December Goals

Photo from
So it's the last day of November and tomorrow is the beginning of the last month of 2016. I can't believe this year is almost over! But this also means that it's Christmas very soon and I couldn't be more excited! The tree in my room and all the decoration is already up and on every single day and I feel so very festive! The time before Christmas is my most favourite time of the whole year!

But now on to the list of goals that I've set for myself for the month of December...

  • Publish a new post every day because I'm doing Blogmas this year! So excited!!
  • Finally find the prefect presents for my family and friends...
  • Get started with my daily at-home workout programme - Because there's no better time to start with exercising than right before the Holidays!
  • Watch the 24 Days of Zoella and Zoe's Vlogmas, duh!
  • Start studying for my A-Level exams... You can never start early enough when it comes to studying, can you?
  • Spend some quality time with my friends and family on Christmas and New Year's Eve ♥
  • Have a great start to the new year!
I'm quite determined and happy with my goals for December and really hope to achieve all of them this time! :)

What are your goals for December? x

Skincare Favourites

In collaboration with Caudalie!
When you are as makeup obsessed as I am, you know that your skin will thank you a billion times if you've got the right skincare products at home as well. I've been trying to figure out the perfect skincare routine for a few months now and I think I finally found the products that my skin loves! And I'm not only saying that because this is a collaboration; I just truly love these products! :)
But before I'm going to talk about my experience, I'm going to describe the products a little more in detail!

Starting off with the Caudalie masks and scrubs, there are the...

  • Moisturising Mask
  • Glycolic Peel Mask
  • Instant Detox Mask
  • Purifying Mask
  • Gentle Buffing Cream
  • Deep Cleansing Exfoliator

I wasn't so keen about the fact that I had four face masks and two scrubs now that basically demanded to be used and I thought 'Well, I won't use all of them anyway...'
But I was so wrong!!
I don't know how else you're supposed to use these - duh - but I apply one of the face masks twice a week and use one of the scrubs every other night before applying my moisturiser.
Depending on what my skin feels and looks like, I choose the mask and scrub. I don't think there's any 'plan' that you've got to follow when applying these? Especially because the packaging's got these shades that make you think about the products like 'Use this first, and then this and then this...' I hope you know what I'm trying to say haha :P But once you get into a routine and can tell what your skin needs that day, it's the best thing ever and I'm always excited for my face mask!

The effect these masks and scrubs had on my skin so far is insane! I have tried a ridiculous amount of different skincare products - especially masks, scrubs, cleansers, etc. - and they just weren't right for me. But with this, it's like I'm in skincare-heaven!

Next up, there's the Caudalie Vinosource range and it includes the...

  • Moisturising Sorbet
  • Moisturising Mattifying Fluid
  • Moisture Recovery Cream
  • Intense Moisture Rescue Cream
  • Grape Water (Limited Edition)

With this range it was basically the same as with the masks and scrubs; I've never owned this many moisturisers and face creams before! And again, I thought I would never use all of them, but, you guessed it, I do actually use all of them.
In the morning, before applying my makeup, I use the Moisturising Mattifying Fluid as it creates a beautiful base to put foundation and concealer on!
In the evening, I use the Moisturising Sorbet after taking off my makeup and I'm good to go (to bed)!
For the other two face creams, I use both of them once or twice a week, especially because it's getting a lot colder lately, and my skin definitely needs the intense moisture rescue and recovery!
The Grape Water is just perfect for spritzing on before your makeup, at least that's what I'm doing... After my moisturiser, before my makeup and it will last you all day without leaving you with a feeling of dry skin whatsoever.

These face creams have also completely changed the way I look at my skincare routine! So so happy I got the opportunity to work with Caudalie; such an amazing brand! They even sent me a little makeup bag, such a cute little extra!!

Have you ever tried anything from Caudalie? Let me know in the comments down below! x

Lilies Beauty Turns Two!

"The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot."
- Michael Althsuler

It's already been two years since I decided to create a blog. TWO YEARS! Where has the time gone? Starting a blog has definitely been the best decision I have ever made so far! But it's not always been that easy...

Two years ago, I created a blog, put it on private and kept it as my diary in order to write down any important things that happened, things about people, school, my feelings, anything basically.
It was meant to be inspired by Jenna from Awkward. because I freaking loved that show at that moment! So I did exactly that and the blog was born; not the one that you're able to read today but the foundation that made it all start was set.

I did read lots of beauty blogs at that time as well and watched any beauty YouTuber that was well-known and popular, such as Zoella. Some of you may already know that she's the actual reason why I started doing what I'm doing today. She inspired me to think about doing whatever I wanted and just do it.
I think I told myself to just start blogging when the new year starts, so the actual "birthday" of my blog should be the 1st of January every year... But I just feel like it's not the "birthday" of it because you started publishing things, but the day to celebrate when you decided to just go for it and click that "create" button.

It still seems so unreal to me that the blog I created out of nowhere became my everything and the thing I'm most proud of. I've learnt so many things as well just because I took the chance and joined this amazing blogging community!
Lilies Beauty is still one of the "smaller" blogs out there and at first I thought it was all about followers, stats, readers and all those figures and numbers. But it's really not. I will continue to run this as my own little business and I'm already excited for everything that's yet to come! It's slowly but surely growing...

And I also want to thank everyone who's been on this journey for me over the past two years. Thank you for supporting me, for being there for me and for supporting the thing I love the most. You really are a huge part of this and without any of you this blog wouldn't be where it is now! ♥

I'm now going to go back to Pinterest and have a look at cake recipes because I actually want to make a cake just to make sure this day is celebrated the way it's supposed to be! :)

Have a fantastic day and until next time! x

How To Get Voluminous Hair

While writing this I actually listened to the Hip Hop Mixtape playlist on Spotify and I'm a little shocked about my newly found taste in music lately. That's just my kind of music recently if I'm honest haha :P
For today's post, however, I'm going to talk to you about an important question when it comes to hair and how to make it more voluminous!

Since I've been to the hairdresser a few weeks ago to dye my hair blond (not completely, but it's kind of a balayage style now) I really want to take a lot more care of it. And why not do that combined with heading for the extra bit of volume as well?
The products I'm going to mention are in the order I normally use them to create a head full of volume.

John Frieda | Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment
I've been using this since the Beauty Blogger Café last month because we were able to get our hands on this product while being there and I'm so glad I did! I use this every other time I wash my hair because, let's be real, the 7 Day Volume this promises is surely not going to last seven days! But it does give my hair a nice amount of volume and texture every time I use it. My shampoo is the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Shampoo, by the way, and it's an amaaazing combination, I love it!

Guhl | Blow-Dry Lotion
This gem of a hair product is said to protect your hair from the heat when blow drying it and making it easier for you to actually style your hair if you want to. I only use it for protection, but the good thing about this is that it doesn't make my hair feel heavy at all!

Irresistible Me | Jade Hair Straightening Brush
After I let my hair air dry or after I've blow dried it, I use the Irresistible Me Jade Hair Straightening Brush* to give it a nice, soft and voluminous finish! I showed you in the last post about this ceramic brush that it's so easy to use and it works wonders on your hair, so I thought it would only be right to include it in here as well! It does not only straighten my hair but also gives more texture and volume to it. Such a must-have for me ever since I got it!

Pantene Pro-V | Volume Creation Hairspray
And last but not least, to fix all the work from before, I use a hairspray, preferably one to give extra volume. I've tried multiple hairsprays that promised instant volume whatsoever but didn't satisfy me in any way but now I finally found one that's just perfect! It's the Volume Hairspray from Pantene Pro-V and thanks to the lovely stylists from Braun who styled my hair and used this afterwards because otherwise I probably would've never got the chance to discover this!

How do you try to achieve a full head of volume?
Let me know in the comments down below! x

Charlotte Tilbury Wishlist

Lately, I've really been into a little more high end beauty products and for me, Charlotte Tilbury somehow is the perfect brand to start off with. In my opinion, their value for price is amazing and I would love to make some cheeky little purchases on their website very soon! :P

Ever since I started blogging and discovered the never ending world of beauty brands and products - including Charlotte Tilbury - I was lusting over almost every product that was or still is available on their website! Down below, there's again one of my beloved lists with the seven items that I'm dying to get my hands on!

3rd Edition Makeup Bag - €42.00
I was introduced to CT for the first time when I watched a video from some beauty Blogger/YouTuber showing her everyday makeup essentials - and that was the moment when I fell in love with this makeup bag! I just can't get over how pretty this is, and yes, it's only a bag for your makeup... But come on, it's too pretty not to have!

Filmstar Bronze & Glow - €65.00
Speaking of all things pretty, this highlighting and contour duo is a beauty Bloggers' dream come true, isn't it? I mean, just the packaging alone is gorgeous and reviews say that it's a great product as well! And why not give a great product a try, eh? Definitely going to pick this up; when I'm actually able to afford a few pricier makeup bits...

Luscious Lip Slick in Very Victoria - €48.00
Before I discovered this lovely shade I was obsessing over the Bitch Perfect lipstick. However, I personally think I'm more of a girl for browny-nudes rather than those pinky-nudes, you know? And this shade is the perfect one for what I've been looking for the past few months!

Magic Foundation - €40.00
Again, this seems to be an all time Bloggers' favourite. Being the obsessed beauty hoarder/Blogger I am, I of course want to try this myself! I really hope to have the chance to try this next year or so... You know the drill, with the money, etc. hahah

Wonderglow - €49.00
For a CT Foundation there must also be a great primer so it's almost obvious that I added this to my wishlist as well, isn't it? It's quite a pricey primer, though, I'm sure it's worth every penny!

Luxury Palette in The Uptown Girl - €50.00
Last but definitely not least on my CT wishlist, there's this eyeshadow quad with the most gorgeous shades ever! It's such an amazing little palette and I think it would be great for an everyday use!

This is everything on my wishlist from Charlotte Tilbury at the moment! :)
Are there any products you would like to try? x

3 Concealers Worth The Try

The second ever makeup item I owned was a concealer. Since then I've been through various different concealers, from different shades to brands to coverage.

Up until now, I've come up with three of my most favourite concealers ever - and two of them, I've only tried for the first time a few months ago!

Down below, I've put together a few information about those three favourites of mine and maybe I can make you find a new favourite yourself! :)

Collection | Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer
With this one, I must admit that I only purchased it because lots of different YouTubers and Bloggers were talking about this nonstop, especially Zoe (Zoella) talked about this many times in her videos, so I thought it would only be fair to give this concealer a try. In all the descriptions and reviews I read before actually buying it, the coverage, applicator and shades available were perfect and I can safely say that this was one of the best purchases I've made so far, regarding my concealers! :P

Bourjois | Radiance Reveal Concealer
Again, I discovered this concealer through lots of videos and blog posts and actually did the exact same research as with the Collection one. This concealer, however, is not that great for coverage, in my opinion, but for brightness and making your eyes look fully awake it's great!

Catrice Cosmetics | Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer
Ever since I started wearing makeup - including concealer - I always go back to this one! It's been my Holy Grail for years and I will be more than devastated if they discontinue this concealer! :( Coverage-wise this is amazing and it lasts all day long! Especially for red spots or anything that needs to be covered, this concealer is always my go-to!

Have you tried any of these concealers? x

Nick Assfalg Cosmetics

Swatches left to right: Highlighter Shade, Contour Shade | Lipsticks: Me, Amadeus and Rock | Eyebrow Master: Dark Blonde (and it actually matches my hair colour!)
Even my cat approves!!
This post will again include some of the many lovely bits that I have received at the Beauty Blogger Café a few weeks ago, just so you know! haha :)
The products I'm going to review are from the amazing Nick Assfalg, which we also had the chance to meet at the event and he's definitely the loveliest and most amazing makeup artist I've ever met! I'm still amazed by how sweet and genuine he was! Such a lovely experience!
Anyway, on to the makeup bits now, shall we? Also, when I first tried these products I was more than satisfied with them right from the start! I'm so glad that I got the chance to try these!

Contour System - 34.99€
I'm definitely not a pro when it comes to contouring and I always try my very best when it comes to that part of my daily makeup routine, but with these two contour sticks, that part just got easier by 100% and I'm not exaggerating! The shades also suit my skin tone perfectly and they're very easy to blend, so you can tell that I of course made these an essential of my makeup bag!

Eyebrow Master - 24.99€
As well as the Contour System, this new addition to my makeup collection has also fast become an essential of my daily makeup routine. At first, I was very sceptical about the shade because I thought it would be way too light for my hair colour but it's a great shade and because it's a pencil, it's very easy to apply; it also has a little spoolie at the other end to comb through your eyebrows! The only thing I would criticise is that the pencil is really hard when you first use it; it does take a few extra strokes before there's any colour payoff but after a few times of using it, it's going to become your new favourite!

Transparent Powder - 44.99€
I hadn't used a face powder in a while until this gem of a beauty product found its way into my makeup collection! With about 45€ you're going to expect a perfect product, which you will definitely get with this one! It sets my makeup perfectly and doesn't "fade" throughout the first few hours after applying it, so it lasts a lot longer than any other powder I've tried so far, and it also doesn't make my makeup look cakey. That was the actual reason why I stopped using face powders in the first place but now I'm glad I found one that doesn't disappoint me!

3x Your Lipstick - 29.99€
Ahh lipsticks... Still my favourite part of my makeup routine! :) This trio of some lovely shades has got to be my favourite out of all these products. They are said to be colour tone matching which did sound weird and quite unbelievable to me at first but when I applied each to my lips for the first time, I was almost shocked that they actually "lost" a bit of their vibrancy! Especially the red was the shade I was scared of the most because it looked so bright and vibrant when the model at the event put it on, but when I put it on, it was just my perfect shade of red! Still can't believe a lipstick can do that!!

And yes, even my cat approves of the Nick Assfalg beauty products! She just photobombed my little photo session and I thought it was funny to include this in there haha So ya'll got a little behind the scenes as well, eh? :D

I'd definitely recommend these products to everyone looking for some high-end beauty bits! :) x

ByTerry Rouge-Expert Click Stick

I'm normally a little less talkative about PR samples and things that kindly have been sent to me, but when this arrived a few weeks ago, I was more than happy!! It's my first ever ByTerry product and I'm very very thankful for it! :)

It's the Rouge-Expert Click Stick in the shade 24 Orchid Alert*, and it's a gorgeous purple shade with a hint of a berry undertone to it. I'm literally the worst at describing shades and colour so bare with me and just have a look yourself in the photos above... haha :P

The consistency of this is the smoothest in a lipstick I've ever tried! It's so easy and quick to apply that even I, as still a newbie when it comes to lipstick application, am able to apply this without smudging! And that means something!

Overall, I'm more than satisfied with this lovely product; it has become my go to shade ever since I got it and started using it! Really really recommend this! :)

Have you tried any of the Rouge-Expert Click Sticks? x

October Favourites

It's that time again... It's favourites time!! I haven't really had many favourites during the month of October but the few bits that I have come to love are just great!

So first up, I have started to love face masks. I don't really have a favourite mask or brand, I just love all masks that I have got at home right now. Due to the Beauty Blogger Café, I have quite a selection of Schaebens masks and I can't wait to try all of them!

Next, there's my good old Cash Eau de Parfum which I have rediscovered last month and I think it's just a more suitable and almost perfect fragrance for autumn!

My first NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in the shade Baby Doll is definitely one of the best makeup purchases I've ever made! At first I thought the shade would be way too light for my skin tone but it's perfect! I like it a lot and I can't wait to buy a couple more of these...

Nail polish wise I have fallen in love with Sally Hansen's polishes! The colours are lovely, they last very long and they're just overall amazing! It's the first time I've ever fallen completely in love with nail polishes!

Because I desperately needed a new beauty blender, I had a look through the shelves in DM and found the new Ebelin Beauty Sponge! Some reviews on the internet were negative and lots of people were quite unsatisfied with this sponge but I just love it! It's really soft and perfect to blending my under-eye concealer and everything else!

And last but not least, I have come to really like the Bioderma Sébium and Sensibio samples* that I have kindly received a few weeks ago! You all may or may not know, that my nose always reminds everyone of Rudolph the reindeer because it's just bright red but due to these amazing face creams, the redness and the few dry patches on my face have been soothed. I was so surprised by the effect because there were soo many creams, serums, etc. that I had already tried but none of them really helped. Of course I'm more than happy with the effect and I'm definitely going to purchase a few full sized products!

What have you been loving during the month of October? x
