Zaful Wishlist

I was recently introduced to the website Zaful and they have so many lovely bits and pieces, ranging from dresses to off the shoulder tops to swimwear and so much more!
And because they have so many things that I would like to just have in my wardrobe and be able to wear every single day, I thought I'd put together a little wishlist with a few of my favourite things from their website!

On the first photo above there are the four pieces that I thought would look great as a first look at their selection of clothes!
I will leave all the items with their links down below, in case you want to have a look yourself! :)
Next up on my wishlist, there are four dresses that I just instantly fell in love with the second I saw them on the website! They're perfect for Summer, which I'm super excited for, and they're just so cute!
As my wardrobe lacks a collection of off the shoulder tops and Zaful has quite a few cute ones, I also included four of those in my wishlist!
Being excited for Summer already has also made put a few of their bikinis on my list, which I would love to get my hands on very soon!
Floral rompers seem to become my new thing this year and I would love to get a few to wear this year! I also spotted two denim pieces that I would like to get my hands on!
The last part of my wishlist consists of a few accessories that I've been loving since discovering them!
So that was my wishlist from Zaful with many lovely pieces and all the links so you can have a look yourself!

Let me know what you think about the website! :) x

Lernberger Stafsing Haircare

When it comes to haircare products I normally just stay with the ones I know best. Especially because my hair is quite damaged, dry and without any volume at the moment, which is quite annoying but nothing a good shampoo and conditioner can't fix!

So to test out something new and step a bit outside my comfort zone of haircare products, I got the Lernberger Stafsing Fiber Mousse*, the matching Blowdry Lotion* and both the Shampoo* and Conditioner for Dry Hair*.

Let's start with the products that haven't satisfied me that much. As I was saying on my Instagram post about the styling products - the Fibre Mousse and the Blowdry Lotion - from Lernberger Stafsing, I didn't like them very much when I used them for the first time, so I thought I should definitely give them a few more tries before stating an opinion on them.
But I just don't like them.
They make my hair look flat and dull and it makes my hair really electrified, which I absolutely hate!
Maybe these are just not right for my kind of hair or I used too much or too little or whatsoever but as far as I've used these, I can't really say I like them.

But now on to the products that have really blown me away in comparison to the styling products! The Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry Hair not only smell incredibly good, they are also great for my hair in its current state! This combination makes my hair look so healthy and shiny and after using my beloved Guhl Blowdry Lotion, my hair also looks voluminous as well, which I love!

Overall I'd say that the shampoo and the conditioner are definitely worth trying, whereas the styling products I'm not so sure with. Maybe it's just the state my hair is in right now or the amount I've used but so far I wouldn't recommend them.

How do you like the sound of these? Would you like to try them yourself? x

Orange Blue Cosmetics Body Lotions

Body lotions. Moisturising my body using this kind of skincare products is one of the many things I know I should do after taking a shower but I always forget about. I like using the Zoella Beauty body lotion because it smells incredible and makes my skin so soft and smooth!
My range of skincare products recently got bigger, now including the four body lotions from Orange Blue Cosmetics!

There are four in total, ranging from a lotion for sensitive skin to a one with an anti-ageing effect. All of these are said to be fast absorbing, which I can happily confirm, and promise first noticeable effects after a few weeks of continuous application.

I always connect the task of the body lotions with their colours:

Brown: Sensitive Skin with Almond Oil*
Orange: Triplex Anti-Ageing Effect with Coenzyme Q10, Caffeine and Argan Oil*
Green: Skin Refining with Aloe Vera Extract* (Using this everytime I've shaved my legs - so soothing on the skin!)
Blue: Skin Softening with Shea Butter*

These colours really make it easier for me to quickly spot and use the lotion I want to use, e.g. after a shower or before going to bed. The bottles the lotions come in all contain 400 ml of the product, which is a lot compared to the body lotions I've had before, so you'll be sure to use this for a while!

My absolute favourite, even though they're all lovely body lotions with an amazing smell, is by far the blue Skin Softening Lotion with Shea Butter! My skin has never been this soft and I will definitely continue to use this every evening before putting on my pyjamas!

You may or may not have already guessed it but after I had received this lovely set of lotions, I passed the orange Triplex Anti-Ageing Effect Lotion on to my mum and she's also very satisfied with that one! She's not seeing any results (yet) but she loves how soft the lotion makes her skin feel and how good it smells too! Just thought I'd throw in a little review from my mum here as well! :)

Overall, I'm very satisfied with these skincare products and if you want to have a look yourself you can check out the Orange Blue Cosmetics website right here! They also have a few other skincare bits on sale, which I will talk about in another post very soon!

What do you think about these body lotions? Do maybe even think about getting one yourself? x

Everyday Makeup Look

Happy Friday, my lovelies!
I can't believe how quickly this week has gone by! By this time next week, though, I'll be in school again, writing my last a-level exam, which is English, so that shouldn't be a problem – hopefully!

In today's post, I want to show you the products that I used to create this very simple everyday makeup look.
I opt for this kind of look most of the time, when I'm off to school or to do some shopping – it's a very easy yet effective look!

For the base, I used the Lancôme Énergie De Vie Liquid Moisturiser first and then the SLA Paris Skin Primer*. The primer makes my skin look a bit blurry and sets the perfect base for my foundation. It's also very smooth on the skin and makes any foundation glide on super easily!

For foundation, I used the L'Oréal True Match Foundation in the shade 1.N Ivory. I've already mentioned this lovely makeup product in my recent Feelunique Haul and added a bit of a first impression in there but now I can say that I absolutely love this foundation! The coverage is more medium but definitely buildable and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all! I applied the foundation with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and it did work very well, but I feel like it would work even better with a makeup sponge.
After foundation, I used my one true love when it comes to concealers: the Catrice Liquid Camouflage in the shade 005 Natural Light. I don't know how many times I've talked about this already but I know that I'll never get tired of doing so! I applied a bit of the concealer underneath my eyes, all over my nose (still fighting that Rosacea *sigh*) and on a few spots and blemishes that I have, blending it all out with a makeup sponge.

For powder, I used the Manhattan Soft Mat Loose Powder* in the shade 2 Beige together with a powder brush from BH Cosmetics, dusting it lightly on my t-zone and the areas that I know will get a bit shiny throughout the day.

For my eye makeup, I started off by using the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, which somehow didn't make it into the photo, I've just noticed – sorry about that!
After that, I used the newest addition to my eyeshadow palette collection, the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Birthday Suit Eye Palette. I absolutely adore this one! But I don't want to ramble on too much about this as I've planned a full review on it for the blog to go live very soon! The shades I used for this look were Marzipan as my base colour which I applied all over my lid, Toast as my crease colour and Soft Truffle to deepen the crease a little more!

For mascara, I then used the L'Oréal False Lash Superstar X-Fibre Mascara, starting with the black lash primer on my top and bottom lashes and letting them set for a few minutes before going back in with the actual mascara, applying one coat on my bottom and two coats on my top lashes.

For my brows, I used my trusty Essence Make Me Brow Sculpting Gel Mascara in 01 Blondy Brows and the Manhattan Eyebrow Pencil* in Blondy Brow 93D. Somehow, brow products that are made for lighter hair colours suit me way better than the ones for darker hair even though I have brown hair myself?!
For filling them in, I use the pencil first, going through the hair with a few gentle strokes until I'm satisfied with how they look. Then I use the gel mascara to set them in place and give them a bit more of a decent shape.

Sometimes I also like to apply a nude lipstick to finish off this makeup look but most of the time I'm done after doing my eyebrows.

I really want to start using more 'daring' shades on the eyes and on the lips as well because I want to create some celebrity-inspired makeup looks and post them here on the blog – make sure to leave some celebrities down below that you'd like me to get some inspiration from!

I have so many ideas for some new blog content lately but I'm not sure how to turn all those ideas into new posts! But I'll find a way, I guess! :)

Let me know your thoughts on this makeup look in the comments down below! x

Maybelline Eyeshadow Palettes

I just recently got my hands on three of the Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palettes after having heard quite a lot of good things about them. And, let's be honest, the packaging of these is just really pretty as well!

Each palette has 12 different shades - some of them are shimmery, some are matte but all of them are simply gorgeous
You can either combine two shades, four or six; they're all made to mix and match so all of them look beautiful together! But the 'manual' to combining these is on the back of the palettes!

The only thing I have to criticise about these palettes is the pigmentation. It's not that strong and it really is the only thing I don't like about these. However, if you use them with an eyeshadow primer, the shades do look better and then they last quite a long time either.

Overall, I absolutely love the palettes because I now have so many gorgeous shades to try and use for various makeup looks and I can definitely look past the pigmentation! I will also play around with all the shades and post the one or other makeup look here on the blog! :)

Have you tried any of the Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palettes? If so, how do you like them? x

Mini Feelunique Haul

I did it again. I placed an order on Feelunique and spent some more money. This time, though, I didn't spend that much!

I've been searching the internet for the right shade on the L'Oreal True Match Foundation because somehow they didn't seem to have my shade in German drugstores when I browsed the shelves, which really annoyed me.
After a while, I just thought 'You know what, I'll order it on Feelunique!' and that's what I did! I got the shade 1.N Ivory and it really is a 'true match' for me. When I placed the order, I was a little worried that it might not be the right shade for me, but it turned out to be perfect!

You see, I only wanted to get the foundation but there were a few products from my wishlist on sale that I've been dying to get my hands on ever since they were released a while back. So I finally got them, too!

One of the products being the beautiful Tanya Burr Cosmetics Eye Palette in 'Birthday Suit' and oh my God, I love this palette so much! I've been debating whether or not to get this quad for such a long time but I've seen so many gorgeous photos and reviews of this palette that I just had to get it! I'm already really really glad I purchased this - full review coming very soon!

The last item that made its way into my basket is the Zoella Beauty 'These Are a Few Of My Favourite Things' Beauty Bag which is just the prettiest makeup/beauty bag I've ever owned! And it really fits a lot of stuff!

And that's it already - three new additions to my makeup/beauty collection that I'm really looking forward to try and review for you!

What's the last item you purchased? :) x

Brand Focus: PUPA Milano

🐣🐰 Happy Easter, my lovelies! 🐰🐣

Today, I have another brand focus post for you, this time featuring the brand PUPA Milano. I was introduced to this gorgeous brand through the Blogger Club and really fell in love with the products I have at the moment.

There are only three palettes in my collection from PUPA Milano but I use all three of them on a regular basis. I have already posted a photo of the Contouring & Strobing #Ready4Selfie Powder Palette* on Instagram the other day and you all seemed to love the look of it! Of course, I love it just as much and I have tried my best to swatch the one highlighting and the three contouring shades for you in the second photo above! As the contouring shades are quite ashy and light, they're perfect for my pale skin!

The second palette is the Vamp! 4-Eyeshadow Palette*, which is just gorgeous! I absolutely love the shades in this small palette - they're all shimmery but still perfect for creating everyday makeup looks! Especially the touches of rosegold in every shade make this one a favourite of mine!
The eyeshadows are very smooth to apply to the lid, easy to blend and they don't have any fallout whatsoever. Another lovely bonus of this palette is - besides it having the perfect size for travelling - the large mirror on the inside of the top lid!

The last palette from PUPA Milano that I own is the Vamp! Compact Duo*, which has two very pretty shades that go very well together, but I also like to use them separately. Just like the 'big' palette, the quality of this duo is amazing - a little to no fallout (with the dark shade), lovely to blend and easy to apply!

All three products that I own from PUPA Milano haven't failed to satisfy me and I'm pretty sure many of their other products are just as amazing!

Have you ever tried something from PUPA Milano before? x

3 Lipsticks Worth The Try

You all know I absolutely love lipsticks and I think it's only fair to mention my three most favourite lipsticks here on my blog as well! I've already done a post on foundations and mascaras before if you want to check those out!

I'd say we start without further ado and jump straight into the post!

Maybelline | Color Sensational The Blushed Nudes Lipstick in 140 'Intense Pink'
If you've been reading my blog for a while you'll know that I absolutely love Maybelline and their lipsticks are amazing as well! This Blushed Nudes Lipstick is such a gorgeous peachy nude shade, perfect for applying everyday!

Rimmel | Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 107
Zoe (Zoella) talked about this shade a couple of times in her videos and because I trust her with using amazing products I got this one on Feelunique a while back and I'm still loving it! It's such a lovely shade, which I normally love to use in Autumn but at the moment, I'm just loving everything about this lipstick!

MAC | 'Whirl'
This is by far my favourite lipstick! MAC lipsticks are just amazing - their consistency is great, they're great to apply, look gorgeous and last very long! They also smell like vanilla, which is another lovely bonus!

What are your favourite lipsticks at the moment? x

Quick & Easy Easter Treats

As it is almost Easter and I finally had some time to do some baking and everything, I want to show you three quick and easy recipes today!
You can already tell by the images that I'm not an expert when it comes to cooking, baking, etc. but everything I made is delicious and that's why I want to share it with you! :)

Easter Dirt Pudding Cups (original)
You will need...
  • 1 package of Oreos
  • 2 packs instant vanilla pudding
  • 340 g whipped cream
  • 226 g cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • food colouring (blue, pink, green)
  • 1 cup coconut flakes
  •  chocolate eggs
You will have to...
  • Crush the oreos
  • Whisk pudding mix and milk and set aside to thicken in a bowl
  • In another bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; add and beat in powdered sugar
  • Whisk in whipped cream into pudding
  • Pour pudding mixture into cream cheese mixture and mix until combined
  • Divide mixture in half. Using a few drops of food colouring for each, stir until colour is completely mixed in.
  • Begin layering in small jars: 1-2 tbsp crushed Oreos, 2 tbsp one coloured pudding, 1-2 tbsp crushed Oreos, 2 tbsp other coloured pudding...
  • Place coconut in a small plastic storage bag, place a few drops of food colouring into the coconut, mix until coconut is dyed
  • Place coconut onto top layer of Oreos and add a few chocolate eggs

Almond Macaroon Nests (original)
You will need (for 30 nests)...
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 package sweetened almond flakes
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • 70 - 90 mini candy eggs
You will have to...
  • Preheat the oven to 150 °C
  • Combine the egg whites, salt and sugar, then mix in the almonds
  • Drop 2 tablespoons of the almond mixture into each prepared mini muffin cup
  • Lightly press the mixture into the bottom
  • Bake for 28 to 30 minutes, until lightly golden on top
  • Let them cool
  • Melt the chocolate, then add a small amount of chocolate into each nest and 2 or 3 candy eggs

Strawberry Margarita Mocktail (original)
You will need...
  • 500 g strawberries
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 sparkling water
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • Ice
  • Coloured sugar
  • Lime for garnish
You will have to...
  • Place the strawberries, orange juice, sparkling water, lime juice and ice into your blender
  • Blend until it reaches a slushy consistency
  • Take a lime wheel and cut a small slit then wipe it around the rim of the glasses, creating moisture on the inside and outside of 4 glasses
  • Pour the coarse sugar onto a plate and roll the glasses in it, collecting the sugar onto the lime juice on the rim
  • Pour the Strawberry Margarita into 4 glasses, garnish with a lime and serve!

Let me know if you'll give these a try and if so, make sure to tweet or send me some photos! :)

Happy Easter everyone! x

SLA Paris Natural Perfect Lipstick

A few days ago, I posted this photo on my Instagram and you guys loved the shade so I thought I'd post a little review on the blog as well!

This is the SLA Paris Natural Lipstick* in the shade 04 'Simple Nude' and it's a gorgeous light peachy nude that's perfect for Spring as well, just as the Green People Velvet Matte Lipstick I talked about in a recent post!

The consistency of this lipstick is so creamy and just very nice to apply to the lips. For me, it's my perfect 'my lips but better' shade and I was looking for such a lipstick for a very long time - so glad I finally found it!

It also lasts very well but it does need the one or other touch up during the day, especially after a drink or when you had something to eat, but I don't really mind. It's quickly become one of my all time favourite lipsticks!

What do you think about this shade? x

pure peeling pads

The box from the Blogger Club DE has had some amazing bits and pieces in it this month! Along with the other products, I also got the pure peeling pads*, which were up there with the bits I was looking forward to trying and testing out for you!

These are normal cotton pads, drenched in a skin cleansing liquid and covered in tiny orange peeling bits. They also smell very nice, which I was pleasantly surprised about because I thought peeling pads like these would have a strong ‘skincare product smell’. Turns out, they smell quite fresh and a bit fruity, in my opinion, but I can’t really make out what fruit they smell like…

As I have a weird combination of normal and somewhat sensitive skin, I thought the tiny peeling bits wouldn’t be good for my skin at all. But, to my surprise, my skin actually ‘likes’ these pads! My constantly red nose due to my Rosacea is a lot less red since I’ve been using these and I’m really happy about that! Of course, it’s not gone completely, that would be the most amazing thing ever, but I’m quite satisfied with how it looks at the moment!

I already talked about another pure skincare product in my Skincare Tips for All Skin Types post and I really liked the face cream as well!

Have you tried anything from pure yet? And how do you like the sound of these pads? x

Mini Highstreet Haul

A few days ago, I posted this photo on my Instagram to show you my mini highstreet haul from last week. I’m sure many of you know about these two products and their continuous appearance here on my blog, as both the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and the Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage Concealer are my two everyday essentials and I’ve been loving them since day one!

The Liquid Camouflage even came out in another, lighter shade (005 ‘Light Natural’), which turned out to be an even better match for my skin tone than my usual 010 ‘Porcelain’. The new shade made me like this concealer even more! If you can get hold of Catrice products, you should give this one a try!
The Lash Sensational has been my absolute favourite mascara ever since I first started using it and nothing has made change my mind! It’s still a great mascara, that lengthens and separates my lashes perfectly! Sometimes, when I have this applied, people even ask me if I’m wearing false lashes!

As I already mentioned before, these are two are definitely up there with my other staple makeup items, which I will do a post on really soon as well!

What do you think about the Lash Sensational and the Liquid Camouflage? Have you tried them yet or do you yet have to try them? x

Green People Velvet Matte Lipstick

With Spring in full-on mode, nude lipsticks become a staple item in my everyday makeup bag. This Green People Velvet Matte Lipstick in Damask Rose* is the perfect shade for this time of year!

It’s a gorgeous pinky-nude shade that looks even better with the Green People Velvet Matte Lipstick Lip Primer*, which does look like a normal lip balm but it also makes the lips so smooth and preps them perfectly for the lipstick afterwards!

I do like this lipstick a lot as it is the perfect shade for me and it also doesn’t look too weird on my lips – a lot of nude shades look a bit weird on me as my skin is so pale; it just doesn’t look good! With this lipstick, however, it’s very different! Like I said, it’s looks lovely when applied and it also doesn’t dry out the lips at all. It feels even better with the primer applied beforehand!

This lipstick is available on Green People and you can get 15% off with the code NUDEOBSESSION (valid till April 31st).

What do you think of this shade? Do you like it as much as I do? *heart eyes emoji* x

7 Hair and Skin Benefits of Argan Oil - Guest Post by Beth Martel

Source: Googles Images > Argan Oil
Perfectly flawless skin and hair have always been every girl's dream. Our quest of finding a product that would make a clear difference never rests. Why? Because we are never truly satisfied with the results of any. But I have brought a good news for all the girls out there and it is nothing but the magical argan oil. Yes, it is magic. It is that one product that will make a difference, a big one. The routine use of this oil can give you the skin and hair you have always aspired for.

This magical liquid that is light golden in colour and called "liquid gold" by many is extracted from the trees in Morocco. It is a favourite oil of most of the celebrities and MUAs out there. Being completely organic, it is used as a medicated cream for healing wounds as well.

Here are just a few yet most amazing benefits of argan oil for hair and skin:

1. No Restriction of Skin Type:
Being completely organic and non-greasy with zero side-effects, argan oil is suitable for all skin types. It is even best for skin that is super sensitive, excessively oily or acne prone. The oil is perfectly balanced and it keeps the skin hydrated without causing any allergic reactions or acne. It also reduces the production of natural oil on skin and fades away any blemishes or bumps on the skin.

2. Hair Shiner plus Damage Repair Treatment:
If you are a person who does not like to oil the hair and make them all greasy, argan oil is what you need. This non-greasy oil can be used as a hair shiner or a styling agent while it repairs your hair from the roots and make them naturally shinier and straight. It helps to settle the frizz and split ends as well. So many cosmetics companies around the globe sell it as an organic hair shiner.

3. Best for Exfoliation of Lips:
Almost all balms can make your lips soft for a while. However, none provides a permanent solution for softer and pinker lips. The good news is argan oil does. You can apply it as a lip cream or for better results, make a lip scrub out of it. Mix the oil with brown sugar and apply it daily with your toothbrush. This will help your lips to get rid of the dry and dead skin while gaining their natural tone back.

4. Vanishes and Prevents Stretch Marks:
Stretch marks are a major problem for women around the world who get them permanently after pregnancy. We only think that the stretch marks cannot go away for good but with the constant use of argan oil, they can. Massaging the affected areas with lukewarm oil daily before going to bed will not only help you get rid of the marks but also prevent them in the long run.

5. Delays the Aging Signs:
Argan oil is full of anti-oxidants that help to keep the skin fresh and glowing. Moreover, the fatty acids present in it improves the elasticity of the skin and fades away all the wrinkles on it. For best results, apply the warm oil on the skin and massage in an upward motion.

Spring Lookbook

Top: H&M, Bag: AliExpress, Jeans: H&M, Shoes: Victory
Top: H&M, Jeans: H&M, Shoes: H&M, Sunglasses: Amazon
Top: Tommy Hilfiger, Jeans: Abercrombie, Shoes: Nike, Jacket: Zara, Sunglasses: H&M
Shirt: Abercrombie, Shoes: Nike, Jeans: Hollister, Sunglasses: H&M
Doesn't he look handsome? I am one lucky girl, aye...

As you can tell, today's post is a bit of a new and different one as I really wanted to finally post a lookbook! We put together two outfits each and it was quite a lot of fun but also a struggle taking the photos! I think I or we might actually do many more of these in the future! ♥
This lookbook being our first one, we clearly need some more practise in taking the photos, posing, etc but we hope you like it anyway!

As for the topic 'Spring' I decided to go for a few lighter colours and shades in terms of clothing as well as in terms of makeup, which you can't really see in this post but I think I will do another one on Spring makeup soon!
Also please excuse my weird facial expressions... I didn't even know my face can look that stupid but I liked everything else about the photos so bare with me, ha! :P

My boyfriend, however, didn't change up his colour scheme at all for this lookbook! It's just the colours he wears all year round, even in Spring, but he still looks amazing. Like, how can someone be that gorgeous? Sorry, a girl in love speaking there... haha
I also just recently found out about Bonobos, which is an online fashion shop for men and they have such a great selection of clothes! My boyfriend also just had a look at it and the Tops and Bottoms sections are his two favourites - the website just really represents his taste in fashion!

All the information for the clothes are below the images and if you have any more questions don't hesitate to leave a comment or write me an e-mail! :)

What do you like to wear in Spring? Do you have any particular colours/items that you like to wear during this time of year? x

Braun FaceSpa Review

*Sponsored by Braun Germany*

Skincare is one of the most important topics for me at the moment. I've really been enjoying all things skincare and everything that is part of it.

Recently, I've kindly been sent the new Braun FaceSpa 851V, including an all new facial massaging pad (green).
The box comes with the Braun Facial Epilator + cap, a facial cleansing brush head + the massaging pad, a lighted mirror, a beauty pouch, a cleansing brush and a battery.

The first thing I noticed about the FaceSpa was the gorgeous rosegold design, which you all know I'm obsessed with!

But now on to the functions of this lovely FaceSpa! The facial epilator is the thing I was looking forward to the most!
I tried this for the first time and was a bit surprised by the sound this makes! It's quite noisy but not too loud, you know? For such a small device it's quite a lot of noise but I don't really mind at all!

Both the cleansing brush and the massaging pad are so lovely to use on your face as well, especially after taking off your makeup! I also like to use this as a little treat when I start my Sunday pamper routine as well because it just feels so lovely on the skin!

Everything also fits perfectly into the little pouch and you'll never lose one of the brushes or the cap or anything.

Overall, I'm really impressed with this little device! It's perfect for getting your eyebrows done yourself or removing tiny hairs on your face. And it's really pretty as well!

What do you think about this new Braun FaceSpa? x

3 Eyeshadow Palettes Worth The Try

Happy Sunday everyone!
For today's post, I thought I'd share the three eyeshadow palettes with you that I think are really worth the try!

Zoeva En Taupe & Rose Golden
The Zoeva eyeshadow palettes are just my absolute favourite! They all contain ten different shades - all very pigmented, lovely to blend and all the shades are beautiful!
Both the En Taupe and the Rose Golden palette have gorgeous shades - matte, shimmery, nude ones. There are shades for everyone and there are many more palettes on the Zoeva website as well! You can also create various different looks with only one palette which is amazing!

Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 Palette
Another gorgeous palette which is said to be a dupe to the Urban Decay Naked Palette and I really can't complain about this one! It has gorgeous shades, which are also easy to blend and very pigmented! I just love this so much as it's perfect for using it everyday - so glad I got this!

Do you have any eyeshadow palette recommendations? x

What’s In My Makeup Bag

It's the 1st of April and the first person to try and fool me today will be ignored for the rest of the day, I tell you.

Today's post is no joke, though, because I really want to share the bits that have been in my makeup for quite some time now. It's not that many products that I keep in there actually. In fact, I don't have many products left at all after my huge decluttering session, which is quite sad but I'm now at that point where I can finally start getting all the makeup bits and bobs I've been wanting for ages (NARS Sheer Glow, Burberry Liquid Lip Velvets, etc.)!

But now on to the few products that I still have in my everyday makeup bag! Let's start with the most vital part for me: concealer. I still use the Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage in 010 'Porcelain' and the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 010 'Fair'. Both amazing concealers and definitely worth repurchasing as both of them are almost gone.

Next up, there are two eyebrow products, which I've been using for quite some time as well; the Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in 01 'blondy brows' and the MaxFactor Eyebrow Pencil in 01 'Ebony'. They're both perfect for filling in my brows without making them look too unnatural and too fake.

And last but not least: mascara. Apart from my concealers, a good mascara is a big must-have in my makeup bag. And the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara is by far my absolute favourite!

There's also a pocket mirror, a spooly and a few cotton buds in there, just in case I quickly need to throw this in my bag when I sleep over at my boyfriend's house or something.

And that's it already! That's everything I have in my makeup bag at the moment and it's definitely not much!

Which products do you currently have in your makeup bag? x

Life Update: March

I can't believe it's March already! Time flies!
In 2017, I also want to continue posting some life updates every three months, just to keep you updated but also to write this down as kind of a diary for myself. That way I can go back to these posts someday and recall what happened during that time of my life.

The first three months of 2017 have already been quite exciting, nerv-wracking, sad, emotional, full of love and lots of other emotions.

I celebrated my 19th birthday in January with a full weekend in Berlin, together with my family and my boyfriend and it was by far the most amazing birthday I've had so far.

In February, not much happened. Although it was Valentine's Day and the last month of school for me, life hasn't really been exciting during that month.

March, however, has been a pretty exciting month. On the 10th, my boyfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary, one week later we had our last official day at school and the a-level exams started last week.
I also just completed my therapy with my last appointment the other day and it has helped me so much seeing a therapist over the past year. I never thought that it would change me the way it did but I'm so happy about it.
The most exciting thing for me this month has been the acceptance of my application to become a talent/artist/brand ambassador for the GLOW Conventions in Germany. Like, I still can't believe it and get goosebumps every time I talk about it! It's now possible for me to get invited to be a GLOW Pro at one of their conventions or even to be invited as an artist! OMG! This is seriously insane and I'm still over the moon! *heart eyes emoji*

The past couple of months have been quite exciting and made me really look forward to what's to come next this year! In June, I will give you another update on my life, which probably won't be filled with that much exciting stuff as I don't really have anything to do now that school's over but we'll see what happened then! :)

What about you? How's life been for you in the first three months of 2017? x

Cosnature Pomegranate Day & Night Cream

Happy Wednesday everyone! :)

In today's post I have two new skincare products that I want to show you, which are the Cosnature Pomegranate Day & Night Cream*.
Cosnature is an all natural and organic skincare brand, which is something I'm more and more into lately, so I thought these facial creams are right up my street!

I have tried both of them for about two to three days but I then passed them on to my mum because these are so hydrating and nourishing that not even my skin is able to cope with so much moisture!

They smell very nice, though, and also have a very nice consistency because they sink into the skin very quickly. My mum is in love with these as it is perfect for more mature skin, she says.

For her, they're perfect. For me, I think my skin is just not 'old' enough, you know? :P But I'm always glad when I can pass things on to my mum that satisfy her! Especially with skincare products, she gets a bit excited, just like me, ha!

This was my tiny and short review of both the day and night cream from Cosnature! :)

What do you think about all natural and organic skincare/makeup brands? I do really like them actually! x

March Favourites

It's crazy how time flies, I can't believe it's March already! I'm also in the middle of my a-level exams and it's stressing me out SO much, but I think - and hope - it's going to be worth it as I already have a dress for the 'party' we're having in June to celebrate the end of our time in school.

For my favourites this month, however, I have picked quite a few random bits but I just really like them all! :P

Starting with probably the most random thing in here.
Yes, that's a Nintendo. It's the Nintendo DS Lite in pink and I freaking love it. My family and my boyfriend all thought I was joking when I said I ordered a Nintendo on Ebay, but when it arrived they all just stared at me, wondering if I was mentally all right. I mean, it's a freaking amazing console and the games are just as cool! I feel a bit retro using this but I SO don't caaare!

After this random favourite of mine, I want to mention my beloved Garnier Skincare Face Masks. These masks... I have just completely fallen in love with them. They smell divine, they're great for my skin and they're cheap as well (0.75€ each). LOVE THEM!! *heart eyes emoji*

Next up: the Zoella Wonder Hand Cream. Somehow I rediscovered this during March and love it to pieces! I don't go anywhere without it and my hands are actually quite thankful for that; they feel so dry lately and this cream helps a lot!

For beauty bits, I only have two products this month, the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in 91 'Crème De Rose' and the Artdeco Art Couture Nail Lacquer in 978 'Silver Willow'*. Both are absolutely gorgeous products and especially the nail polish is so pretty!

The last three products I want to mention are a lipbalm, a shampoo and a shaving cream. The Moisturising Lip Balm from SLA Paris* is SO good and I absolutely love it! It's so nourishing and hydrating and it's just so much better than any other lip balm I've used before!
This Guhl Shampoo is definitely my most favourite shampoo ever! Every time after washing my hair with this, it looks so much healthier, shinier and thicker that I just want to run my fingers through it all day long!
And last but definitely not least, I want to mention the Balea Pink Grapefruit Shaving Cream. This shaving cream has made shaving my legs - and everything else, duh - SO much more comfortable! I've only used a shaving cream once before and didn't really like it, but when I saw this I just thought I'd give these creams another go and I'm so glad I did! It also smells incredible and makes my skin feel super soft afterwards! Such a good purchase!

What have you been loving during March? x

Blog Photography Tips

I definitely am not the very best when it comes to taking photos, especially when it comes to taking those for my blog. Every photo has to be perfect and it does takes a long time to really get the hang of taking good photos...

Today I want to share my experiences and tips with you on how to take photos for your blog! :) Remember, I'm not an expert and I just want to share the steps I go through when taking these.

If you don't like it, don't use it.
It's as simple as that. And sometimes I did actually upload posts with images I didn't like at all just because I either didn't want to make an effort to take another one or I just couldn't. Yes, with some products or whatsoever I just don't get the hang of taking a photo of it! It's SO annoying! But you have to keep going and try your very best! :) It's time consuming and sometimes nerve wrecking but it's going to be worth it.

Invest in a 50 mm lens.
This has seriously stepped up my photography game by 110%, if I may say so myself. This lens has just changed the way I take photos completely and I enjoy using my camera so much more ever since investing in that lens! I highly recommend using a 50 mm one, especially for product photography!

Look for inspiration and use it.
Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter... There are so many websites out there that give you a huge amount of inspirational sources for your blog photography so make sure to use them! When I first started blogging, I was a bit scared to use tips from other posts because it made me feel like I would actually steal their ideas. But of course you're not stealing them!
Remember: you're always just looking for a new way to change things up a bit and find a new way to make things look pretty and to your liking, not to steal or copy from another creator.

Get yourself some cute props, backgrounds and equipment.
You don't have to spend a fortune to take pretty and appealing images. Have some cardboard and tinfoil? Make a reflector out of it. Recently got a new copper candle holder? Make sure to display it in the background of your images.
It sounds so easy to decorate your images to make them look pretty but it's actually not. You really need to get the hang of it but once you've got that, you'll see that it's so much fun to play around with different objects, colours, etc. :) I've also found it really helpful to use a tripod and a remote for some images as it makes it easier to set up all the general camera settings.

Remember the lighting, aperture, ISO settings.
Of course there's no blog photography post out there without the tips of setting up your camera the right way. You don't have to be an expert to set these things up, you should just make sure to not ignore them completely. A bit of manual control on your camera always helps to make your images look prettier and appealing!

I really hope you've enjoyed reading this post as it was very important to me to getting the message out there that it's not about other people's opinions but about your own. I feel like lots of bloggers/creators just do things for others, not for themselves, you know?

Do you have any more tips on blog photography? x

Beauty Wishlist

With my recent declutter and clearing out session, I got rid of a good amount of makeup bits and bobs that just weren't my shade, that I didn't like or that I just never used. Having so much space for some new products now, I already had a look on Feelunique and found some products that I would like to get in the near future...

NARS | Sheer Glow Foundation in 'Siberia' & Radiant Creamy Concealer in 'Vanilla'
I've been dying to get my hands on these two products ever since I was first introduced to NARS as a brand via YouTube and various blogs on the internet! However, I always seemed to be just satisfied with the foundations and concealers I owned that I never really got around to finding a reason to buy these two! I hope I will get my hands on these very soon, though!

Lancôme | Énergie De Vie Liquid Moisturiser
I thought I'd just stock up on this amazing moisturiser by getting the full sized version of this but when I saw the price I knew that it's an investment that has to be well thought about! It is definitely worth the money as I already tried the mini version of this but it's still a lot to pay for a poor student... *silently cries*

QUAI | Dry Shampoo
I have seen Victoria from Inthefrow talk about this dry shampoo in her latest favourites video and I really liked the sound of it and as I'm currently looking for a new dry shampoo, I think I will get my hands on this one and see how I like it!

Burberry | Complete Eye Palette in 12 'Nude Blush' & Liquid Lip Velvet in 17 'Dark Rosewood' & 53 'Oxblood'
Some more pricey makeup products that I've chosen here... But I just couldn't help but fall in love with the shades of the palette and these two Liquid Lip Velvet shades! They are gorgeous! Also, I've been wanting to try some makeup bits from Burberry for quite some time now and I think these products would be great to begin with!

What have you been lusting over lately? x
