. Brands will want to make sure that you're a person they can rely on and that you're really going to test and review their products.

Get yourself a media kit. I've only just recently created a media kit for my blog and I'm kind of proud for doing so because it turned out pretty good. It's also given me the opportunity to work with a few brands already because it boosted my chances of getting my blog out there without it looking unprofessional.

Be honest. Brands know that when you're a blogger you will want to get products for free to review them. So if you've tested a product but you don't like it or, let's say your skin didn't like that new face cream, note that in your review. It's important for brands to get an honest feedback to their products.

You don't always have to say yes. If the offers of a collaboration with a brand land in your inbox without you having sent them an email, but you don't really know how to fit the product into your blog, don't feel pressured to say yes to them just because they asked you for a collaboration. There are lots of other bloggers out there they can reach out to so don't feel bad if you say no to them.

Prepare an email before you actually send it. I've created a Word document with a general email that I can use to contact brands without having to change any names, just the email address. It's a lot less work because you don't have to think of the right words every time you want to reach out to another brand.

These are my most essential tips to consider when wanting to work with a brand! :) I hope you can use any of them and good luck with reaching out to brands you want to work with! x

10 Things I Can't Live Without

Again, my normal posting schedule has been interrupted due to not really being in the mood for blogging lately... However, this time with my writer's block and the ideas not wanting to just come to my head, I googled some ideas and actually found the one or other that fit my blog really well.

With a three hours delay, I'm talking you through the ten things that I can't live without today! As this is once again one of my beloved lists that I like to create and blog about, I of course have to mention that this has no particular order and that everything is just something very important to me.

  • Family and pets - I'm so glad to have such an amazing family and such cute pets that are always there for me whenever I need them most!
  • My boyfriend ♥ - yeah well, my best friend, my love, my better half; he's just everything I could ever ask for!
  • Friends - well, friends are always there when you need them and my friends are definitely the best in the whole entire world!
  • My blog - it's been my greatest hobby ever since I started it and I'm so glad I decided to do so!
  • Beauty and makeup - duh, I can't even go shopping without at least two or three makeup items in my bag when I go home again, ha! #makeupaddict all the way!
  • Writing and photography - I never thought both of these skills would come in handy for anything that's going to become my hobby and they're actually my most favourite thing to do!
  • Food - pretty self-explaining, isn't it?
  • Berlin - my hometown is the prettiest, coolest and just the best; I just feel like I'm home whenever I'm there, which is normal, I guess, and next year I'm finally back and ready for a fresh start!
  • Internet - this includes my blog as well, but without the internet my blog wouldn't existing and I would have never met all the other lovely bloggers out there!
  • The motivation to just keep doing what I want - this is something blogging has taught me and I'm so glad that it's also connected to loads of positivity and a completely different view on life!

So these are basically ten of the things that my life would be quite boring and useless without!
What would your list look like? x

October Goals

With a new month, there are also new goals I want to achieve, personal ones as well as the goals for my blog, for school, etc.

This month, there are only two weeks of school, though, because we have two weeks off. YAY!! One of those weeks, I'll be spending in Berlin with the love of my life, and I'm sorry for exaggerating baby, but it's just the way it is... haha ♥
The month of October has got to be my favourite of the whole year so I'm really excited that it's finally time to write down my goals for this month!

  • Get one of the seasonal drinks at Starbucks
  • Take lots of autumnal photos
  • Give my blog another huge makeover - Been planning this for months!
  • Go shopping for some autumnal capsule wardrobe bits - my first time doing this; exciting!
  • Have a great time at my first Blogger Event
  • And meet lots of new people :)
  • Plan the last two months of the year - might actually be doing Blogmas this year?!
  • Start saving money for Berlin - because this month I'll be receiving my first wage from my new job!
  • Get some actual blog post planning done... This can be really tricky sometimes!
  • Decorate the house for Halloween, as I do every year
  • Spend some quality time with my family; Autumn seems to be even more perfect for that!

What are your goals for this month?

Travel Diary - Inverness & Edinburgh

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."

Travelling has been my favourite thing to do ever since I went to Rome in 2012, which was also the first time I left Germany for a little longer and without my family.
Last month, our school class went on our final class trip before our A-level exams and I was quite excited about the fact that I would get the chance to travel to Scotland!

Above you can see a little set of photos that I really liked when going through my camera storage because, let me tell you, there are loads of photos from Scotland because firstly, the country is beautiful, and secondly, I just love taking photos because they caputre moments and memories to remember.

Anyways, we went to Inverness first and stayed in the YHA Hostel for two nights and then went on with the bus to Edinburgh, where we stayed in the Tune Hotel - Haymarket, which was by far the best hotel - for younger people - I've ever stayed in! I even had the chance to watch some British TV in the evening and that basically made my whole week!
Edinburgh just excited me so much that I really think about going back anytime soon, and for a little longer as well! It's just a beautiful and intersting city that you just have to come back for more!

Overall, it was a great experience although our bus broke down on the way back home... haha We had lots of fun and experienced a completely new part of another country which I'm very thankful for because otherwise, I think I would have never had the chance to actually travel to Scotland.
Plus, Superdrug and Boots have become my favourite places to shop for beauty and makeup bits!!

Have you ever been to Scotland before? Let me know what to do in Edinburgh so I can look forward to visiting the next time!
