Quick & Easy Birthday Party Treats

As my birthday is just around the corner - 2 more days! - I thought I would try some new quick and easy snack recipes to share with you! These three recipes are great for a birthday party and basically every other party occasion!

Veggie Crescent Bites (original)
You will need...
  • 1 can of crescent rolls dough
  • 115 g  cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 2 cups chopped veggies (bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, arugula)
You will have to...
  • Preheat oven to 220°C
  • Combine cream cheese, sour cream and chives 
  • Roll out the crescent rolls dough and make sure all the single bits are sticking together to form one large sheet of dough
  • Bake the sheet of dough on a baking paper-lined baking sheet for about 10 - 12 minutes and let it cool afterwards
  • Spread the cream cheese-sour cream-chives-dill mixture onto the cooled sheet
  • Put all your veggies on top
  • Cut it into small pieces to serve

Caprese Salad Skewers (original)
You will need...
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Mozzarella balls
  • Arugula
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper
You will have to...
  • Put tomatoes, mozzarella and arugula on medium-sized toothpicks, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and peper
  • Optional: Heat up balsamic vinegar until it begins boiling, then let simmering for about 10 - 15 minutes until it reduces to a syrup consistency, let it cool and then drizzle it onto the salad skewers

Salami Pizza Twists (original)
You will need...
  • 500 g pizza dough
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 6 tablespoons of pizza cheese
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 115 g salami
You will have to...
  • Preheat the oven to 230°C
  • Roll the dough out into a rectangle on a lightly floured large cutting board
  • Combine garlic powder, pizza cheese and red pepper flakes. Sprinkle all of the mixture onto the dough and top one half with the salami
  • Fold the side of the dough without the salami on it over to the other side, covering the filling
  • Cut the dough into thin strips. Twist the strips a few times and press down on the ends to keep them closed
  • Brush the tops of the twists with olive oil 
  • Place the twists on a baking paper-lined baking sheet
  • Bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until twists are golden brown
So these are three quite easy recipes that are super yummy and great for a party! :)
