Pink Box July 2017

I can't believe it's the end of July already! This month I received the last of three Pink Boxes I signed up for and this one is definitely my favourite!

The July box was a special edition with Grazia, which I really like, especially because of the design of the box itself!
Again, there were five products in total in this box, which I can't wait to try and show you guys! Some of these products will then probably show up in some upcoming posts anytime soon!

So the products I got are the...

  • Kiss Blooming Lash Set in 'Tulip'
  • Schaebens Multi Masking 3 in 1
  • Garnier Fructis Shampoo
  • Real Techniques Shading Brush
  • O.P.I Nail Lacquer in 'Two-Timing The Zones'

I have tried my best to use the Collective widget for the first time in a blog post today and I used either the exact products or very similar ones for the ones mentioned above, given the brand is available on Collective!

What do you think about the July box? x

€30 Highstreet Challenge With Angels Beauty Corner

Last month, I already did a Highstreet Challenge with my friend Vanessa here on the blog and we got each other some amazing bits!

This time I teamed up with my cousin Yasmin from Angels Beauty Corner to do the same: we set a budget of again €30 and had 14 categories in total.

Like in the other post I will write down the categories we had and put the product right next to it so you can see what she got me!

"Get something...":
1. for school/work - Lacy Pencil Case (so cute!)

2. with a pretty packaging - Catrice Gradiation Blush in C02 'Berry Bow'

3. for skincare - Balea Peel-Off Mask + Garnier Aqua Mask

4. to relax - Fruit & Lemongrass Tea

5. from your holiday - Messinian Spa Set

6. that's an all-rounder - Balea Hand Lotion 'Melon Berry'

7. for the blog - Balea BB Cream + Garnier BB Cream both in 'Light'

8. from your everyday makeup routine - Manhattan Eyemazing Double Effect Eyeshadow & Liner in 002 'Molten Metal'

9. for €1 - t by tetesept 'Hallo Glรผckstag' Shower Gel

10. decorative - Profissimo Candle

11. from your favourite brand - Essence My Must Haves Palette

12. for Summer - Balea Aqua Spray

13. a scent from the drugstore - O-Twist Vanilla Kiss

14. the other should try -  Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid in 'Light/Iridiscent'

I'm already in love with a few of these products and I can't wait to try the other bits as well! She really did a great job and I can't wait to do many more of these Highstreet Challenges with other people!

Maybe you're interested in doing one! If so just let me know! x

July Favourites

I really can't believe another month is already over!? Like, how did that happen?!

This also means that it's yet time for another monthly favourites post, though! These posts are always fun to write and I'd go as far as saying they're my favourite to write and to read!

I'd say we should dive right into this, shall we?

The first thing I want to mention is one of the Body Fantasies Body Sprays, which I just recently talked about here on the blog! Japanese Cherry Blossom has been my go-to scent this month and I basically can't stop spraying it, ha!

Next up, there are two skincare items that I've been loving throughout July, which are the Caudalie Elixir de Beautรฉ and the Skin Chemists Rose Quartz Hydrating & Illuminating Day Moisturiser*! These are absolutely amazing and I just can't stop using them in my daily skincare routine; I will update you guys on my newest routine very soon as well so stay tuned for that!

I also have another lip balm in this month's favourites post, which is not my usual Labello. This time it's the Cosnature Red Fruit Lip Balm*. It not only makes my lips soft and feel amazing, it also smells great, which you guys know is always a huge bonus for me!

The only makeup item in this month's post is the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NC15, which I only recently mentioned for the first time here on my blog in my Collective Beauty Haul + First Impressions. I've never fallen in love with a makeup item as quickly as with this concealer! It's simply amazing! If you would like to see a full review just let me know in the comments down below!

The last two things I want to talk about are my Fan Brush from Ebelin, which I've been using almost every day for applying my highlighter and the Mini Concealer Sponges from Rossmann, which I just absolutely love!

These aren't many favourites but I do love every single product a lot and I'm really looking forward to writing next month's post already!

What have you been loving throughout July? x

Multi-Masking 101 With L'Oreal

Before I got the chance to try this new Multi-Masking Mini Set* from L'Oreal, I never really gave multi-masking a go. I thought it was just too much work and thought it wouldn't really work on my skin as well.

However, now that I've tried this, I think that multi-masking is actually SO much fun and it really has made a difference on my skin!

This set contains three 10 ml pots of the Pure Clay Masks, which allows you to try them out and get into multi-masking in the first place!

I like to use this once to twice a week on bare and cleansed skin: I start with the Detox Mask, which is the black one, and put that all over my nose. I like to apply these with my fingers, by the way as I think it's easier than applying them with a brush.
The next mask I use in my little routine is the Glow Mask, the red one, which I put on both my cheeks. This mask really helps my skin clear up and reduce any blemishes and it has made applying makeup a lot more fun, to be honest!
The Purify Mask, the green one, is the last one in this routine and I put that on my forehead and on my chin to reduce the risk of getting oily and to overall just clear up those areas as well.
I then leave them on for about 10 to 15 minutes and rinse them off with lukewarm water afterwards.

This mini set has really convinced me to try more multi-masking sets and to try different combinations as well! Like I said, it's actually so much fun and I really enjoy doing it! ๐Ÿ˜Š The only thing I don't like about this set is the little pots the masks come in as you can't close them after using the mask. 10 ml are way too much for one go but you can't close the lid anymore after you've torn it open, which is quite annoying.

But so far, multi-masking has definitely become my thing and I really like it!

Have you tried multi-masking before? x

Let's Talk: Hair Removal

Hair removal. Probably one of the most stressful things women have to think about. At least I find it to be a bit stressful and just annoying to always think about shaving my legs and whatnot. Because we're all honest here on this blog, I won't hesitate to state my opinion on this topic today. I personally like to shave everything there is to shave, basically haha

Apart from my head, my brows and my lashes, I hate having hair on any other part of my body, which is why hair removal is quite important to me. I don't know why that is but I just feel a lot better when I know I'm all fresh and shaved, especially when I've just put clean sheets on the bed - best feeling everrr!!

But now on to the products and gadgets I use for making my legs, arms etc. feeling as soft as a baby's bottom!

Until now I've probably tried almost every hair removal method there is to do at home. Wax strips, shaving, hair removal cream and epilating. I always go back to shaving, though, for which I currently use the M. Lady Mini* and the M.Lady Oil*. It's an amazing combination that leaves the skin soft and smooth for days before the hair slowly grows back!

Sometimes I do like to use my Epilator from Rossmann, but it really is painful. As well as with the epilator, I use the Balea Hair Removal Cream sometimes, when I'm in a rush or when I just don't feel like shaving. It's the most chemical thing to put on your legs just because you want them to be hairless, but it works very well and it's easy and fast too.

However, I still find shaving the easiest and best method. After shaving I always like to use the Orange Blue Cosmetics Skin Softening Body Lotion, which makes my skin even softer!

This post was quite interesting to write actually and I would love to do more of these "Let's Talk" posts, so let me know which topics you would like to see here on the blog! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Which hair removal method works best for you? x

Summer Scents With Body Fantasies

I only recently got the chance to work with the amazing brand Body Fantasies, which I've heard quite a bit about before but somehow I never got into anything more but looking at their website!

Now I've tried four of their Fragrance Body Sprays, which I will list you down below with all the notes and how I like them!

Sparkling Pink Grapefruit*
  • Top notes: Pink Grapefruit, Jeweled Pomegranate
  • Heart notes: Jasmine, Rose Water, Lotus Flower
  • Base notes: White Musk, Sheer Vanilla
This is one of my two favourites out of this little collection and it's definitely my go-to summer scent this year! It smells very fresh and it somehow makes me feel so much better every time I spritz this on! It's amazing!

Pink Vanilla Kiss Fantasy*
  • Top Notes: Grapefruit, Rhubarb, Coconut Milk
  • Heart Notes: Pink Vanilla, Cyclamen, Peony
  • Base Notes: Tahitian Vanilla, Sandalwood, Caramel
I must admit that this one is my least favourite out of these four... It smells amazing as well but it's just a bit too sweet for my liking.

Japanese Cherry Blossom*
  • Top Notes: Raspberry, Pear, Plum
  • Heart Notes: Cherry Blossom, Rose, Jasmine
  • Base Notes: Creamy Vanilla, Sandalwood, Musk
Definitely my number one favourite! It smells fresh but also sweet, which is an amazing combination! I always spritz this on whenever I'm heading to my boyfriends' for the day; he really likes the scent as well and he's usually very picky when it comes to scents!

Twilight Mist*
  • Top Notes: Mandarin, Coconut, Fresh Plum
  • Heart Notes: Magnolia, Tiger Orchid, Violet
  • Base Notes: Sandalwood, Creamy Musk, Tonka Bean
This one is a bit heavier than the other scents, in my opinion, and that was also the reason why I gave this to my mum the minute I took this photo! She absolutely adores the scent of this one and is so happy that I gave this to her instead!

I just saw that there are seven other sprays on their website and I definitely have to buy a few more of these: Fresh White Musk, Romance & Dreams, Sweet Sunrise Fantasy, Pink Sweet Pea Fantasy, Vanilla, Kissing In The Rain and Cotton Candy; they all sound amazing, don't they?!

I'm more than happy that I got the chance to try these and I will definitely try and get my hands on a few more of these very soon!

The Internet Made Me Buy It

It's currently 12:38 and I'm just writing this post now... I feel so bad because I completely forgot about this but oh well.

Just like with my recent Ride or Die Makeup Tag, today's post is one I've been wanting to publish for a while now.

Due to the many hours I've spent on the internet since discovering it, I have made quite a few purchased in terms of makeup, beauty and skincare. And today I want to share just a few of those products with you guys!

First things first, I want to start with some skincare bits, which are the PIXI Glow Tonic and the Caudalie Eau De Beautรฉ. Both are two incredible skincare items that have been in my everyday skincare routine since I got them. The spray from Caudalie is one of the newest additions but I'm already in love with that one! On the Glow Tonic, I posted a review a while back if you want to go check that out!

The other products that the internet convinced me to buy are only some makeup bits, which I use almost daily and I love all of them - duh, otherwise I wouldn't talk about them in this post...

The first thing is the Makeup Revolution Glow Palette, which is said to be an amazing dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury palette! I love the pigmentation, the colour payoff and the texture of this little duo and it's just everything I've been looking for in a glow kit!

I also have two concealers in here, which have already made a few appearances on my blog recently: the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I knew it was just a matter of time until I'd get these two concealers and so far I don't regret my decision!

Two base products have also made their way into this post and both are just amazing! The first one is the It Cosmetics CC Cream - absolute favourite! - and the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, which also has become a part of my daily makeup routine as it is the best primer I've tried so far!

The last three items that the internet made me buy are my beloved and well used MAC Velvet Teddy, the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Birthday Suit Eye Palette and the Mary-Lou Manizer. I actually love all of these so much that I already did a post on each of these!

As you can tell the internet made me buy quite a few products and I'm really glad I got the chance to try them that way! I've found some favourites and some amazing products that way and I'm really looking forward to discovering a few more!

Which products have you bought because you saw them online? x

Collective Beauty Haul + First Impressions

Ahh and there's yet another beauty and makeup haul... ๐Ÿ™„ This time I do regret it a bit, spending that money on makeup instead of spending it on some bits and bobs for my flat. I don't actually have a flat yet but you can never start early enough with buying some pieces for your kitchen or bathroom, right?

I placed three orders on BeautylishFeelunique and on Douglas, which are three amazing websites for getting beauty and skincare stuff, makeup, fragrances and basically everything else beauty related.

Starting with the 'smallest' order, which I placed on Beautylish, where I got the It Cosmetics CC Cream in the shade 'Fair'. I have used it quite a lot already, just like most of the other products as well, and I freaking love it! Now I can totally agree and relate to everyone else who keeps talking about this CC cream. I have recently seen Victoria from Inthefrow talking about this product and she absolutely adores this as well so I thought I should give it a try myself! Turns out, it's the best 'base product' I have ever used so far!

The next order I placed was the one on Douglas, where I got the most products actually! I got three samples, of which I have tried two already and I love them! The samples I got where the Lancรดme Monsieur Big Mascara, the Benefit Ka Brow! in the shade 3 and the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Moisturiser, which I haven't tried yet. But both the mascara and the brow cream-gel are amazing!
As for the products I got myself I want to start with my absolute favourite out of all the new makeup products I got! It's the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade 'NC15' and oh my God, this concealer is incredible! The shade matches my skin tone perfectly, it's super easy and comfortable to blend and it stays put all day long - I think I've found my new concealer-love! ๐Ÿ˜
I also got another concealer just because I've been wanting to try it for quite some time: the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in the shade 'Fair Neutral'. I'm not so sure with that one yet but I'll definitely have to give it a few more tries before stating my final opinion on it!
The last two bits I got from Douglas are the MAC Fix + Skin Refresher / Finishing Mist - absolutely love that as well already - and the Benefit Hoola Lite Bronzer.
However, I think the 'normal' Hoola Bronzer would've been a tad better for me actually because the Lite version is a lot warmer in terms of colour and undertone, which can make my skin look really weird but when you blend it well it does look great on fair skin too.

The third and final order I placed was the one on Feelunique, which is one of my favourite websites to shop for makeup and beauty products! On there I also got a sample, this time I got the Giorgio Armani Sky di Gioia Eau de Parfum and it smells absolutely amazing!
The first products I got myself are two bits from NARS: the Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Light 1 'Chantilly' and the Eyeshadow Duo in the shade 'All About Eve'. I'm not so sure on this concealer either, just like with the Urban Decay one I mentioned before, but like I said with that one as well, I do have to give this a few more tries before deciding whether I love it or not. The eyeshadow duo is simply stunning, though! It's very well pigmented and the shades are SO pretty! It's perfect for using it every day and the sleek packaging makes it even prettier, ha!
The last two items I got are the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Enchanted Dreams Eye Palette, which you already know I love everything about, and the Caudalie Eau De Beautรฉ, which I've been wanting to try for such a long time already and now that I've got it, I kind of regret not having purchased this sooner!

As you can see I spent quite a bit of money on makeup and beauty again... But I'm in love with almost everything already and I will make sure to keep you guys updated on most of the products with a few posts and reviews if you'd like! ๐Ÿ˜Š

London Haul

Last week, I already uploaded a London Beauty Haul and I thought it's worth mentioning the other bits I got in another post as well! So today it's a London Haul with some fashion and other pieces thrown together! ๐Ÿ˜Š

The very first thing I got was this cute mug from the Westminster Abbey Shop! I just love it so much and I especially like drinking my Cadbury Hot Chocolate from it, which I bought in London as well!

Next up, there are two pieces from the Harry Potter Shop at Kingscross, which is probably one of my favourite places ever! Although there were SO many people, we managed to get me a hoodie - extremely comfortable and warm - and a Golden Snitch Necklace, which is so pretty, I love it! Thanks to my lovely boyfriend who got me the necklace! ๐Ÿ˜˜

The last two pieces I got are from Tommy Hilfiger and I never thought I'd spend so much money on a bag, to be honest! I needed a new bag while we were in London as my old one literally fell apart and since I also need a bag for my job, I thought I can invest a bit more this time and get one that lasts me a bit longer!
So I got this white-navy striped one with the red inside and the golden logo on the front. It fits so much stuff in there and is very comfortable to carry as well!
I also got the new Tommy Jeans Shirt in white and I love it! I've wanted to get one of these for so long and in London, I finally had the chance to buy one!

Again, it's not much that I got but it did cost a bit more than I would usually spend on things other than makeup! haha

Have you treated yourself to anything new recently? x

Things I Do To Feel Better #2

I currently have a really bad headache and I don't feel too well at all so I'll try my best to write this post as quickly as I can...

So without further ado, I think we should just hop right into it, shall we?

Take pictures
It's not the first thing I consider doing when I'm not feeling my best but it's definitely something I do regularly. And it's not only to make me feel better but also to keep the posts on my blog up and going!

Drink tea
Apart from taking pictures, drinking tea is my favourite thing to do - not only when I'm not feeling that well but also almost every night before going to bed. It just makes me feel a lot better knowing I've had my cup of tea before sleeping.

Eat some sweets
Some sugar helps a lot, especially when I'm feeling down. Most of the time I eat chocolate or cookies and feel better almost immediately. Sometimes sweets really do help a lot when you don't feel too well.

Listen to music
Music is always a good way to calm down and relax a bit. I always search for a nice playlist on Spotify to improve my mood and either just lay in bed and listen to some songs from it or I'll sing along and tidy around my room.

What are you guys doing regularly to feel better? x

All About Yoins

Happy Sunday, lovelies! I hope you all have had a lovely day so far!

Today, I want to talk to you about the fashion website I only recently got introduced to. I'm talking about Yoins, which is an incredible website to find loads of cute tops for women, shoes, bags or anything else that you'd like! Fashion cute tops online for women are the first set of keywords they use on their website to describe it. You should definitely check out their tops section as they have loads of cute stuff on there!

I'm currently eyeing a few of their dresses as well, which all look amazing and I seriously can't wait to place my first order there! Some dresses they have are quite sexy, though... Definitely too sexy for my liking and so out of my comfort zone but if I could pull those off I'd give them a try for sure! Haha But all those floral ones are right up my street at the moment, as well as the tops and bottoms they have! The second set of keywords is fashion sexy dresses online for women, which fits in this part of the post very well and their dress section is definitely my favourite!

I would love to change up my wardrobe very soon and Yoins seems like the perfect website to do this with! Especially with all their cute tops and dresses... I'm in love! haha

I only just saw that they have an activewear section as well, which I'm really excited about, to be honest! My motivation for working out is lacking a lot at the moment and I think some new work out clothes would definitely be a worthwhile investment! I've already found a few bits and bobs, such as a couple pairs of leggings, tops and sports bras!

I'm not only recommending Yoins because I've teamed up with them but because their website is just amazing and they have so many great pieces! You should definitely have a look yourself! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I had been planning this post for quite a while now and today's finally the day where I'm happy with everything and can publish it for you guys to read! ๐Ÿ˜Š

This is kind of a list with 10 products from various different beauty categories and all of the products are all under €10. London Beauty Haul

I already talked about our week in London on Monday and of course, we did some shopping there as well! To be honest, I thought I would buy a lot more makeup and beauty stuff, but surprisingly I didn't buy that much!

Starting off with the product that I actually didn't plan on buying in London: the Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes. I had brought some with me, but those were the worst facial wipes I have ever used so I had to get new ones. These were the ones that caught my eye at Tesco so I just bought them. Turns out, they're amazing!! I love them so much and kind of regret it now that I only got one pack of them, ha!

Next up, there are two items from Benefit: that I got: the Roller Lash Mascara - a long-time favourite of mine - and the mini version of the Porefessional Primer, which I haven't tried yet, but I'm really looking forward to doing so!

Another mini version I got is the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer because I had seen so many good reviews and videos about this primer that I just had to give it a try as well!

And the last item that I got is the Archery Brow Pencil from Soap & Glory and I have no idea what the name or the number of the shade is that I picked up... But I gave this a little try already and the shade matches my hair colour perfectly so that's fine!

I'm really looking forward to trying both the primers and giving you a little review on them here on the blog very soon!

What have you bought recently? x

Pink Box June 2017

Last month, there was a special offer to get two Pink Boxes for the price of one. Pink Box is a German beauty subscription box for €14.95, including five different beauty products and a magazine each month.

I normally don't subscribe to these beauty boxes because I sadly don't have enough money for that each month but last month I thought I'd treat myself to one of them! In my case, there were actually two so I was even more excited to see what was going to be inside!

The items in the first box are:
  • Palmolive Coconut Joy Body Butter Creme Shower Gel
  • Happy Brush Super Mint Toothpaste
  • Twist Lipstick
  • NYC Show Time Velvet Eyeliner
  • Luvos SOS Detox Face Mask

And the items in the second box are:
  • John Frieda Luxurious Volume Inner Power Shampoo, Conditioner & Serum
  • Burts Bee's Lipstick
  • Schaebens Strawberry Face Mask
  • Anatomicals Deep Conditioning Hair Pack

In the second box, there was also a Perfume, but I didn't really like that one so I passed it on to my mum and she loves it!

I haven't really tried and tested anything from both the boxes yet but I'm looking forward to trying everything and telling you a bit more about all the products!

Tarte Haul Update

I'm currently in process of visiting loads of flats in Berlin and it's just crazy! The qualifications some people want you to have are ridiculous and I really hope I'll find one by the end of the week...

For today's post, I thought I'd update you guys on the products from Tarte that I got in my recent Tarte Haul.

I just want to start right away and mention the first product, which is the Shape Tape Concealer in the shade 'Fair Neutral'.
When I first used this, I didn't understand the hype about this product at all. I didn't really like it, I thought the shade was too light for me, which rarely ever happens, and it just didn't satisfy me. However, I gave this many more tries afterwards and now I love it!!
I think the 'secret' to this concealer is that you have to be very careful with how much you use and to use a damp makeup sponge for blending it. The shade actually is perfect for my skin tone and I'm so glad I picked this up and tried it a couple more times before stating an opinion on it!

The next product that I want to mention is the Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette. This had me satisfied from the very first moment and I'm so glad I picked this up as well! The pigmentation is incredible, the shades are super easy to blend and look beautiful when applied and in the palette as well, of course! The only thing I don't like about this palette is the amount of fallout the darker shades have but I can live with that to be fair.

Continuing with the last item from my haul that I really like: the Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick in the shade 'Siesta', which still reminds me a lot of my beloved Velvet Teddy from MAC! This as well has become one of my go-to everyday lipsticks and I absolutely love the way it feels and looks on the lips and the packaging is stunning as well! However, I don't think it's necessary to pick this one up if you already own Velvet Teddy.

So now on to the very last product from my Tarte Haul, which is also the product I really don't like that much. It's the Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara. I'm really sad that this doesn't work on my lashes, at all! It lengthens and separates them well, though, there's no volume, no curl whatsoever. They just look flat and not very pretty. Like I said in that haul, I'm very picky with mascaras and this one sadly didn't convince me...

As you can tell, I'm really enjoying most of my products from Tarte and I'm looking forward to trying a few more of their products!

What's your favourite from Tarte? x

London

I can't quite believe it's been a week since we got back from our trip to London! Those nine days were just SO good and I really want to go back again anytime soon! I'm just so in love with that city, it always feels like my second hometown!

My boyfriend and I flew with Ryanair from Hamburg Airport to London Stansted on Saturday the 24th at around six in the evening and arrived at almost the same time in London, I believe.

At the airport, we got a bit lost and had to look for the coach to bring us to Liverpool Street but we eventually found everything and arrived at our AirBnB room in Whitechapel, which was incredible! The hosts were so lovely and welcoming and I immediately felt at home!

Throughout the week, we basically saw and visited everything that was on our list, which wasn't that much because we both had been to London before.

But there was also one extraordinary experience for the two of us - it was my boyfriends birthday on the 29th of June, which was a Thursday, and since he really likes Palace and Supreme and all those hyped up brands, I promised him to queue up with him for the weekly Supreme drop (worst idea I ever had!). But in the end, he eventually got the stuff he wanted and was happy with how the day had turned out. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’–

It's been such a lovely week, the weather was great and we had the best time together! I'm looking forward to so many more holidays with him! ๐Ÿ˜

Manhattan 3 in 1 Easy Match Foundation & Concealer

I hope you all have had a lovely Sunday so far! I've been cleaning and tidying and packing stuff all day long and I actually enjoy it! haha
It's still quite a bit unreal to think about moving out next month... There was once a time where I said that there are still seven more years to go until I can move back to Berlin - time flies!?

In today's post, however, I don't want to talk to you about moving out or packing boxes. Today, it's all about this lovely makeup and concealer duo from Manhattan Cosmetics: the 3 in 1 Easy Match Foundation and Concealer. The foundation, I got in the shade 30 'Soft Porcelain' and the concealer, I got in the shade 10 'Porcelain'. They're both the lightest shades from their range, which was obvious, wasn't it? I'm just so pale all year round that no matter the season, I always go for the lightest shades! Which would make it so easy for my boyfriend to buy makeup for me... Just a little hint for him there, in case he reads this, ha! ๐Ÿ˜œ

But let's go on with the foundation now first. It has a very lightweight texture and also feels that way when applied to the face. I like to use a damp makeup sponge for applying the foundation - and the concealer as well - as I find it to look the most natural that way, just like with lots of other foundations and concealers I've been using lately.
This foundation also has a very light and fresh scent to it, which I really like as it is not too strong. I would say this has a light to medium coverage, which is just the coverage I'm looking for at the moment: nothing too heavy but just good enough to cover any blemishes or imperfections on the skin.

The matching concealer comes with a brush applicator underneath the cap, which, again, makes it look exactly like a product from Rimmel; the Match Perfection Concealer just like this one! I recently did a whole post about some bits I got from Manhattan Cosmetics and there are so many products that look exactly the same!
The concealer also has that same light and fresh scent and also has a very creamy texture that makes it quite comfortable and easy to blend with a makeup sponge. The coverage of this is medium, I'd say, but it's definitely buildable - I like to use this underneath my eyes and on any blemishes or spots that I have and it always looks good!

Of course, you can use these two products in combination with any other products as well, however, I find them to work best together.

What's your go-to foundation and concealer duo at the moment? x

3 Sunscreens Worth The Try

Today's blog post actually fits in with the weather for once! It's SO hot at the moment, I'm basically melting in my room with about 28°C in here!? Sometimes I just wish we had a pool in our garden... *sigh*

Anyway! As you can read by the title, this post is all about the three sunscreens that I think are worth trying. My skin, especially my face, is very sensitive when it comes to the sunshine and these hot temperatures. So I usually tend to go for a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, just to make sure my skin is protected enough.

However, I recently read an article about choosing the right sunscreens from different brands and that article said that everything higher than SPF of 30 doesn't really work anymore? I'm not sure if that's true or not but since reading that I make sure to not use anything over SPF 30.

So let's start with the sunscreens I have here now, shall we?

Green People Scent Free Sun Lotion SPF 30*
This is the only sunscreen I'm currently using for my arms, legs and basically for the rest of my body whenever I'm going out into direct sunlight. The thing I like about this is that it's scent free and great for sensitive skin. You only need a tiny amount of this and it also absorbs very quickly, which is always a plus for a sunscreen! It doesn't leave the skin greasy or sticky at all so it's quite comfortable to apply. There's also a matching Hydrating After Sun Moisturiser for Sensitive Skin, which I absolutely adore! It's very cooling on the skin and feels amazing after a day out in the sun!

Dr Rimpler Sun Face Cream SPF 30*
I had already seen quite a few products from Dr Rimpler before I got the chance to try this in my most recent Blogger Club Box. It's a sunscreen for the face only, which was quite interesting to me as most other sunscreens focus on the whole body, face included, while as this product focuses on the face only. As I mentioned before I want to focus on my face as well when it comes to protecting my skin from the sun. Some of you may know by now that I have a form of Rosacea on my nose and especially during Summer I try my best to keep it out of the sun or to protect it as well as possible. And with this sunscreen for the face, it's gotten so much simpler to do exactly that!

Phyris Specials UV Add On SPF 30 Serum*
In April, I got the chance to try my first ever Miabox, which I did a whole post about, and this UV Add On was included as well. I always apply this right before applying the Dr Rimpler Face Cream - serum before cream, that's the way I like to keep it with my skincare, also with my sunscreens. This doesn't feel greasy or sticky on the skin either but it makes it feel more protected and somehow safe. It's probably just my mind telling me to feel good because I applied some sunscreen but it does make a difference to me whether I'm just using this serum, just the face cream or both. I find both to be the perfect combination for my skin type at the moment.

So these are the three sunscreens I'm using at the moment and I'm really happy I got the chance to try them! I do have two or three other sunscreens from the drugstore but they just don't work as good for me as these three do.

How do you protect your skin during Summer? x

Hottest & Most Popular Cosmetic Skin Treatments - Guest Post by Diana Smith

Who doesn't want to have perfect skin? When we're young, we struggle with acne and blemishes, but when we get older and stop worrying about acne, we start getting fine lines and wrinkles instead. Everyone has skin imperfections: acne, acne scars, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles but that doesn't mean that you have to get used to them, Luckily, today we're able to get wonderful cosmetic treatments which can help improve the look and feel of our skin. They might be less invasive than surgery, but they are effective nonetheless.

Chemical peel
A popular treatment is a chemical peel, which is a technique for facial skin care where a chemical solution is applied to the skin of your face. After the treatment, you will look younger because that chemical peel will remove the skin's top layers. By doing this, you will also remove the most prominent effects of ageing: sun damage, uneven pigmentation and wrinkles. You can get a light peel and it will your skin a fresher look or a stronger peel which will remove the skin to a greater depth to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

Laser skin resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is a procedure which will remove the outer layers of the skin on your face which are damaged or unevenly pigmented. Asides from removing the damaged skin, the procedure will also stimulate the production of new skin cells and collagen in the deeper layers of your skin. The best thing is that it's not limited to the skin of your face alone: you can also use this procedure to eliminate or reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on your neck. You will get fresher and smoother skin and your complexion will be more evenly colored than before.

Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion is a surgical procedure used to treat a variety of scars and wrinkles and to encourage new skin growth. The doctors give you a local anaesthetic to numb the skin and use a wire brush or a device such as a diamond-tipped wand to scrape away the top layer of your skin. Depending on how serious your problem is, the doctor will decide how deep the procedure will be. For about two weeks, your skin will be swollen and red and there might be some burning and pain once the local anaesthetic wears off. If you have deep scars or wrinkles, you might need several treatments to get the results you want.

Permanent makeup
Once finished with the facial rejuvenation treatments, many women turn to permanent makeup. By choosing permanent makeup, you will not have to apply and remove it every day. This is also called micro-pigmentation or cosmetic tattooing and it will allow you to enhance your facial appearance without having to apply it every morning or even buy new makeup. This is a great solution for those who often work out and swim or cannot wear cosmetics due to allergies.

Tattoo removal
Removing old tattoos can be stressful because some tattoos simply don't age well, causing the ink to look smudgy or lose color. In order to remove the tattoo, the ink has to be 'taken out' of the deeper layers of skin and this is done with powerful lasers. Tattoo removal in Parramatta will allow you to get rid of your old tattoos you don't like anymore - badly tattooed eyebrows, for example. Keep in mind that the process takes at least six weeks in order to be successful.

Luckily for us, modern technology has allowed us to reverse the effects of ageing on the skin. It doesn't matter if the are caused by heredity, lifestyle or environmental factors, but they are no longer permanent. Sadly, we haven't found the cure for ageing yet, but we have found ways to make ourselves look as young as we feel.

Terra Naturi Beauty Perfection Collection

Yesterday night we got back from London and I'm sad but also happy that we're back home. I had quite a few packages waiting for me and I was so excited to open them - I love getting new stuff! ๐Ÿ˜ Be prepared for a few collective hauls on Lilies Beauty very soon, ha!

But in this post, I want to talk about the Terra Naturi Beauty Perfection Collection*, including an eye cream, a serum and a moisturiser!
Every product from the Beauty Perfection range contains microalgal and peony extracts and promises a glowy and healthy looking complexion when used regularly.

When I opened the box this set came in, I was very excited to see that there was also an eye cream - I've been looking for an eye cream for quite some time now but I just can't seem to find one that works for my very sensitive eye area! This one, however, doesn't irritate the area around my eyes or makes my eyes burn, which was the reason why I stopped using most eyes creams. It also makes me look more awake when used in the morning and soothes my eyes when used in the evening.

After the eye cream, I always use the serum. The serum feels very lightweight on the skin and has very tiny bits of shimmer in it, which can't be seen on the skin at all. However, these bits of shimmer instantly leave the skin looking more glowy and healthy, plus it smells really nice and natural too.

The last product, which is the moisturiser, is also my favourite out of this collection! It is the third step in my Beauty Perfection routine and it gives just the right amount of finishing touches to my face! Not only does it look SO glowy and dewy and healthy after using this, it also feels incredibly soft and makes applying makeup so much more fun, in my opinion! Just as the serum, the moisturiser sinks into the skin very quickly and smells quite nice and natural.
And you really don't have to use much of these products either, which makes them last way longer as well!

Overall, I'm really liking this Beauty Perfection Collection from Terra Naturi so far and I will definitely continue to use it daily - apart from the eye cream, I use these products only in the morning to get that daily glow on!

This collection is available at Mรผller only, which is a German drugstore but I'm sure you could get this on the internet as well! ๐Ÿ˜Š

How do you like the sound of this skincare collection? x

Current YouTube Faves

It's the last day in London for us today and I'm really sad about it... ๐Ÿ˜ญ But prepare yourselves for several post titles including the word "London" in the next few weeks because I have everything planned already, ha!

Today's post, however, is a little rundown of all the YouTubers I like to watch at the moment. Of course, Zoella and PointlessBlog are part of this list as well but I really don't have to mention that again here on my blog, I suppose - you all know I love them!

Tati / GlamLifeGuru
She's definitely my favourite at the moment! Tati is such a sweet and lovely person and her videos are always interesting to watch! She uploads a video almost every single day and I really admire her for that! I really hope she continues uploading videos to her channel until she gets old and wrinkly - I'm sure she could still pull off those classic makeup looks! haha

Inthefrow
Duh, you saw this one coming, didn't you? Victoria has been a favourite of mine for a long time now and I'm always so happy when I get a notification saying that she just uploaded a new video - makes my day every time! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Madison Miller
I discovered Madison's channel while I was looking for a video on camera lenses and which one to get for filming YouTube videos and ever since that video I absolutely enjoy watching every other one she uploads! She's a super cool and fun person to watch and she's gorgeous too!

Shaaanxo
Out of all these channels, I've been watching Shannon's the longest. She's such an amazing YouTuber and I just love her videos! Although most of her makeup looks or tutorials are a bit too colourful and "out there" for me, I love to watch her do her makeup and just talk through it.

I've also been loving all the Carpool Karaoke videos from The Late Late Show with James Corden - damn, that guy is talented!!

Which channels do you enjoy watching? x

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

There are so many positive reviews and blog posts about Dermalogica as a brand out there that I just had to try something from them as well!
Last month, I got the Dermalogica Dail Microfoliant* after I had seen Madison Miller talking about it in one of her videos.

The way to apply this product was something new to me and I had to get used to it but I eventually started enjoying it. I use this every evening after I have taken off all my makeup and start by wetting my face and hands with lukewarm water. I then pour about half a teaspoon of this very fine powder into my wet hands and rub them together until the powder and the water make a sort of a paste.

This paste I apply all over my face and rub it in until I feel like I've given my skin a good cleanse. Then I just rinse it off with lukewarm water and gently pat dry my face with a towel.

My face always looks a bit dull afterwards but I don't really mind as I just use this in the evening and apply a moisturiser afterwards. But since I've started using this daily, I have seen such a difference in the amount, size and frequency in any blemishes or pimples on my face. It not only makes the skin feel soft right after using it but it's also made my skin feel soft throughout the next day.

I'm really impressed with this Daily Microfoliant and I will for sure continue to use this! I might as well repurchase it when this one is empty, but it's quite expensive... Let's just hope this will last for a while!

I also really want to try the Hydrablur Primer as I've heard so many good things about that one as well! So many products to try, so little money... haha

Have you tried something from Dermalogica before? x

3 Toners Worth The Try

Toners are definitely my favourite skincare products and today I want to talk about three of them, which I use on a regular basis!

In most cases, I use one of my toners in the morning and one of them in the evening, depending on how my skin looks and feels that day.

But let's start with the best-known one...

Pixi Glow Tonic
I purchased this one on Cult Beauty a few months ago and it's such an amazing toner! I'm really glad I invested a little more in this product and it's still going strong as well! Until now, I've only used half the bottle, even though I use this almost daily in the morning and in the evening. It also helps my skin clear up whenever I have a breakout or any blemishes - it has really worked some wonders on my skin so far!

Dr Rimpler Sensitive Tonic*
This one I like to bring with me when I'm away and need a toner in a smaller bottle that's still good for my skin type. It's made for sensitive skin, as you can tell by the name, and it has a very light yet effective formula that helps your skin calm down and soothes it. Highly recommend this to everyone with sensitive skin!

Isabelle Lancray Basis Refreshing Tonic*
This does not only have the most amazing way to apply the toner to your face, it also has the simplest yet prettiest packaging out of all three of my toners! I do love this brand a lot and I'm so glad I got the chance to try their toner! You can spray this directly onto your face and the second it hits your skin, you will feel a very soft and refreshing tickle. It's just the weirdest thing to describe but it feels SO good!

So these are the three toners that I've been loving recently and that I would recommend to everyone currently looking for a new toner!

Do you have any toner favourites that you think are worth trying? Let me know in the comments down below! x
