Beauty Blogger Café Berlin 2017

Last week, my friend Vanessa from Nessi Cannelle and my cousin Yasmin from Angels Beauty Corner went to the annual Beauty Blogger Café in Berlin! I went there last year already but for them, it was the very first time, which made everything even more exciting!

The brands this time were p2 Cosmetics, Cattier Paris, Medisana, Swiss Smile, Chris Farrell, Joico, Softwings, Special T and Dyson - we somehow got in touch with every brand and even got their PR contact addresses!

Even a few "famous" German YouTubers were there; well, at least I knew them because I watch them regularly, but that was just so exciting seeing them there!

Again, there were so many lovely girls that I would have loved to talk to but I was too shy... *sigh* It's always the same with me! But this time I was super happy with my outfit, which you can see in the last photo! I love how autumnal and somehow classy it looks and I felt extremely comfortable wearing it as well!

Tomorrow, there's going to be a little "haul" where I'll be showing you all the goodies we got on that special day, so make sure to stick around for a while!

Autumn Makeup Menu

Autumn - my favourite time of the year - is in full swing at the moment, which makes me extremely happy! Not only my skincare routine changes with the new season, but also my makeup routine. Today, I want to share my current top picks when it comes to creating an autumnal makeup look!

Base
For the base of my makeup, I like to use the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer in combination with the L'Oreal True Match Foundation in the shade 1.W. This duo does not only look good all day long, it also somehow protects my skin from the colder temperatures.
Afterwards, I always apply my absolute favourite bronzer, which is the Artdeco Bronzing Magnum Powder! There's a post from not long ago where I'm talking about this gem of a bronzer a little more detailed!

Eyes
My eye makeup basically consists of the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette and the Manhattan Eyemazing Double Effect Eyeshadow & Liner in 'Molten Metal'. These two products are just perfect for autumn and they let you create so many different makeup looks, it's incredible!
The mascara I'm currently using is the HypoAllergenic Long & Volume Mascara*, which really lengthens and separates the lashes!

After having applied all powder products I, of course, use my beloved MAC Fix+ to set everything and it's also an important step in my routine as it gives my skin that extra bit of hydration!

Lips
The go-to lipstick for me at the moment is one from SLA Paris and it's the Pro Lipstick in the shade 'Red Passion'*. It's a gorgeous dark red shade that's just so autumnal and it would be perfect for winter/Christmas as well!

Nails
I'm not a nail polish girl but sometimes I do like to do my nails and at the moment I love two nail polishes! The first one is from Trend It Up and it's the Terra Attitude Nail Polish in 040 and the other one is the HypoAllergenic Long Lasting Nail Enamel* in the shade 10. The second one is not really an autumnal colour but I really love the shade and the nail polish in general. The one from Trend It Up is a lot more autumnal and that's just my favourite! It lasts very well too and I've been wearing this almost every single day so far!

And that's it - my quite autumnal makeup menu for this year! I do like to stick to this little routine in the morning or whenever I'm getting ready as this is a very simple yet effective look and I can almost always be sure this looks good!

What's your favourite season? x

Fitness Clothing Haul + Try On With Gymshark

Gymshark is a fitness brand that I had kept an eye for a long time because their sportswear is just one of the best and especially their leggings are right up my street!

A few weeks ago, I got in touch with their PR contact and they very kindly sent me a package with loads of their clothing bits! I still can't believe they actually sent me this extremely generous and absolutely incredible package!
I was speechless when I saw the items and that rarely happens!

The first items I want to talk about are four of their leggings, which are the most comfortable and most flattering leggings I have ever worn! I usually wear them in the gym but I also like to wear them around the house or in school because they not only look great but they're just so comfortable!

They also sent me two of their t-shirts, which, again, are incredibly comfortable and I love to wear them outside the gym as well!
  • Women's Apollo Shirt Black - Grey Marl
I think the brand itself is quite cool and they have some amazing pieces on their website! I still can't believe they sent me so much amazing stuff and I'm so thankful, I can't even put it into words! But I do hope you liked this post - maybe there's something you like as well!

Have you tried any clothing bits from Gymshark before? x

3 Primers Worth The Try

Things are a bit different for me at the moment and blogging is the only thing that keeps me sane, to be honest. I'm all over the place with my thoughts and feelings, it's ridiculous! I hope that doesn't last too long...

Anyway, for today's post, I want to talk to you guys about my three most used and most favourite primers! Again, it's in the scheme of "3 ... Worth The Try" because I really like writing these posts and they're a great way to review three products in only one post! The more the better, eh?

But without further ado, let's just start with the products!

Prime and Fine Smoothing Refiner | Catrice Cosmetics
You guys know I love me some bits from Catrice Cosmetics and their primer is just one of my favourites from the highstreet. It has an incredibly light texture and feels very silky on the skin; it almost instantly blurs the skin, any fine lines and the pores on my face!
That's just everything a primer needs, in my opinion, and all three primers mentioned actually fulfil these criteria!

Photo Finish Foundation Primer | Smashbox
Probably one of the more popular and more expensive primers in this little product trio but it's just so worth the money and the hype! It does amazing things to my complexion and just like the one from Catrice Cosmetics, it blurs and refines my skin almost perfectly! It also increases the longevity of my makeup and it looks great all day long, which is just the best thing to say about a primer!

Get Picture Ready! Pore Refining Mattifying Primer | Essence
Last but not least I want to mention the - for me - best primer ever! I randomly picked this up a while ago because I had heard some good things about this and just wanted to give it a try myself.
And omg, I'm so glad I picked it up! It not only refines, blurs and makes your skin look flawless, it also moisturises the skin throughout the day! My makeup doesn't even budge the slightest when I have this applied underneath and that's the most impressive thing about it!

That was it already! My top three primers that I highly recommend and I would love to know if you have tried any of these yet and if you like them as well!

What's your favourite primer? x

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

The Caudalie Beauty Elixir had been on my wishlist for ages and a few months ago I finally treated myself to the 30 ml version of it. I ordered it on Feelunique and was so excited when I first got the chance to try it!

Before you use the spray, you have to shake it very well though. The mist isn't the finest either, which makes it quite hard to find the right distance to spray it onto your face.
Apart from the mist, this product is just incredible!

It not only makes you feel better due to its hydrating and refreshing benefits it also makes you look so much more refreshed and awake! You can easily pop this into your handbag as well for quickly using this on the go.

Because this is a toner and a serum all in one it's even more interesting to try, in my opinion. It can be used as a toner, a serum, a quick spritz on the go or even as a setting spray! No matter for which purpose you use this, it's definitely a little treat for your skin!

Overall I'd say that this is by far my most used and most favourite skincare product at the moment because it's an allrounder in my collection! It's perfect for every skin type and have I mentioned the lovely scent yet?!

Beauty Tools I Use Everyday

It's finally Friday - whoop!

I recently got the chance to work with some amazing beauty brands and I thought I should combine some of those in this one post today!
Because I love makeup and beauty so much - duh - I'm using many tools every single day but these are my current "favourites".

It all starts in the morning with my favourite pair of tweezers - yes that's actually a thing for me, ha! It's from Essence and it's great for getting all those tiny, annoying hairs!
To keep my hair out of my face I like to use the Dr Rimpler headband we got at the Beauty Event in Hanover in August. I had been wanting a headband like this for ages and now that I've got one I can't imagine my daily makeup and skincare routine without it anymore!

After my face is prepped and primed for makeup, I like to use the Basic Beauty Tools Foundation Blenders* to apply my foundation and concealer! Their beauty sponges are great; they're not too hard but not too soft either and I don't have to bathe them to get the results I want to have, which is always a plus when it comes to makeup sponges, in my opinion!
While applying my makeup, I also like to use My Beauty Light*, which always reminds me of a lightsaber from Star Wars! It's incredible though! I put it up on my large mirror, right at the top and I dimmed it to about half of the brightness it can get to - I was almost blinded by how bright this is when I first turned it on!
It gives just the perfect shade of light when doing your makeup and, no kidding, applying makeup is so much easier because you can actually see which parts you missed to blend or where there's still a bit of concealer missing!

Last but not least I want to mention my Magnitone, which I rediscovered a few months ago. I just love this so much and it has definitely become a must in my skincare routine, especially now that it's a bit colder outside!

Also, have you seen the Spongedry* from Basic Beauty Tools yet? Like, how cool is this little thing to hold your makeup sponge?! It's so much more hygienic than putting your sponge down on your table or wherever! Definitely my favourite thing from this brand!

If you want to know a bit more about some of the products that I mentioned don't hesitate to drop me a message!

What are some of the beauty tools you use every day? x

Autumn Decor Inspiration

Many people have already told me that I'm a bit late when it comes to autumn decoration and buying some new bits and bobs but that's just because most German stores already have the Christmas decorations out... Quite annoying if I'm honest.

I don't have as much decor up in my flat as I would like to but I hope there will be more for winter and Christmas!
The things I currently have in my flat are basically all in the images above - and as you can see, it's really not much! haha

My favourite little place though is my shelf with the cute squirrel and my Gryffindor card! I just think it looks so cool and autumnal - love it!
I also absolutely love my fairy lights with all the leaves wrapped around it that's on the side of my bed. It looks really autumnal and would make an amazing background for videos... *hint hint*

If you have any more ideas on how to make your flat look more autumnal without having to buy loads of new stuff please let me know in the comments! I love everything I got but it's just not enough for me, you know? I need moreee!

Do you decorate your flat/room for the different seasons? If so, where do you get your decorations from? x

Mini Beauty Haul

And yet another week has begun... I really can't wait for the Holidays!

With today's post, I have yet another little beauty and makeup haul for you guys! I went shopping with my cousin Yasmin last Saturday and got a few new bits and bobs that I'm really excited about!

The two things I want to mention first are the Nivea Micellar Cleansing Wipes, which I bought because I ran out of my Neutrogena ones, which they sadly don't sell in DM so I went for these - so far I really like them! And the next thing is just this acrylic lipstick holder for six lipstick in total that I bought in DM as well.

Now on to the makeup products! We went to the NYX Store in Berlin and I finally found the Highlight & Contour Pro Singles! I've been dying to try the Highlight & Contour Palette from NYX but I assumed that I wouldn't even use most of the shades so I waited for the singles to come out and now I finally have my shade, which is 'Sienna'!
The other product I got from NYX is the Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Rome'. I've been on the hunt for a lip shade like this for ages and now I finally found the perfect one!

After the NYX Store, we went back to DM again and treated ourselves to a few more new bits of makeup! I then got the new L'Oreal Perfect Match Concealer in the shade 1.N 'Ivory' and also the new Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara. I'm really excited to try both of these and I can't wait to give you guys a little review on them!
Last but by no means least I got myself a new makeup, which is the Alverde Professional Serum Foundation in the shade 01 'Porcelain'. I swatched this in DM and I was so surprised by the shade, which is perfect for me, and the texture of the foundation! I will definitely review this on the blog very soon as well!

That was everything that I got in this little beauty and makeup haul! Maybe there's the one or other product you would like to try as well!

Have you bought any new makeup bits recently? x

Zoella Beauty Jelly & Gelato

🍁Happy Sunday!🍁

With these products, I think I'm a little late to the party because many people have been reviewing and talking about them for months already!
Of course, I'm talking about the Jelly & Gelato range from Zoella Beauty! I was so excited to get my hands on a few new products of hers and when I saw them in Rossmann I was beyond happy!

I picked up three of her products; the Body Pudding, the Shower Shake and the Cream Scrub! Zoe herself and many other people claimed that this is their favourite scent, however, I'm not the biggest fan, to be honest. I was not blown away by it but I don't hate it either. It's okay but definitely not my favourite; I think my favourite is still the scent from the core collection - I just love that!

The products are amazing as always though! I can look past the scent, which I got used to by now, and enjoy the products! My favourite is the Body Pudding - it has the same little pink beads in it as the Candy Cream Body Lotion from the Tutti Fruity summer collection from 2015 and I loved that! It makes the skin so soft and smooth and I use this almost daily!

Both the Shower Shake and the Cream Scrub are great as well but I'm again not the biggest fan of the Cream Scrub. I love the Shower Shake though - it's a great shower gel and moisturises the skin while showering, which is just amazing!
Because of the creamy consistency of the scrub, I find it quite hard to really get it onto the skin, you know? When I used this for the first time I thought it would be like any other normal scrub but most of the product I tried to apply fell onto the floor of my shower and I was a bit gutted about that.

Overall I like this range but it's not my favourite of hers. I'm really looking forward to trying something from her Christmas range though! Maybe I'll even get my hands on the advent calendar...

3 Bronzers Worth The Try

Especially in autumn and winter I like my skin to look a bit more bronzed than during the warmer times of the year just because I feel like it looks better in general and because my skin looks even paler in autumn and winter!
However, while coming up with this post idea and taking the photos for it I realised that I don't even own that many bronzers but the ones that I have are amazing! I really like all of them but there are three bronzers that I would always recommend to anyone looking for a new bronzer!

Artdeco | Bronzing Magnum Powder*
This one I just got recently in one of my Blogger Club Boxes and I instantly fell in love with it! It is a huge bronzer with a mirror inside and it smells amazing as well! The product itself is incredibly buttery and blends beautifully on the skin! I like to apply this with a large fluffy powder brush and it gives a really nice warm and bronzed tone to the skin!

Makeup Revolution | Renaissance Glow
Next up there is a face duo from MUR and the product inside is not actually a bronzer but a contour powder. However, I like to use this as a bronzer as well! It's a bit ashier than the one from Artdeco but with my pale skin it almost looks like a bronzing powder!

Benefit | Hoola Lite
And last but not least I want to mention a staple item in my collection. When I first started blogging about makeup and beauty I wanted to get my hands on the original Hoola Bronzer but when I saw they had brought out a lite version I knew I had to get this one instead! You have to be quite careful though because you can easily overdo it with this product! It's more on the orange side of bronzers but I don't mind that at all - I just have to blend it very well!

These three are the only bronzers in my collection at the moment and I hope to get some more anytime soon! I've gotten into bronzing a lore more recently so I'm now on the hunt for a few more products to tr! Leave you recommendations down below if you have any!

What's your favourite bronzer? x

Quotes To Live By

Life is just so much better with WiFi, I tell you! Now I can finally write and publish all the posts that I had planned for so long!

For today's post though I just want to list down some motivational and inspirational quotes to live by! I just love some beautiful quotes and I want to share my favourites with you today!

"She believed she could so she did"

"Do more of what makes you happy"

"If you can dream it, you can do it"

"Just say yes"

"Be the best version of you"

"Kindness is free. Sprinkle that stuff everywhere"

"If we're growing, we're always going to be out of our comfort zone."

"We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy."

"A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms."

There are plenty more quotes that I really like but at the moment, these are the ones that describe me the best, in my opinion. I also really want to print some of them and hang them up on my wall just to have them around me everyday!

What's one of your favourite quotes? x

Blogger Club September Unboxing

Normally, I don't post an unboxing when I receive my monthly Blogger Club Box but this time I thought I should do one because I do mention most of the products in my posts but I never properly "introduce" them to you. And that's basically how I came up with today's post!

It's my September box and every month I can pick six new products from the cooperating brands that they have on the website. This month I picked some more autumnal products that I have wanted to try ever since I first saw them on the website!

Sometimes it's quite hard to get your hands on the one or other products because it's so popular amongst bloggers in the Blogger Club that you have to wait a couple weeks or even months to be able to make it part of your box!

This time though I got everything I wanted to try and present to you and I'm really happy with my little selection! But let's just go through all the products in detail now, shall we?

The first product or product set I want to mention is my second Sothy Box. It's the Autumn Edition and after I had tried the Summer Edition a few months ago, I was really excited to see that they have an autumn one as well! There are six different products in this box: Delicious Scrub Cinnamon and Ginger Escape, Velvet Effect Rouge Mat Lipstick in 310 'Rose Lepic', Wrinkle-Targeting Comfort Youth Cream, Gourmand Lip Balm, Eye and Lip Make-Up Removing Fluid and Brightening Mask Illuminating / Comfort Action.
Everything in this box is just right up my street and I can't wait to give all of the products a proper try!

Next up there is the Cosnature Pink Pomelo Face Mask, which looks amazing! I really hope the mask itself is pink as well!

The next product is something from El Kadife and it's the Silver Tonic Face & Body Spray. I have heard quite good things about silver tonics and creams and I just wanted to give that a try myself so I can't wait to try this and see what it is like!

Dermalogica is also part of the Blogger Club Box Team and so I decided to go for the Skin Smoothing Cream. It's a great brand and I'm really looking forward to trying this as well!

The last two items are lip products because I'm currently trying to find "the perfect shade" for me. I got a SLA Paris Lipstick in this gorgeous red-brown berry toned shade and a PUPA Milano I'm PUPA Matt Lip Fluid in the shade 012, which is a beautiful rose-nude - I can't wait to try both of those!

Like I already said, I'm extremely happy with my selection of products this month and I can't wait to tell you guys more about each product!

What do you like most from this month's box? x

Evening Skincare Routine

With the colder season in almost full swing I only recently tried to switch up my evening skincare routine a bit but somehow my skin doesn't seem to bother too much about the colder temperatures. At least my face doesn't seem to be affected by that, whereas my body - especially my hands, arms and legs - have gotten extremely dry!

So for my face routine, I normally start off with the Cosnature Lemon-Melissa Cleansing Foam and afterwards, I like to use the Pixi Glow Tonic to make sure my skin also looks a bit glowier in autumn and winter.

After it's all cleansed and toned I love to use my Skin Chemists Advanced Snail Duo Moisturiser. It smells incredible and is just perfect for my skin at the moment!

Then I normally use these golden under eye masks from Grace & Stella, which I absolutely adore! They're very moisturising and refreshing as well!

After my face is ready and well prepared for my night's sleep, I normally continue with my hands. Most of the time, I have had a shower before my skincare routine and that's when my hands are the worst! Sometimes it even hurts because they're so dry, but I'm already used to that by now as this is the case every year... At the moment I like to use the Balea Melon Berry Hand Lotion, which I got in the box from my Highstreet Challenge with my cousin Yasmin a while back! Love it - it smells wonderful and really nourishes and hydrates my hands! I always like to have this around because it's very fast absorbing too so you can quickly put on some of this without worrying that it might leave your hands too greasy!

For my arms and legs, I then use the Zoella Beauty Jelly & Gelato Body Pudding, which is definitely my favourite products from this range! There will be a whole post about the products I got from the Jelly & Gelato collection soon as well so for now, I'll just leave you here saying that this is an incredible body cream/pudding!

That's it already for my current evening skincare routine - I hope you enjoyed reading this post! I'm also trying somehow create more autumnal photos for my upcoming posts and I hope you like that as well!

Tea Favourites With Cupper Teas

A new month is here and I'm back again as well! I had to take a little unintentional break from blogging the past two weeks because there was and still is no wifi in my new flat and I'm currently sat in Starbucks... haha

Without rambling on any further I want to talk to you guys about my current tea favourites. As autumn is in full swing at the moment, I've cracked open almost every box of tea I own - and trust me, there are many boxes in my cupboard! I love to drink a different flavour every time I go for a cup of tea, just to mix things up a bit.

I have very kindly been sent some Cupper Teas and of course, I already had a few of their teas before but now that I drink a few cups of tea every day, this gift really comes in handy!

Zen Balance*, Sweet Dreams*, Be Happy* and My Time* are the four ones I received and I immediately found a new favourite!
At Starbucks, my favourite drink to go for is the Chai Tea Latte and My Time tastes almost exactly like that! I like to add some sugar and it's the perfect drink to have in the morning, at work, for dinner - for any time of the day basically!

However, for my going-to-bed-tea, I like to have a cup of Sweet Dreams. It's a lovely mixture of lavender, chamomile and lemon melissa, which really calms me down and also makes me quite sleepy and ready for bed!

One of the teas from Cupper I already owned before is the Green Tea Lemon & Ginger, which I discovered a while back and fell in love with right from the first cup! To me, tea is something very "important" as it gives me that special feeling of calmness and that's exactly what this tea tastes like.

This may sound extremely weird to some of you who just drink tea because it tastes nice but like I said, to me tea has become a big part of my daily diet. Even when I'm feeling a bit uneasy, nervous or anxious, I have a cup of tea and I almost instantly feel a little better.

Lastly, I really want to thank Cupper for sending me a few of their teas! Thanks guys! I'm now better prepared for autumn and winter than ever!

Nivea Shower Silk Mousse Rhubarb Raspberry

I woke up this morning remembering that it's finally the day! Today I'll be moving into my very first own flat! I'm a bit scared of living on my own, to be honest, but I think I'll manage that somehow!
The first few things have already made their way into the flat, one product being the Nivea Shower Silk Mousse in Rhubarb Raspberry*.

I've been using this foam for about two months now and I absolutely love it! You just have to shake the bottle, press the pump on top and the foam will come out, all soft and fluffy! The first thing that I noticed, apart from the simple yet pretty design of the packaging, was the smell, though! It's a very soft but still very sweet and fruity scent, which is right up my street!

This foam also leaves the skin incredibly soft after showering and most of the time I don't even have to use a body lotion afterwards, which is definitely a bonus in my opinion because I kind of hate having to apply a body lotion.

There is or was another lemony version of this foam as well but I can't seem to find it anywhere at the moment! I hope they still have them in DM or Rossmann because I really want to try the other one as well, especially because I love fruity scents and lemon always sounds good to me!

Now on to some facts and figures for this product! This shower mousse costs 2.49€ at Rossmann and you get 200 ml. The bottle is, as you can clearly see, not transparent, which is quite annoying as you can't see how much you've used already at all!
I also think this lasts quite well. I've not been using this in every single shower I take because there are times where I just don't feel like using a foam or mousse so this lasts very well for me!

However, shower foams, in general, are definitely something to try and I can't wait to try some more! I just saw that Original Source also released some shower foams, which I really want to try and review for you guys!

What do you think about foams and mousses for the shower? x

Brand Focus: Rau Cosmetics

Recently I got the chance to try a completely new and amazing skincare brand, which is called Rau Cosmetics! They were kind enough to send over some product minis and I can't wait to share my experiences with you!

Apart from the BB Cream Perfect Care Medium, which is just too dark for me, I love everything! That's never happened before; I've never discovered a brand and instantly liked all of their products! My absolute favourite is the Calming & Repair Cream. It has such a light and amazing consistency and really does calm the skin! I always use this after the Silver Facial Washgel and the Tonic and my skin just feels great afterwards!

The face masks and the peeling are just as lovely as the rest of this range that I just mentioned! I love to use the Mineral Mask and the Beta Glucan Recovery Mask in the evening right after taking off my makeup because A. I love a good face mask before going to bed and B. these are my current favourites! Of course, I love my sheet masks but these two from Rau Cosmetics are just as great for my skin!

As these are the travel minis they're also perfect for trips away from home; I always use these when I go visit my family or my boyfriend over the weekends! The Tonic as such is definitely my favourite part of my not-at-home skincare routine! And of course the Cream - there's just something about this combination that my skin really enjoys and I love that!

I'm really glad that I got the chance to try some of their products because I found some new amazing ones to share with you and also some new favourites! Maybe go and have a look at their website yourself and see if there's anything you like!

Face Mask Favourites: Sheet Masks

Face masks have been a favourite thing of mine ever since I started blogging. There are so many amazing face masks out there and I have tried so many already that I can't really name only one favourite!
What I know for sure, though, is that I absolutely love sheet masks, especially the ones from Garnier! I purchased them a few weeks ago and only recently used the last one but I will repurchase a few of them very soon!

There are three masks from them that I really like, which are the Garnier SkinActive Hydrabomb Sheet Masks and I'm not sure whether or not they have a full name each but I think the different colours of the packaging makes it a lot easier to identify them anyway.

The first one claims to moisturise the skin and make it look more glowy, which I can definitely confirm! This one is also my favourite as it makes my skin look amazing and it smells great as well!
The other two sheet masks smell good, too and both of them claim to soothe and moisturise the skin, which I can confirm just as much!

It's always quite a struggle to put them on but I think that's a common thing when using sheet masks, isn't it? However, with sheet masks, I feel like they really do something for my skin and it always feels very spa-like when I put one on right before going to bed or in the morning before applying my makeup!

Sheet masks are definitely something to try and I hope to try some more masks and brands anytime soon!

Wellmaxx Shape Body Lotions

I have already talked about a few items from the Blogger Club Box I received in July and today I want to talk about two of the Wellmaxx body lotions!

The first one is the Wellmaxx Shape Bust Up Cream*, which claims to improve the elasticity and overall condition of the skin of your breast area and cleavage. First of all, I want to mention the incredible scent of this cream! It smells quite sweet but still fresh and I just love it so much! Along with the amazing scent, this body lotion absorbs very quickly and also has a very soft and creamy texture, which feels so good on the skin!
I'm not quite sure whether or not this has a made a difference in terms of elasticity, etc. but I just really like applying this on a regular basis before going to bed because it smells so good!

The other Wellmaxx product is the Shape Body Slim Day Lotion*, which claims to smooth skin contours and enhance the silhouette by stimulating the skin with a combination of caffeine and other helpful ingredients. The scent in this one is the same as in the Bust Up Cream but the texture is a lot more gel-like. Since using this one almost daily I do see a difference in my skin! I use this on my inner thighs and right below my bum, on my "problem areas", and gently massage it in. It feels very refreshing and also makes the skin feel a bit more toned! The extra bonus this has is the useful pump on top of the bottle, which makes the application even easier and faster!

Overall, I really like these two shaping body lotions because they smell incredible and the Body Slim Lotion actually works on my body! Like I already said I'm not too sure on the effect of the Bust Up Cream but I will definitely continue to use it anyway!

3 Setting Sprays Worth The Try

Here I'm back again with a "3 Products Worth The Try" post and this one has been on my list of blog post ideas for quite some time now - I seem to say that with almost every post, hm - and I'm so happy to finally present this to you guys!

I haven't been into setting sprays for that long but it's definitely become a part of my makeup routine that I don't want to miss now! There are three sprays in here but two of them are not actually stated to be a setting spray for makeup, however, I find them to be very good to use as such too!

But let's just go on with the products, shall we?

Prep & Prime Fix+ | MAC
The classic, of course. This one is indeed the only "real" setting spray and it's also my favourite. A little definitely goes a long way, especially when it's quite warm outside, this makes your makeup stay fresh a lot longer! Now that it's gotten a bit colder I also like to use this underneath my makeup just to make sure my skin is well prepared before putting any makeup on top. The mist is very fine as well, which is the most important thing to have a closer look at when testing out different setting sprays, in my opinion!

Grape Water | Caudalie
This one has been in my collection for such a long time and it's still going strong! I mainly use this when I think that my skin needs something to calm down in the morning before I go on with applying my makeup! After the makeup, I also like to spray this on as a setting spray because I think that it really helps my skin calm down and "destress". I have found this to set the makeup surprisingly well too, which I'm definitely not complaining about!

Rose Water Balancing Mist | Jurlique
Definitely a staple in many skincare collections and also one of mine! Many people love this face mist and I must admit that I love it too! It does say that it's a softening and hydrating face mist but that's the point why I think it's such a good setting spray for makeup as well! It really softens and hydrates the skin when you apply this before your makeup and somehow locks your makeup in place without making it look wet or patchy when it's applied afterwards! I will definitely use this more often during Autumn because my skin tends to dry out quite quickly during that season and this mist just really helps to nourish the skin!

As you can tell I'm not a girl that "sticks to the rules" of makeup and skincare products and just uses products that say "setting spray" on them. These products are definitely my top three at the moment and maybe there's the one or other new product for you in here as well!

What's your favourite setting/priming spray? x

Creating Longer Lashes At Home: The Cougar Fibre Lash Extender Kit

Lashes. Many of us out there struggle with making them look the way we want them to even though there are so many ways of getting longer or more voluminous lashes.

There was a time where I desperately wanted to get eyelash extensions or a lash lift but it's just too expensive for me. So I got over that very quickly and then discovered the Cougar Fibre Lash Extender Kit* in my latest Miabox from July! I have to say that this is nowhere comparable to a lash lift whatsoever but it's an amazing way to lengthen and also colour your lashes at home!

In this kit, you get two mascara-like looking bottles, of which one is the Magic Lash Mascara and one is the Magic Fibre Extender.
You apply the mascara first and let it dry for just a couple seconds before going in with the extender. When I first read the things this kit was supposed to do I laughed a bit because it sounded so easy but when I applied the mascara for the first time and the extender right after I was quite impressed!

It's a very delicate and almost natural look and you can also top it up with another coat of another mascara but it really lengthens the lashes because of the fibres that are in the extender, it's amazing!
At the moment I'm debating again whether or not to get a lash lift anytime soon... I would love to but I think it's something that once you start getting it done you have to go over and over again because you just get used to how it looks, you know?

I'm still very happy with this kit for now and it's also something to just put on and leave the house without having to apply various coats of mascara to make the lashes look alright.

Have you tried anything for longer, fuller lashes before? x

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Enchanted Dream Eye Palette

You guys may or may not have noticed that I didn't publish anything on Monday this week and I feel really bad about it, to be honest. I started my apprenticeship on that day and I just didn't manage to write anything! Hopefully, that's going to stay the one and only time that this happens now that I started my job!

Anyway! Today I want to talk to you about another gorgeous palette from Tanya Burr Cosmetics, which is the Enchanted Dream Eye Palette! I again got this on Feelunique a few months ago and I just can't help but say that this is even prettier than the Birthday Suit one!

Just like the Birthday Suit palette the Enchanted Dream palette contains four different shades: Moonlit Walk, Cocoa Plum, Berry Soufflé and Magic Carpet. They're all gorgeous and you can create various different looks with them!
Again, the pigmentation of the shades is amazing and they're very soft, almost buttery, which is such a lovely texture for eyeshadows and it makes applying them so much easier!

My favourite is definitely Berry Soufflé. I think it's an amazing shade to wear on its own, as well as with other shades, especially with a soft brown shade in the crease!
I'm of course still eyeing some other of her eyeshadow quads but for now, my collection is big enough and I think I've already found my favourite, which is this one!

This eyeshadow quad is perfect for a very simple yet very pretty everyday makeup look and I just love this so much!

Have you tried on of the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Eye Palettes before? x

Dr Rimpler & Isabelle Lancray Beauty Event Hanover 2017

Blogger events are definitely one of my favourite things in the entire world. I've only been to two events so far but I'm still so happy that I had the chance to actually be a part of these amazing events! One of them being the Beauty Blogger Café in Berlin last year, which I also blogged about and which is going to take part again next month, and the other one was the Dr Rimpler & Isballe Lancray Beauty Day in Hanover two weeks ago!

If you guys have been following my blog for a while now you may have seen me talking about the products from Isabelle Lancray quite often and they're definitely one of my favourite brands out there! So you can only imagine how shocked yet happy and excited I was when I got the invitation to their event!

I went there with my cousin from Angels Beauty Corner and we had an absolute blast that day! The Beauty Day started at 10 in the morning and I was a bit shy at first because there were already a few people sitting and chatting away and I didn't want to interrupt anything but in the end everyone turned out to be so lovely and nice that I now kind of regret not talking to all of them... But there's always a next time, I hope. I'm already so excited for the next Beauty Blogger Café and I can't wait to just go for it and talk to as many different people as possible!

The day started with us getting our name tags and being divided into three different groups and an introduction from the lovely team at Dr Rimpler of which Isabelle Lancray has become a part of years ago.

My cousin and I were part of the purple team - there was also a blue and a grey one - and we were the first ones to receive either a waxing treatment, a brow treatment or a lash treatment. Both Yasmin and I went for the brow treatment and we were really pleased with our results!

After that first part of the day, the next stop already waited for us which was a facial treatment and it was the best thing ever! I've never been so relaxed before, I tell you! Pampered and all relaxed the day went on with a lovely lunch together with the brands' team and all the other bloggers and we had a nice chat with the girls at our table.

Last but not least we were told a few things about the brand itself, about their products and the ingredients as well - all cruelty-free -, which was very interesting and informative! We even got a little goodie bag with products suited just for our own individual skin type and concerns and I'm still extremely excited about that!
Then we had a little more time to take photos in their showroom, get our makeup done professionally and just talk to each other. I wish I was a bit more confident and open towards all the other girls but I'm sure I'll see them at another event someday!

Again a huge thank you to Dr Rimpler for inviting me to this special event and I hope there will be many more to come!

I also want to mention just some of the lovely girls that were there with me as well!

Saskia from Miss Different
Sandy from Zaphiraw
Julia from Des Belle Choses
Sylvi from Sylvis Lifestyle
Christine from Pretty You

3 Eye Creams Worth The Try

Eye creams are definitely a thing to be very careful about and for me and my sensitive eye area, it's even more important. Down below I have three of my favourite eye creams at the moment that are amazing for making your eyes look more awake!

être belle | Golden Skin Roll-On Caviar Eye Gel
This is definitely my favourite! I received this in my Miabox in April and I tried and tested it ever since and I absolutely love it! It's so refreshing and hydrating and it's definitely made a difference in my undereye area! I feel like this also smoothes the skin very well, which is another amazing benefit!

Terra Naturi | Beauty Perfection Eye Cream
This again is something that I already blogged about a few weeks ago and I still love it! I mainly use this in the morning as it is very brightening and amazing for getting rid of those dark circles! This cream also seems great for sensitive skin!

Dalton | Face Care Instant Effect Eye Gel*
Last but not least I have this eye gel which is the most cooling and refreshing one out of these three! I sometimes even put it in the fridge for a few minutes and then apply it underneath the eyes; it's without a doubt the most amazing feeling ever! Especially when it's quite warm outside and you just feel like your eyes need a little refreshment!

Balea vs. Garnier: The BB Cream Battle

There are days where I don't want to wear a foundation or anything heavy on my face and that's when BB creams come in handy! I currently have only two in my makeup stash and I got both from my Highstreet Challenge with Angels Beauty Corner.

I have the Garnier SkinActive BB Cream in 'Light / Claire' and the Balea Tinted Moisturiser in 'Light Beige' with SPF 15. Both are said to be the perfect BB cream for a light coverage and a fresh looking appearance.

Balea
This one indeed has a very light coverage and it's also the perfect shade for my skintone. However, it doesn't make my skin look fresh at all. I tried three different ways of applying this to my face and none worked. I applied it with my fingers, it was streaky and not very blendable. I applied it with a brush, it looked awful! I applied it with a damp makeup sponge and it was even streakier and some parts of my face didn't even have product on! So, how am I supposed to apply this then?

I did try this BB cream a few more times and it always looked awful. I don't know whether it's just my skin type, my way of applying it or a combination of both that makes this a huge pass for me!

Garnier
On the other, more positive side of this duo-review, I also have a favourite of course! The Garnier BB cream is perfect for my skin type and it's easy to blend too; especially when you use a damp makeup sponge you get an almost flawless finish! It's so very lightweight and just barely covers any imperfections that your skin still looks natural but with a bit more dewiness.
The shade of this is perfect as well. I was a bit sceptical because I had tried a few face products that claimed to be for "light skin" and just didn't work out for me but this is just amazing for my skintone.

As you can tell I clearly have a favourite. I don't know what it is about the one from Balea but I just don't really like it. As for the one from Garnier, I don't have anything to complain really.
I'm really looking forward to trying some more BB and CC creams in the near future and I will, of course, review any new ones for you if you'd like that!

Do you use any BB creams? If so, which one is your favourite? x
