Makeup Revolution Renaissance Glow Palette & Lipsticks

In today's post, I'm finally going to talk about the Renaissance Glow Palette and the Renaissance Lipsticks from Makeup Revolution, which I have been dying to review for you guys! These products have been all over Instagram lately and when I saw them for the first time I was like 'Wait, isn't that Charlotte Tilbury?' but then I was told that they're actually Makeup Revolution so it was obvious that I had to get my hands on these!

But without further ado I'd say we should just jump right into the post, shall we?

Let's start with the Glow Palette, which does not only look very sleek and pretty in that packaging with a big mirror on the inside, but the shades are also perfect for fairer skin tones!
The Sculpt shade on the left side is great for my skin tone at the moment as it is not too warm but not too ashy either. The right side of the palette is a gorgeous soft golden highlighting shade, which is not shimmery at all, just glowy!
As for the texture and the application of this sculpting and highlighting duo I have to say I was surprisingly impressed when I tried it for the first time! Both the highlighting and the sculpting shade are very soft and glide on very smoothly!

For the application, I use the Jessup Accuracy Flat Angeled 088 Brush and the Jessup Tapered Highlighter 137 Brush - I find the product to work best with those two brushes and they just blend very nicely and easily as well. However, you have to be really careful with the sculpting shade not to blend it too much otherwise it's just gone and no one will ever know you've actually made an effort contouring your face!

Both shades are quite durable but they don't last all day long, though, they make your skin look very glowy and healthy - definitely makes me look past the non-24h lasting!

Now on to the lipsticks we go!
There are lots of gorgeous shades in the Renaissance Collection but I decided to go for two which are Greatest (a pink berry-toned nude) and Lifelong (a mauve-toned nude).
I also must say that I've never used such creamy lipsticks in my entire life! They are SO creamy and the colour payoff is incredible as well! They have a satin finish and moisturise your lips very well at the same time, not to mention that they also last very well throughout the day with only occasional touch ups!
Also, can we just take a moment and talk about this stunningly gorgeous rose gold packaging?! *heart eyes emoji*

I got the palette and the lipsticks on a German website called Kosmetik4Less for €9.99 and €4.99/lipstick which I think are very reasonable prices for such good products!

Have you tried anything from the Makeup Revolution Renaissance Collection yet? x

Weleda Refining Toner

💮 Happy Monday lovelies! 💮
Yet another week has begun and I'm feeling very motivated and energised to actually get something done this week, yay! On Thursday, I'm finally getting my results for my A-level exams and I'm beyond nervous but also excited - let's wait and see how everything turned out!

Anyway! Today, I want to talk to you about the Weleda Refining Toner*, which has recently made its way into my daily skincare routine - morning and evening.
First up I want to mention the most obvious thing about this product, which is the packaging, duh. It's a 100 ml blue glass bottle and I absolutely love the colour! It's a very sleek yet very pretty packaging and it also looks gorgeous standing there on my dressing table!

The application of this toner is also very easy as you just have to use a few drops of it on a cotton pad before gently pressing it onto your face. I use this mainly on my t-zone and on the area underneath my eyes as I find it to be most refreshing that way.

The scent is adding to that refreshed feeling as well. It's a mixture of something very spa-like and fresh, which I assume is the organic lemon juice. I've never described a scent like that before but this toner just smells wonderful! I can't find any better adjective to describe this! Wonderful! It also makes me somewhat happy whenever I smell and use it, which is another reason why I just love using this, especially in the morning! It's a great way to start your day happy and refreshed!

The effect this has on my skin is lovely as well. It's not only very refreshing in the morning and soothing in the evening but it also leaves me with soft and smooth skin afterwards!

This toner has really satisfied me ever since I tried it for the first time and I will definitely repurchase it once I have finished this bottle - which will hopefully last me for a few more months!

Have you tried anything new from Weleda recently? x

May Favourites

Happy Sunday lovelies! And it's already time for my monthly favourites again! I can't believe how quickly time flies, it's insane!

Throughout the month of May, I liked quite a lot of products but only a few of them have made their way into my favourites post!

Starting off with the three skincare products I want to mention in this months' favourites post - the Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Lotion, the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist and the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. All three of them have become a daily part of my skincare routine in the morning as they make a great combination for a dewy and healthy looking skin!

Another non-makeup item in this months' favourites is the Merci Handy Chérie Cherry Hand Cleansing Gel. It has a great size to fit in your handbag and smells incredible! It also leaves your hands feeling very fresh and clean and absorbs very quickly, which is just another plus and a reason for me to like this even more!

But now on to the makeup bits! First up, I want to mention the Manhattan Contouring Kit in 001 'St Tropez Glow', which I absolutely adore! It's very similar to my Rimmel Kate one, which is one of my favourites so I was almost 100% sure I would love this one as well!

Next up, there are three eye makeup items, which are both of the p2 Pump Up The Glow Eye Blur Pens and - again - the PUPA Milano Vamp! 4-Eyeshadow Palette in 003, which I still absolutely love and just have to mention again this month! It's just too gorgeous, isn't it?!

So these are all of my favourites from this month! I hope you liked reading this post as much as I liked writing it for you guys! :)

What have you been loving throughout May? x

Celebrity Inspired Makeup - Selena Gomez

A while back, I came up with the idea of creating celebrity inspired makeup looks and posting them here on the blog just to see how everything would turn out and if you guys will like those posts!
Today is the day I want to you show my very first inspired look, which was created after a gorgeous photo of Selena Gomez (here)!

As these looks are just inspired by the famous example and are not meant to look exactly the same, I'm quite happy with how my version of her makeup look turned out! In reality, it looked a lot better than in the images - I never felt so pretty before! *blushes*
I really hope you like this makeup look as well and now I will just tell you which products I used and how I applied them to my face to create this!

Before applying any makeup, I used the Cosnature Detox Day Cream* and the HighDroxy Porify Solution* - this combination has been my absolute favourite ever since receiving these products in my latest Blogger Club Box! A review on each of the products will be up on the blog soon!

After having prepped my skin for the makeup, I applied the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in the shade 100, which is a perfect match for my skin tone at the moment! I just applied that with a damp makeup sponge to receive the most natural look.
For this makeup look, I used two concealers, the Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage in 005 'Light Natural' on my nose and other spots I had and the Manhattan 3 in 1 Easy Match Concealer in 30 'Porcelain' underneath my eyes to cover those dark circles!

For my contour, bronzer and highlight I used the Rimmel Kate Sculpting & Highlighting Trio in 002 'Coral Glow', the Manhattan Natural Bronzing Powder* and my beloved Mary-Lou Manizer from theBalm in that exact order!

The eye makeup I created with the Maybelline The Nudes Palette, which had the perfect shades for this natural look! After I applied the p2 Pump Up The Glow Eye Pen in 020 'Champagne' all over my lid, I used the second to last shade from the first row of the palette and starting blending out any harsh lines from the Eye Pen to create a softer look.
After blending those two, I used the second shade in the second row of the palette and put that in the crease to darken the outer part of my eye. With that shade and a flat eyeshadow brush I also created some sort of  'wing' shape on the outer part of my eye.
Lastly, I put the fourth shade from the second row of the palette in the center of my lid and right below the lower lashline.

After all these eyeshadows, I applied a coat of the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara and added a few of the Kiss Haute Couture Single Lashes on the outer part of my lashes.

To finish the look, I then used the Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in 03 'Soft Browny Brows' to make my brows look a bit neater. On the lips I used the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'London' and the Essence Shine Shine Shine Lipgloss in 01 'Behind The Scenes'.

Et voilà, we're done! Like I said before, I really liked creating this makeup look and I'm happy with how it turned out - I hope you do, too! :)

Let me know what you think about this! x

Creating a Beautiful Scandinavian Interior - Guest Post by Tracey Clayton

Scandinavian design is undoubtedly one of the most popular interior decoration trends. Its minimalism and the use of natural materials makes it suitable for both residential and public spaces. Designers all over the world are trying to recreate ingenious design solutions coming from the far north of Europe. Still, one question remains – what is the essence of Scandinavian-style interiors? Let’s try and answer it.

A Reign of Metal
Scandinavians love their metal. The region is home to the greatest number of metal bands per capita. The fearsome Vikings once spread horror along the northern shores using, well – metal. And today, metallic accents and ornaments are the trademark of Scandinavian design. Ball-shaped copper lights, for example, are trending in Scandinavia this year, used both as chandeliers and table lamps. What is more, they can be combined with copper and brass door handles, as well as similarly-coloured picture frames.

Less is more
Proverbial minimalism is a trait of the Nordic people. Their cultural pragmatism leaves little understanding for things that have no practical use. Minimalism is one of the tenets of Scandinavian style and it derives from their way of life. Smaller homes have always been easier to warm. In turn, by using cold colours and a lot of free space, you could make your living space appear much larger than it is. In order for this trick to work, all accessories in the room need to be simple both in shape and texture

Wall colours
When it comes to interior decoration, Scandinavian patriotism never falls short. This people has always loved to include the colours of their peninsula’s craggy shores, glacier-topped mountains and virgin snows in their design. In the words of a decorator, they translate as soft greys, light blues and milky whites. If painting the whole house is above your re-decorating budget, you can resort to accent painting, an increasingly popular trend in the last few years. For example, you paint only one wall into flint grey and leave the remaining walls snow white.

Mythic furniture
Every piece of Scandinavian furniture is a work of art that you can pass onto your grand kids, as it will probably last forever. Scandinavian manufacturers pay great attention to detail and the smooth curves and lines transform simplistic into elegant. The simplicity of the furniture is not only intended to unburden the eyes, but also to increase its functionality. It allows for an immaculate arrangement of individual pieces without taking up too much space. Although Nordic decor is recognized by its modernist pieces, it’s a common misconception that it leaves no room for antiques. On the contrary, antique items that have simple and regular shapes are more than welcome.

A flooring smorgasbord
While no one can challenge the practicality of the wall-to-wall carpet, hardwood or tiled floors are the hallmark of Scandinavian design. These two flooring options have the advantage of being as beautiful as they are easy to maintain. Hardwood floors provide for an abundance of styles, while tiles allow for more customization. A popular option is to arrange the tiles in a geometric shape that can give the room a completely new look. Since both hardwood and tiles are cold for bare feet, throw in a flat weave runner rug for a final touch.

Monochrome accessories
You can have lots of accessories or only a handful of them, but the same rule applies – keep the colours to a minimum. And that’s just how it is. The true acolytes of Scandinavian style, however, would choose a small number of carefully selected accessories and place them somewhere they can achieve a ‘less is best’ effect. One piece of art is more than enough for one wall, accompanied by a modest cloud grey lamp or vase that brings a bit of warmth into the room.
Mastering Nordic design isn’t that difficult. Once you grasp the basics of minimalism and start thinking as a Scandinavian, the whole decoration process becomes a rewarding arbejdsglæde.

Highstreet Haul

Oops, I did it again... I went shopping recently and I spent a bit of money on some new makeup and beauty bits. Some of them I got when I went shopping with my mum and some of them I just got myself but I still spent way more than I was planning to!

The main reason I went to Müller, which is a German drugstore, was the new L'Oreal Miss Baby Doll Mascara. I had seen so many great reviews about it that I really wanted to try it myself - but the 'I'll only buy the mascara'-thought quickly vanished when I remembered all the other products I had wanted to try for a while, so I just bought most of them as well.

Down below, I have created a little list with all the products and their prices. I hope to post the one or other review about them here on the blog as well soon!

  • Kiss Haute Couture Natural Premium Lashes - €5.95
  • Labello Lip Balm - €0.99
  • Essence Eyebrow Gel Colour & Shape 01 'Brown' - €2.95
  • Essence Eyebrow Brush - €1.45
  • Essence Eyebrow Tweezer - €1.95
  • Essence Shine Shine Shine Lipgloss 01 'Behind the Scenes' - €1.95
  • L'Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara - €9.95
  • Maybelline Great Lash Mascara - €3.45
  • Catrice Cosmetics Stylo Eyeshadow Pen 030 'Copper And Paste', 040 'Brown To Earth' - €3.95 each
  • Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage Concealer 005 'Light Natural' - €3.45
  • Manhattan Khol Kajal Eyeliner 'Nude Couture' 51D - €1.75
  • Manhattan Wake Up Concealer 001 'Naturelle' - €2.95
  • Manhattan 3 in 1 Easy Match Concealer 10 'Porcelain' - €5.45

So this is everything I got recently and I can't wait to try all of the products and tell you more about them!

Ride or Die Makeup Tag

Last year, Jaclyn Hill came up with the popular 'Ride or Die Makeup Tag'. In her video she talks about the makeup products that she would bring on a desert island with her.
Lots of other YouTubers and Bloggers did this tag and I really wanted to jump on the bandwagon as well - I wasn't tagged to do this, though.... Breaking the rules for once, I'm just going to talk about my Ride or Die Makeup in today's post, if that's all right?! :P

I'd say we should just get into this post without any further ado, shouldn't we?

I can't think of one for this post!

L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation in 01

Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage Concealer in 005 'Light Natural'

Face Powder
I don't really like using a face powder

Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting & Highlighting Palette in 002 'Coral Glow'

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer

Maybelline Lash Sensational

Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in 03 'Soft Browny Brows'

MAC 'Velvet Teddy'

Liquid Lip
I prefer lipsticks

Eyeshadow Palette
Zoeva 'Rose Golden'

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium

I left out some of the original categories and included the category 'Brows' instead. It was actually a lot of fun setting up this post and writing it as well! However, it was quite hard to narrow down only one product for each makeup category but I somehow managed to do that! Yay!

Feel free to post a Ride or Die Makeup Tag yourself and let me know when you published it! I would love to read some other posts! :) x

Orange Blue Cosmetics Facial Creams

It's yet another lovely Sunday and I don't know why but I feel very happy and content lately. Of course, it's not a bad thing to say that you're happy but it's just not normal for me, you know?

A few weeks ago, I blogged about the Orange Blue Cosmetics Body Lotions which are incredible so of course, I wanted to review the facial creams for you guys as well!

I have been trying the Orange Blue Cosmetics Goodbye Makeup Reloaded CC Cream* in 'Light' for a while but so far I don't like it. It smells very nice, though, it doesn't look right on my skin. This is a product I had very high hopes in - and still have as I want to try it even more - because I'm desperately looking for a cc cream for my everyday makeup. I really want to like it and I will make sure to try it a few more times before going back to this post and adding a bit of information for this cream! I'm quite sure that it would look good on any other skin types, though, my skin and especially my skin tone is just really sensitive when it comes to new tinted facial creams!

The other product I want to talk about is the Orange Blue Cosmetics Q10 Regeneration Facial Cream*. This cream I had tried for a couple more times than the cc cream before I passed it on to my mum after a few days. It's just too rich and moisturising for my 'young' skin, I'd say. My mum, however, loves this facial cream a lot! She says it's great for her mature skin and she also likes the scent and the consistency! I also have to say that I also noticed a difference in her complexion since she started using the cream. Her skin looks a lot healthier and also a bit 'younger'.

It's funny and kind of cute that she always gives me a little review of products I get sent to try and then pass on to her because she knows I want to blog about them!

Overall my mum and I are very satisfied with the Q10 Regeneration Facial Cream, but personally, I really have to try and test the CC Cream a bit more before forming an opinion on it. Like I said it's quite hard for me, my skin and my skin tone to actually get something that looks decent on me!

Have you tried anything from Orange Blue Cosmetics before? If so, what have you tried and how do you like it? x

New Bath Time Additions

I planned this post a while back when the weather was still great to actually enjoy taking a bath but with currently 27°C outside and 24°C in my room, I think I'd rather have a cold shower than taking a bath! But I wanted to share these lovely new products from Dresdner Essenz with you anyway!

Dresdner Essenz is a German bath and body brand and they recently relaunched their website, now featuring a few bloggers and their favourite products. And guess who made it onto the website?! I'm beyond excited and happy that my picture and review is online now!

But now on to the products I want to talk about! I had four of their bathing products but I already used one of them when I took the photo so I will just talk about that one....

The three products that made it into the photo - but were used a few days afterwards, of course - are the Bubble Bath Mango* (€3.99), which smells incredible and makes the best bubbles and two of their bath salts, which are the Bath Essence Paris, Mon Amour!* and the Bath Essence Dewy Fresh* (€1.19).
The product I had already used was the Sparkling Bath Buoyance* (€0.99), which smells delicious and leaves your skin smooth and silky after having used it in your bath.

All of these products are amazing for having a relaxed and soothing bath after an exhausting day or just to de-stress in general. The thing I like about them the most is their scent, though. I have tried a few products from Dresdner Essenz before I was sent these goodies and I already knew what some of the Sparkling Baths smelt like - I loved every single scent I had, I can tell you!

Not only do they smell amazing, they are also great for your skin. Especially the Bubble Bath makes my skin feel soft and hydrated that I rarely need to use a body lotion afterwards anymore!

I really enjoy using these bathing products and I will definitely purchase more of them!

Have you tried something from Dresdner Essenz before? x

Prep Your Skin For Spring - Guest Post by Mia Taylor

Spring is the time when everything is in bloom. The cold, dreary days of winter slowly become colourful and bright, and people emerge from their heavy, dark coats and slip into light jackets. Everything awakens, and the air is filled with the scent of flowers and fresh grass. While we never forget to change the clothes we wear, sometimes we don't realise that our skin routine will need to be different as well. Below are a few tips that will help you start the spring with a clear, beautiful face.

In winter our skin doesn't have a lot of chance to breathe, so do yourself a favour and find a good body and face scrub. Exfoliating will help you get rid of the dead skin cells and keep you feeling fresh. It will also open up your pores, and make it easier to apply any cosmetics you might be using. Choose a scrub that's appropriate for your skin type, as not all scrubs are the same - some might be too harsh for you.

Choose a lighter moisturizer
When the weather is cold, we tend to use heavier creams in order to protect our skin from the elements. But in spring, instead of oil based, try using a water based moisturizer. Find something with a nice, light texture that won't make your face look too shiny, because warmer times are coming and you're bound to sweat more. It would also be good to start using a sunscreen with higher SPF, especially if your skin is sensitive and prone to redness.

Be careful with your makeup
Spring usually calls for brighter things, not only when it comes to clothes. This year you could have fun with pastel coloured makeup which will give you a softer, more elegant look. Your foundation should be lightweight and water based, as heavy foundation can cause breakouts in warmer weather. Spring is the best time to experiment with colours, so don't be afraid to try something you normally wouldn't.

Keep your skin smooth
In winter, you usually wear warm pants, so you don't have to pay much attention to how hairy your legs are. However, spring is the time of shorter skirts and strappy shirts, so it's time to schedule the appointment with your regular cosmetologist. Better yet, now is the perfect time to try the permanent laser hair removal. It definitely costs more than your regular waxing, but you will save a lot more money in the long run and it will make both your spring and summer more enjoyable.

Up your water intake
It's always important to stay hydrated, but it's especially good to drink more water as the weather gets warmer. This will help keep your skin clear from blemishes and you'll want to look your best now that you can no longer hide behind a woollen scarf.

Have a balanced diet
We tend to overeat during winter and then those extra pounds come back to haunt us when we attempt to get into tight pants and short skirts. Eating well is very important not just for your weight, but also your skin. People who have issues with pigmentation or with acne would especially benefit from cutting out processed food and sugars from their menu, as these can make you break out like crazy. Choose many light, small portions instead of eating three huge meals a day and try to eat a lot of fruit and vegetables.
If you are dreading the cold and can't wait for this winter to be over, then maybe you should try and make the wait more enjoyable by preparing for spring. Now's the right time to make plans for your vacation, or use the bad weather as an excuse to stay in and curl up with a good book and warm tea.

Weleda Lip Balms

I'm finally back with a new blog post today! On Monday, I had my last a-levels exam, which was Economics and I did all right, and now I can finally catch up on all my social media accounts and continue writing up blog posts, scheduling them and taking photos for all the upcoming posts I want to publish!

However, I still don't feel as motivated about blogging as I should which bothers me a lot but I'll try my best to get over it and find some more motivation again! :)

I recently got the chance to try out the three new Weleda Lip Balms* in the shades berry red, rose and nude. Normally, I just use the original Labello as a lip balm because it makes my lips soft and nourishes them very well.

When applied to the lips, the Weleda Lip Balms give you a hint of colour, which looks still very natural and moisturises your lips as well! They're a bit sticky when first applied but after a while, that sticky feeling just goes away and leaves your lips looking soft and with a bit of colour!

My personal favourite is the shade rose as it is the perfect 'my lips but better' shade for me! Personally, I think that these are great lip balms and look really pretty and natural when applied to the lips but I do prefer my Labello a lot more! I just like clear lip balms better than coloured ones, I guess.

Have you tried anything new from Weleda recently? x

MAC Lipstick 'Sin'

💮 Happy Friday! 💮

It's such a lovely day today, isn't it? I'm so glad the weather has become more like actual Spring recently - it makes me so happy and puts me in such a good mood!

In today's blog post I want to talk to you about another MAC lipstick of mine, which is the shade 'Sin'. My boyfriend got me this shade for my birthday in January - well, actually I picked the shade and he paid for it... :P
I recently talked about the shade 'Whirl' in a separate post here on the blog, if you want to go check that out first!
But I basically talked about everything from texture, to how long it lasts, to price and where to get it. I hope I won't repeat myself that much in this post because these are the exact same lipsticks, just in different shades! However, I wanted to do a single post on 'Sin' because the shade is just freaking gorgeous!

Which now leads me to the actual review of the lipstick! 'Sin' is a dark red-purple-berry toned shade, which is just perfect for Autumn and Winter. I love wearing this all year around, though, it looks better during those seasons!

For this lipstick, I sadly don't have a matching lipliner which makes the application a lot more difficult. During the day it also tends to smudge a bit but it's nothing a cotton bud can't fix!

As for everything else, it's identical to 'Whirl'. This shade is also one of the matte finishes, which are my favourite at the moment.
Swatched on the back of my hand, this shade looks very similar to 128 'Starry Eyed' from Rimmel, which surprised me a lot!

Well, this seems to be a shorter post than usual but I already talked about everything in that other post! haha :P

How do you like 'Sin'? x

p2 Cosmopolitan Chic Limited Edition

Today, I finally feel like blogging again! Yay! You may or may not have noticed the different background as well. I'm currently at my boyfriend's house so I had to use the given backgrounds... haha

Yesterday I received a package from p2 Cosmetics because Vanessa and I had taken part in a giveaway on Facebook a while ago. Last week we got a message saying that we won the complete limited edition 'Cosmopolitan Chic'! Her post will be up today as well if you want to check that out!

We didn't want to have a look at the collection before actually receiving the packages and when we opened them yesterday we were more than excited!

But now let's get on to the products of the 'Cosmopolitan Chic' LE! I haven't tried any of them yet because I want to do a 'First Impressions' post on these products soon but I didn't want to withhold you this beautiful collection!

Shades (left to right): 020 'Milan fashion', 030 'Berlin lifestyle', 010 'London chic'; 020 'silver expression', 010 'gold expression'
There are three go with the flow matte lip creams and two voyage fever lip toppers of which I have written you the shades below the photo!
I have really high expectations in these lip products and I'm also really excited to try them for the first time!

Next up, there are two over the top-coat nail polishes in the shades 010 'thrilling' and 020 'enticing', which look gorgeous and I can't wait to try them!
There's also a multi-functional travel balm which you can use as a body balm or as a lip balm.

Shades (left to right): 020 'Singapore', 040 'Bangkok', 030 'Tokyo', 010 'Hong Kong'
In the collection, there are also four kajal pencils, the explore asia chopstick kajal. I really like the idea of the packaging and the colours are cool as well!

Four other products of the 'Cosmopolitan Chic' are two always ready lips 2 cheeks balls in the shades 010 'cocktail party' and 020 'rooftop event'. I have read quite a bit about these 2 in 1 cheek and lip products which make me even more excited about trying the ones from p2!
There are also two pump up the glow eye blur pens in the shades 020 'champagne' and 010 'rosé', which look really gorgeous and I can't wait to try those either!

Colours (left to right): 030 'metropolis red', 040 'metropolis fuchsia', 050 'metropolis grey', 010 'metropolis nude', 020 'metropolis green'
These manicure on the go polish pens look really cool and I can't wait to try these for the first time. However, I have now read a few negative reviews about these but I will definitely try and see if I like them or not!

Shades (left to right): 010 'Madrid', 020 'Rome', 030 'Paris'
The last products from this limited edition are the three globetrotter's choice lipstick pens of which you can see the shades above! They look really pretty and very creamy as well - they remind me a bit of the ByTerry Rogue Expert Click Sticks actually and I really liked my one! Definitely looking forward to trying these for the first time!

So that's everything from this lovely 'Cosmopolitan Chic' collection from p2! Like I already mentioned about a thousand times, I'm beyond excited to try all the products and tell you more about them! I will review them here on the blog as well as on my Instagram, so make sure to check back very soon!

Brand Focus: Manhattan

You may or may not have noticed that there haven't been new posts here the past two days, but at the moment life just seems to fall apart a bit for me... :(

It's time again for another brand focus post today, this time featuring lots of goodies from Manhattan!

I'm also hoping to post a Boyfriend Does My Makeup including these products anytime soon but for now, it really doesn't seem like a good idea, knowing my boyfriend still doesn't understand the difference between a concealer and a foundation... *sigh*

At the moment, I'm also lacking the motivation to blog for some reason. I always try my very best yet it doesn't seem to be enough for my liking. Let's hope everything gets better after all the exams next week!

Now without further ado, let's just jump right into the post, shall we?

Manhattan hasn't really been a brand that caught my eye until fairly recently. I knew they existed and I once tried one of their mascaras and wasn't that satisfied with it so I somehow never got around to using any of their products again.
However, their latest products and also the way the brand is being presented in the drugstores these days definitely made me want to try out more of their makeup bits!

In my makeup collection, there are now quite a few new products from Manhattan, which were kindly sent to me for reviewing purposes and I will happily review most of them here on the blog or on my Instagram for you guys!
The products I currently own are the...

  • 3 in 1 Easy Match Make Up in 30 'Soft Porcelain'
  • Moisture Renew Lipstick in 800 'Fun Fuchsia'
  • Soft Mat Loose Powder in 2 'Beige'
  • Natural Bronzing Powder
  • Supreme Lash Colourist
  • Contouring Kit in 001 'St Tropez Glow'
  • Multi Effect Eyeshadow in 31K 'Peach of Paris'
  • Eyemazing Effect Eyeshadow in 'Top of the Taupe' 96D
  • Eyebrow Pencil in 'Blondy Brow' 93D
  • Good to Glow Lip Colour Intensifier in 100 'My Own Pink' (not in the photo)

I have tried all of them so far and I'm very happy with the products. Not only does the packaging look almost 100% like some of the Rimmel packagings as you can tell, but also the formula of the foundation, for example, reminds me a bit of the Match Perfection Foundation!

I will definitely keep you guys updated on my favourites from this brand! :)

What product would you like me to post a review about soon? Let me know in the comments down below! x

Maybelline Super Stay 24H Foundation

There are quite a few reviews here on the blog recently, eh? But there are so many great products out there at the moment that I just have to show you guys and see what you think about them!

Today I want to review the Maybelline Super Stay 24H Foundation in the shade 003 True Ivory. I got this a few weeks ago at Müller - I actually wanted to get my hands on the L'Oreal True Match Foundation, hoping that they'd finally have my shade but they didn't so I got this one instead!
My cousin Yasmin told me that this foundation is a good one as well so I trusted her knowledge and purchased it! I'm currently trying to restock my makeup collection anyway so every new piece of makeup that has been recommended to me will find a new place in my collection!

Let's talk about the packaging first because that's the thing that caught my eye when I used the foundation for the first time.
The pump and the clear cap on the pump are made of plastic, which is typical for most drugstore foundations. However, this pump and the cap both feel like the cheapest material ever! I'm always a bit scared that when I take off the cap, the pump will just break off as well!

The good thing about this foundation, though, is the product itself, which is definitely more important than the packaging, isn't it?
The foundation has a light to medium coverage and is best to apply with a damp beauty sponge. I always use one pump on my each of my cheeks, one on my forehead and one on both my nose and my chin - that way I find it the easiest to blend with a sponge and it looks the most natural. The shade I picked up is also great for my skin tone at the moment which makes it look even better!

The finish of the Maybelline Super Stay Foundation looks quite natural as well as it's not too glowy but not too matte either - it's a good mixture of both. On the skin, it doesn't feel like makeup either. It's very lightweight and looks just like my skin; when applied properly!

I can't confirm that this foundation stays on your face for twenty-four hours, though. It lasted me well throughout the day but after seven to eight hours it started to come off in a few areas on my face. It also started to crease around my nose and around the corners of my mouth, which I normally just hate, but it didn't look too bad, considering it looked perfectly fine before.

Overall I'm really satisfied with this foundation and I'm very glad I was recommended this! It's a great everyday foundation with a very natural looking finish and it also lasts really well - definitely not twenty-four hours, though, but still long enough to get you through the day!

Have you tried this foundation yet? x

Samaya Anti-Ageing Cream Vata

Skincare has become another big category on my blog recently. I never thought that I'd blog about things like moisturisers, serums, facial oils or whatsoever in any of my posts or even write up posts dedicated to such products only.

The brand SAMAYA has been featured on my blog a few times now and it's fast become one of my favourite skincare brands; especially with their three different Dosha ranges. Everyone, who wants to try out their products, should take a little 'test' where you're assigned one of the three Doshas: Vata, Pitta or Kapha. My Dosha normally is Pitta but I was very kindly sent the Anti-Ageing Cream from the Vata range a few weeks ago to try and see if I liked that one as well!

The Pitta range is lovely from what I have tried so far (the cleanser and the anti-ageing oil) but I just don't like the smell at all! And because I mentioned that in the last post about a SAMAYA product and the lovely girls from the PR team read that, they thought I might like the smell of the Vata range better. It was said to smell like roses so of course, I liked the sound of that!

When I used the cream for the first time, I tested the smell first. And it smells SO good! It does smell like roses and makes applying the cream so much more comfortable!

I always use the cream in the morning and in the evening before applying a primer or after cleansing my face with the PIXI Glow Tonic. Because of the pump on top, it's very easy to get the right amount of product to apply to your face.

Another thing that I really like about the Vata cream is the consistency. It's very light and not sticky at all. It also absorbs very quickly when it's on the skin, leaving you with a very fresh and soft feeling.

The packaging of the SAMAYA products, in general, is also very lovely, just thought I'd mention that here as well! It's very simple yet very pretty and looks lovely on my dressing table!

What do you think about this cream? Do you like the sound of it? x

Miabox April 2017

💮Happy May Day!💮
I can't believe it's May already - where have the past four months gone to?! But oh well... I thought I would share the contents of the latest Miabox* with you on the blog today! It's the one from April and its theme was 'DIVA'.

In each Miabox, there are five different beauty products that match the months' chosen theme and a little card with some additional information about each of the products.
In last months' box, there were the five products that you can see in the image above.

  • Maurice Body 'N' Care Crackling Spray 125 ml (€17.50)
  • Phyris UV Add On SPF 30 Serum 50 ml (€24.90)
  • Badefee Body Butter 100 ml (€9.80)
  • Être Belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll-O 10 ml (€19.95)
  • Callusan Hydro Foam 125 ml (€9.90)

In my case, I had five skincare products in the box, which I'm definitely not complaining about! I wish there would have been a little makeup product in there as well, though, but maybe next time!

That's the exciting thing about these beauty boxes; you never know what you get!

When I opened the Miabox – which was my first one ever, by the way! – I was pleasantly surprised that the products were all full sized!

Oh, and there was also a Baileys Iced Coffee Latte in the box, which I immediately passed on to my boyfriend – most of you might know that I don't drink alcohol so I didn't think it was necessary to include it in the photo for this post.
However, I thought it was worth mentioning because the coffee wasn't an official part of last months' box!

I'm already really excited for the next Miabox and its theme for the month! I will keep you guys updated on all the products and on the next box as well of course!

What do you think about the contents of the Miabox from April? Do you like them so far? x
