New Skincare I’ve Been Trialling Lately

It's been a while since I sat down and properly wrote a blog post. Everything has been a little rough the past few days but I'm super glad that I got this week off to relax a bit!

I really hope that I can concentrate on my blog and social media a lot more this week as well - I feel so bad for neglecting my blog recently, I could actually cry. Let's hope for the best, though!

Let's start with today's post now, shall we?
You guys may or may not already know that skincare is a topic that I absolutely love to write about. So today I came back with another skincare post, this time showing you which products I've been testing out lately!

Hej Organic Nourishing Face Tonic*
There will be a full post about Hej Organic very soon here on the blog as well but I really wanted to mention the Face Tonic before that.
First of all, the 150ml bottle is super handy and fits in my cosmetic bag very well, so I can take it anywhere I need to!
The ingredients include Pear and Argan Oil and Grapefruit Extract, which is a combination that makes your skin look glowy, healthy and extremely smooth! I love to use this morning and evening with a cotton pad to make sure I cover every part of my face with it.
The smell is also just incredible!

Mario Badescu Herbal Hydrating Serum*
Definitely my favourite out of these four! Even the colour of the product itself just excites me, haha! It's very lightweight and makes the skin feel amazingly soft - especially when applied on top of a moisturiser!
At the moment, I just use this and my Dior Hydra Life Sorbet Creme day and night and my skin seems to be super glad about it, ha! No pimples, no blemishes, no dry spots! And it looks extremely glowy and radiant, which I just love!

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater*
The product I was looking forward to the most was the MB Facial Spray. It didn't disappoint me, though, it didn't really convince me either. I'm not sure whether it is the formula or just the fact that the spray head is awful.
I do spritz my makeup sponge before blending my foundation and concealer and the results are great, but whenever I want to add a little bit of extra glow to my makeup, the spray head just destroys everything! The mist that comes from it is way too heavy and spritzes everywhere but my face! That's the only downpart of this product; overall it's an okay product.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye
And last but by no means least, my favourite eye cream at the moment! I'm so in love with this product, it's unreal! Luckily, we got a little pot to try a few weeks ago and ever since then I've been using the tiniest amounts of it underneath my eyes because I just don't want to run out of it!
The Estée Lauder website also states that this creme is ideal for dark circles and that's exactly what I noticed as well. My super dark circles have started to slightly vanish and I'm so happy about it because nothing else seemed to work before! An absolute must-have product, if you ask me!

These four products have been my skins' favourites the past few weeks and I'm super glad I got the chance to try them!

Have you been testing out new skincare products lately? x

Pixi Pretties Review

Pixi. I have talked about this incredible brand many times here on my blog already and I don't think about changing that any time soon. They super kindly sent me the new Pixi Pretties collection and I was so excited when I opened the package!

On social media, these three palettes have been photographed a million times by now so it was particularly hard for me to find the perfect composition to take these pictures! I eventually just went back to the good old flatlay without much going on just to make sure you guys can see how pretty these are!

Without any further ado, let's just jump right into it, shall we?

Dimensional Eye Creator - Weylie Hoang
The lovely face behind this kit is Weylie Hoang. I haven't heard of her before but now that I know her, I'm super glad! Her YouTube channel, her videos and her Instagram are right up my street and I just love her!
The palette she created with Pixi is just as amazing! It has six neutral shades, two shimmery ones and four matte ones. You can literally create the perfect everyday eye makeup look just with this palette! I've been using it almost non stop for the past two weeks and I just don't seem to get bored of it - which is a good thing, of course! However, the 2-in-1 Black Kohl Pencil & Liquid Eyeliner is not so great, for me at least. I'm not the eyeliner kind of girl though this one isn't the only one I own so I do know how a liquid eyeliner should feel on the skin. This one leaked into all the fine lines on my hand so I tried it on my eyes and it did the exact same - it just didn't look good... The kohl pencil, however, is amazing - it's super soft and easy to apply!
Just like the eyeshadows, which I have to mention here once again - they're so easy to blend and extremely pigmented, just like the other palettes which I will talk about in a minute. Really didn't expect such high pigmentation, to be honest!

Palette Chloette & Lip Icing - Chloe Morello
Her palette is just stunning. I love the concept of blushes, combined with eyeshadows and three powders to fill in your brows and line or contour your eyes with! Again, I absolutely love all the shades included in this palette, especially the three blush shades! At the moment, I love using blush and these are just perfect!
The Lip Icing is infused with rose hip and marula oil to nourish your lips and that's exactly what it feels like! It's not sticky on the lips, it just feels super hydrating and looks stunning due to the shimmery particles in the formula! I also absolutely love the smell of this - it's the typical Pixi lip product smell and it's just the best one ever!

Dulce's Lip Candy & Café con Dulce - Dulce Candy
The lip palette had me a bit on the hold at first because normally I don't opt for a lip colour from such a palette. However, this palette did change my mind about lip palettes! The shades are SO buttery and soft, smell divine and look gorgeous on the lips! You can apply them with your finger or with a brush to receive different types of intensity. For n my swatches, I applied them with my finger and only had to go in the pan once! Still super impressed!
The Café con Dulce palette is not only an eyeshadow palette but also a face and highlighter palette. I would definitely use all the shades all over my face, haha. They're just gorgeous and super buttery as well! To be honest, I haven't swatched such creamy and soft eyeshadows in a very long time, which surprised me even more, as I really didn't expect this from Pixi!
For my swatches, I, again, used my finger without any fixing spray whatsoever and can you see how pigmented they still are?!
The lighter shades look beautiful as an inner corner highlight and the other ones look just as incredible, of course!

Guys, I honestly didn't think I would love these collabs so freaking much! I'm super impressed with the quality of the products and how they perform when used every day!
Very well done, Pixi! And thanks so much once again for this generous PR package!!

What do you think about the Pixi Pretties collaborations? x

Good Morning - Products I Like To Start The Day With

I'm not a morning person, at all. I hate getting up early in the morning and I hate leaving my warm and comfy bed. But these few products really do make the early hours of my day go by a lot quicker and also a lot easier.

Most days my alarm goes off at 7 but I never get up right away... You see, my bed just won't let me, haha! But once I'm up bright and early, I start my little morning routine. I will start by feeding Malissa and preparing breakfast for myself. After doing so, I always use a combination of the Pixi Rose Flash Balm and the Clinique Moisture Surge - every morning I just need that hydration kick before putting anything else on my face.

Then I will eat my breakfast and drink my tea - at the moment I absolutely love the Cupper Be Happy Tea as I feel it's the perfect drink to have in the morning!
Right after I had my first meal of the day, I start with my daily makeup routine. First things first: preparing the skin. As I already applied my moisturiser I usually apply a thin layer of the Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster to add that extra glow to my skin before starting to apply my foundation. And of course, I also prepare my lips for the amount of lipstick that's to come throughout the day by using the Dior Lip Sugar Scrub.

These four products and my daily cup of tea in the morning really save my day and they make everything so much more comfortable!

Do you have a product you don't want to miss out on before starting your day? x

My Makeup Collection: Primers, Foundations & Concealers

I recently had a little declutter of my makeup collection and realised how many un-blogged products I had - so I decided to show you guys all of my makeup bits and bobs in a weekly product roundup now!

As this is the first post of my new series, I thought I'd start with all the base products, including primers, foundations and concealers. Also, I won't write a detailed paragraph on each of these products, I'll just mention my favourite and the newest addition. In case you would like to know anything about the one or other product, just let me know!

I do love a good primer yet I haven't bought any new ones recently, but my favourite is still the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer - by far the best primer I've tried so far!

As you can tell I do have quite a few foundations and I actually use all of them regularly. At least I'm trying to rotate in between all the products that I have. My favourite out of all these great foundations is the Diorskin Forever Foundation. It just is, hands down, the best foundation for me at the moment and I absolutely love it! The newest one, however, is the L'Oreal Bonjour Nudista Awakening Skin Tint. I will keep you guys updated on that one!

This part of my collection is also quite "small" compared to the foundation part but I do have my favourite one in here, which is the Chanel Le Correcteur. Been using it every single day since I got it and I can already see that it won't last long anymore... The newest one in here actually is the Maybelline Age-Rewind Concealer, which I last used ages ago but there's a new neutral shade now so I'm super excited to give that one a try!

Down below, I have tried to link all the products from my photos in case you'd like to know any specific details!

What's your favourite primer/foundation/concealer? x

Clarins Skincare - Worth The Money?

Clarins has long been a brand that I only heard amazing things about but never actually tried it until changing my job!

A few months ago I got my first chance to try their face creams properly at home and what can I say? I'm impressed!

The day and night creams I'm using at the moment are the Multi-Active Jour SPF 20 and the matching Multi-Active Nuit. These are actually meant for young women who want to slow down or even postpone the process of ageing and getting wrinkles and fine lines. However, with 20 years of age I thought I could slowly start using the first anti-ageing products in my skincare routine.

First I thought these wouldn't make a difference in my complexion but I was so wrong! My skin looks healthier, more plumped and overall just "younger". So these are definitely worth the money when you want to start getting hold of your first anti-ageing products!

Whenever my skin feels particularly dry, I like to use the Hydra Essential Serum underneath my moisturiser. It really hydrates the skin and feels super comfortable as well! Definitely a recommendation for everyone wanting to get to know Clarins skincare!

And last but by no means least, I want to mention to you the Body-Smoothing Moisture Milk with Aloe Vera. It's extremely moisturising and perfect for using after showering as it dries very quickly so you can put your clothes back on straight after. The pump on top also makes the application a lot easier! Really love that!

Have you tried any of the Clarins skincare before? x

April Favourites

I'm a bit shocked by the fact that it's already the end of another month. It feels like my birthday was just a few days ago when in reality it's already been more than four months!

Anyway! Being at the end of the month also means that it's time for yet another post about my monthly favourites! I love watching favourites videos on YouTube and reading blog posts about those, so I enjoy writing them myself even more!

Starting with the non-makeup/beauty favourite of mine: this absolutely gorgeous little backpack from Primark! It only cost me 14€ and it just fits everything I need perfectly fine!

Now on to the makeup and skincare bits, shall we?
In my most recent New In: Beauty post I mentioned the Nivea Body Mousse White Tea x Raspberry to you guys for the very first time but this has quickly become my favourite body product of this month? It smells beautiful and the mousse moisturises the body incredibly well!

The next favourite is also a skincare product and it's the Pixi Rose Flash Balm. I always use this in the morning after I've washed my face, just to prepare my skin with the first layer of moisturiser before going in with another one. Also, the smell is divine!!

After moisturising I use my next favourite, which is the Balea Teint Perfection Primer. It instantly blurrs any pores and imperfections on my face and makes my makeup stay put throughout the day - love it!

Because the weather gets warmer and warmer by day I like to use a more lightweight foundation and at the moment I love using the The Ordinary Serum Foundation. It is indeed super lightweight yet it has a very decent coverage and also blends very well into my skin!

Before talking about my favourite fragrance of April I want to mention this gorgeous L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in the shade 642 to you! I just freaking love this one - the shade is beautiful, it smells delicious and the finish is super shiny and glossy, which I personally really like!

Now on to my go-to fragrance of April - the Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme. It's a very woody-fruity scent with blackberries and pink pepper but I could imagine that it's not everyone's cup of tea. You should definitely give it a sniff though.

And that's it for my April favourites!

What's one of your favourites from April? x

New In: Beauty

Since the last New In: Beauty post back in February, I got quite a few new makeup and skincare bits to add to my collection. Thanks to some incredible PR packages I've received and thanks to my colleagues at work, I now have the chance to try these new bits and then tell you guys some more about them!

Nivea Body Mousse Raspberry x White Tea*
I very kindly received this body mousse a few weeks ago from Rossmann and ever since then, I've been using it every single day. After showering, before bed or just when I feel like my skin needs some extra TLC - this body foam or mousse just smells heavenly and absorbs incredibly quickly once applied to the skin. You just need to be careful not to take too much!

Biotherm Biosource 24h Hydrating Lotion & Aquasource Aura Concentrate
Yes, I got this lotion as a new addition to my collection but I already passed it on to my cousin, haha. Maybe she'll write a few paragraphs about it!
But the Aura Concentrate, I'm really excited to try! The area around my nose and the wings of my nose are so dry at the moment that I really hope this product will help!

Sisley Phyto-Eye Twist & Eau Efficace Gentle Makeup Remover
The Eye Twist really is a great one-sweep eyeshadow and I also love the colour, but somehow I'm not 100% satisfied. Maybe I'll have to try it a few more times to see what it really is like! As for the Makeup Remover, I haven't even opened that one yet! This mini bottle is just perfect for travelling and maybe I'll take this with me whenever I go visit my parents or so.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolour*
You guys know I love a good matte lip, especially when it's a nude shade! The Revlon Ultra HD lip products are definitely my favourite for that kind of look! This shade, in particular, is just super pretty and the product itself smells heavenly!

L'Oreal Color Riche Shine Lipstick Nr. 642
Lovely Victoria from Inthefrow always has the best recommendations but this time I actually went out and bought myself a lipstick she had recommended and it was this exact one. And I can tell you, I'm not disappointed in the slightest! It has an incredible smell, the packaging is gorgeous and the texture and finish are beautiful!

RevitaLash Advanced Lash Serum
One of my colleagues very kindly gave me this sample of the Lash Serum and I'm currently using it every single night before going to bed - I'm not really seeing anything different yet but I'll make sure to update you guys once it starts working on my lashes!

Artdeco Super Long Lash Mascara & Bronzing Powder
You guys know how much I love my Artdeco Magnum Bronzing Powder so I was more than excited when we learned everything about their new bronzers - and also got one for free! Super excited to try out this new one!
Claudia Schiffer also created her second collection with Artdeco, from which we kindly got the mascara to try and I really hope it's a good one!

Dior Lip Sugar Scrub
Just like with the Body Mousse above, I've been using the Sugar Scrub for a couple of weeks already and I'm head over heels in love. I will definitely make sure to include this in my monthly favourites because I just have to tell you guys a bit more about this!

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector
Never used a Clarins lip product before but one of my colleagues recommended me the Instant Light ones and gave me this one to try so let's hope she was right because the shade already looks stunning, doesn't it?!

Lottie London Blush Crush
Because I've somehow become a blusher kinda girl I've recently purchased a new blush from Rossmann and they now also sell Lottie London, which I was quite surprised about because I really didn't expect that but their blushes are beautiful! The shade I got is very subtle and looks very pretty on the cheeks! Also a favourite of mine this month!

Catrice Cosmetics Light In A Box Highlighter Palette*
I've never used a highlighter palette before but this looks one super pretty and the shades actually seem to be okay for my skintone! Most of the time, highlighters are just too dark or too shimmery for me so I'm even more excited to try this one!

So much new and amazing things to try! Make sure to let me know which products you would like me to review here on the blog or over on Instagram!

Have you purchased anything new recently? x

Spring Makeup Menu

Now we can happily say: Spring has officially begun! I'm so glad about the change of weather - all the greyness, snow and cold temperatures really started to annoy me, to be honest!

Spring definitely is my most favourite time of the year, apart from autumn and Christmas of course. But with the seasons changing, my makeup routine changes as well. Or at least I try to adapt my products to the temperatures and the weather.
I'm not only doing that because I want to wear less makeup once it's warmer outside but because I want to use some more products from my collection and not always get back to using the same ones over and over.

For my base, I like to use something lightweight, like the The Ordinary Serum Foundation in combination with the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. These two products are my go-tos at the moment and I like to blend them in with a damp makeup sponge to achieve that natural and flawless finish.

Bronzer, blusher and highlighter are some old favourites of mine: the Mary-Lou Manizer from theBalm, the Benefit Hoola Bronzer and my favourite Dior Blush. All three of them are beautiful products and just go very well together - so a spring makeup look, these are just perfect!

For my lashes and eyebrows, I currently like to use the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara and the L.O.V Cosmetics Browttitude Brow Gel Serum - because I have a fringe now, I don't have to fill in my brows so this gel serum just nourishes my brows and sets them in place.

And last but by no means least I apply the L'Oreal Color Riche Shine Lipstick in the shade 642- thanks to Inthefrow for this recommendation! The shade is perfect for using it every day and the lipstick just has a lovely finish!

As you can tell, I don't use many products in spring and I love not using loads of products on my face when it's getting warmer.

What's your favourite season? x

Why I’m Afraid Of Starting A YouTube Channel

Ever since the moment I was introduced to YouTube, it has been a little dream of mine to start my very own channel.

There are some amazing YouTubers out there who inspire me every single day but that just doesn't seem to be enough to convince my mind to just start recording videos!

I wanted to do a whole post on this topic because I just feel the need to talk about this with you guys at least once, if that makes any sense.

On YouTube there are SO many people who create new content every day and seeing that, I sometimes think I wouldn't be able to keep up with that at all.
I've been planning all the content ideas, videos, etc. for years already, yet I still didn't get the chance to bring any of that to life.

The only thing keeping me from filming my first video: getting my bum in front of the camera and start talking without feeling weird. Feeling weird in terms of "what will my friends and family think abou this?"

But my friends, family and even my colleagues encourage me to just go for it! Now it's my turn to get encouraged and just start filming...

I'd love to know what you guys think about this idea. Would you watch the videos? Which kind of videos would you like to see? Let me know in the comments! x

3 To Try From Dior - Makeup

Two weeks ago, I already talked to you about three bits to try from the Dior skincare range and I absolutely loved writing it! That's why I decided to do another one of these, this time talking about three amazing makeup products.

Without further ado, let's just jump straight into the post, shall we?

The Diorskin Forever Foundation is the first product I want to talk about. It's an incredible foundation and by far the most used and most loved one in my collection! I always put one to two pumps on the back of my hand and apply the makeup with a brush before really blending it in with a makeup sponge - I've found that to be the best way to apply this foundation! Once applied to the face, it looks super natural and not cakey at all yet it covers blemishes and anything else very well. Usually, I opt for this foundation when I know I have a long and exhausting day at work - it stays in place all day long without smudging or anything.

At the moment, I'm also just loving the Diorshow Black Out Mascara - it's just as stunning as the Forever Foundation! I'm head over heels in love with this and you guys know that mascara is quite important to me. This one has a huge applicator brush and the product itself is quite wet and creamy but surprisingly, this combination makes the results even better! The way I apply mascara has changed quite a bit over the past few years and currently, I always use a defining mascara to lengthen my lashes before going in with a volumising one, in my case, it's the Black Out Mascara. It just is the best way for me to apply the products to my lashes without making them look like spider legs!

The last product I just have to mention is the Lip Sugar Scrub, which I had been dying to try for ages! It's a sweet exfoliating balm with a bit of a tint to it and it smells (and tastes) amazing! This one right here is my current go-to lip balm - I don't use it every single time I'm in need of a lip balm because of the exfoliating sugar but most of the time I grab this one because it makes my lips feel so incredibly smooth, it's unreal. I'm not exaggerating here guys, I'm just blown away, haha! It also has a plumping effect on the lips, which I'm quite glad about as well.

Also, let me just appreciate the sleek and elegant packaging on every Dior product. Doesn't that always look so exquisite? Absolutely love that!

Do you have a favourite from the Dior makeup range? x

La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum

Please hit me for mentioning this/talking about this again but this fragrance from Guerlain is just my absolute favourite and has been for the past few months. La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum is, in my opinion, the best scent from the while La Petite Robe Noire range. The others smell great as well of course but this just has that special scent the others don't have and that's what makes it so appealing to me!

This may sound strange to some of you because I just said which scent I like the most from the range, but I highly recommend you guys to go give all of the La Petite fragrances a little sniff - maybe you'll like them more or you'll like none of them, but definitely go smell them whenever you get the chance to!

Guerlain has that extraordinaire composition of scents and each and every perfume of theirs has the traditional Guerlinade in it, which consists of
- Bergamot
- Rose
- Jasmine
- Orris
- Tonka Bean
- Vanilla
- Orange Blossom and
- Sandalwood.

La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum does too but it also has some other, very sweet and warm ingredients mixed in with that.

Top notes:
Black Cherry
Red Berries

Middle notes:
Bulgarian and Turkish Rose
Smoked Black Tea

Base notes:
Tonka Bean

I think the combination of the Smoked Black Tea and the Liquorice makes this smell so special and that's why I love it so much!

What kind of scents do you like most? Fresh, sweet, oriental? Let me know down below! x

The Hand Balm Of Your Dreams – Ritual Of Sakura

Hand balms and creams can be a tricky thing to buy, especially when you constantly have dry hands or chapped nails, like myself. At the moment, my hands and nails actually look horrible due to the cold weather, the daily gift wrapping and all the water while cleaning the shelves at work. For my nails, like I mentioned in one of my recent favourites posts, I currently use the Nail Repair Green Micro Cell, which has helped my nails a lot!

But I've found this particular hand balm from the Ritual of Sakura range by Rituals to work a little magic on my hands and nails.
The Ritual of Sakura range has that very lovely cherry blossom scent, which is my absolute favourite! I was very kindly gifted this hand balm at work and have been in love ever since I got it.

The texture is quite thick but still feels very light on the skin and also absorbs super quickly - the most important fact in a hand cream/balm for me! I basically have this with me wherever I go and it has seriously saved my hands!
They still don't look incredible but a lot better than a few months ago; still horrible but not as bad though. Now you can imagine what my hands must've looked and felt like back in December!

So if you're currently on the hunt for a new hand cream, definitely give this one a try! Like the name says, it's super soothing and smells beautiful! There's also a hand balm in the Ritual of Ayurveda range if you prefer that scent more.

What's your favourite range from Rituals? x

3 To Try From Dior - Skincare

It seems I've been talking about Dior products non-stop lately, but that's because I freaking love them so much!

There are three/four skincare products in particular that I currently use and that quickly became my favourites in their category! I know there actually are four products but I thought I'd put the two serums into one category, so theoretically there are only three products.

I know I've used this sentence way too many times the past few months, too. "Since I've started working in a beauty shop..." - guys, since then my view of makeup, skincare and fragrances has completely changed! And also, I very very kindly get the one or other product to try and test and home as well. This makes it so much more interesting for me because I can review so many more products for you!
I constantly have the urge to explain myself for all the products and highend items, so here's the explanation, haha.

Hydra Life Lotion to Foam - Fresh Cleanser
The first step of everyone's nightly face routine: removing the makeup and cleansing the face. For ages, shame on me, I only used face wipes to clean my face. Many cleansing foams also dried out my skin and made it feel super tight and uncomfortable, only very few foams have passed the test for me so far and this definitely is one of them!
It also has a super handy pump on top and the light green colour is just super pleasant to look at, don't you think?

Hydra Life Fresh Hydration - Sorbet Créme
Everyone's skin has felt tight, dry and overall just uncomfortable at least once or twice this past winter, if not even more times! Mine surely felt that way but this Sorbet has definitely saved it from going totally nuts! Even the smell promises a fresh, calming feeling and it even excites me a bit whenever I apply this, knowing my skin just needs that kick of hydration. It's super refreshing to apply in the evening as well, just to calm down and rewind for a second!

Capture Youth Glow Booster & Redness Soother
I already did a post on these two (and the three other ones there are) but I thought I'd mention them once more in this post. For me, the Glow Booster and the Redness Soother are the most convenient and useful ones. Because I still have that redness on my nose, I like to use the Soother after the cleanser and before the moisturiser just on my nose. I've seen a huge difference in the texture of the skin on my nose and I'm still blown away! It not only calms the skin and partly reduces the redness, it also smoothes the skin and makes it softer. I don't know if that's a wanted effect of this serum but it surely doesn't bother me!
The Booster is only for mornings where I feel like my skin needs that extra portion of energy - which happens quite frequently, to be fair! Here, I mix two to three drops in with my moisturiser and apply it to my face before putting on my primer or makeup. You guys, this has made such a difference in the way my makeup looks throughout the day! Because my skin looks so much more glowy and radiant, my makeup instantly looks better as well! Such an amazing product!

Overall, Dior has quickly become my favourite brand when it comes to skincare products! They have products for everyone and every skin type and I know they are indeed highend and quite pricey but it really is all worth it!

Do you have a favourite skincare brand? x

Brand Focus: YSL Beauty

As well as increasingly talking about Guerlain, Chanel or Dior here on the blog, YSL Beauty is also one of the brands that I have a strong love for. Not only is it my brand to keep an eye on at work, it also is one of my favourite makeup and perfume brands! I mean, Black Opium is just the fragrance for me and the new All In One Glow Foundation is simply stunning!

A few weeks ago, I wasn't even aware of the fact that there are a face cleanser and an eye makeup remover in their range as well! The face cleanser, however, is amazing! I already mentioned that in my first monthly favourites in January and I'm currently using it almost non-stop - together with my cleansing foam from Dior.

Their fragrances are my favourite though. The Black Opium range is just my favourite to sell at work when someone asks for a special, heavy and sweet scent; especially Floral Shock has won my heart!

And their makeup, of course, is top-notch as well. My favourite products are definitely their liquid lipsticks and their mascaras - they're super well priced and you just get an amazing quality!

I do love YSL Beauty a lot and I'm looking forward to trying many more products from them in the future!

Have you tried something from YSL Beauty before? x

3 To Try From Chanel

Writing an opening paragraph for a blog post is definitely the most difficult part for me in the whole process of creating and publishing my written piece. Somehow I never know what to write, which is extremely frustrating!
But as for today's post, I thought I'd talk a bit about the brand, which, in this case, is Chanel! There are not many products that I own from them but the three ones I gladly have in my collection are amazing!

I already mentioned all of these briefly in a few recent posts but I wanted to get a few more details out to you guys and tell you how and especially why I like these products so much!

Ombre Première Longwear Cream Eyeshadow - 822 Silver Screen/Satiné
These single eyeshadows are also my favourite at the moment. I have a couple of them at home and I do reach for them all the time because they're so super easy to use! You just have to dip your finger or your brush in once or twice and swipe it all over the lid. It's really that easy! And because they're also very easy to blend, you can create an everyday eye look with just one or two of these single eyeshadows!

Le Volume de Chanel Mascara - 10 Noir
By far one of the best mascaras I currently own! I use it almost daily to separate and lengthen my lashes before going in with another mascara to add the volume. I really don't mind using two different mascaras to get the effect I want and this one is just perfect for separation and adding length!
Throughout the day, it can smudge a little underneath the eyes, especially when applied to the lower lashes, but it's nothing a cotton bud can't fix.

Le Correcteur de Chanel Longwear Concealer - 10 Beige
Yes, I have indeed talked about this incredible concealer numerous times here on the blog already but now I can finally write down all of the benefits and other details!
The texture is creamy and super blendable, which makes it almost melt into your skin to create that second skin effect - and this is just a concealer! Whenever I use this underneath my eyes and on my nose, it doesn't even look like I have anything applied because it blends so very well and the shade also matches my skintone so perfectly!
No creasing, no flaking, no smudging. It stays put all day long, especially with a powder on top.

Products That Didn't Work For Me

Happy Easter lovelies! 🐰🎕💗

In today's post, we're going to have a little look at three products that I really wanted to work for me but they just didn't. Recently, I already wrote a full review on the Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara and why it didn't work for me here, but today I want to talk about two products from Catrice and Yves Saint Laurent.

The Catrice Cosmetics Light Correcting Serum Primer sounded incredibly promising when I first bought it and I'd seen many positive reviews about it on the internet as well. The packaging alone looks super pretty and with the pipette on top, it was very easy to get the right amount onto your fingers or face.
As it is said to be a primer, I almost always applied underneath my foundation, but when I realised that didn't work for me, I mixed it in with my foundation - that made it even worse!
Applied on its own it looked beautiful for the first few seconds. As soon as it dried down it looked horrible on my skin and I'm still not sure why! I'm actually really sad that this is such a fail product for me because I really wanted to like this.

The next product is also one I had extremely high hopes in - the Touche Éclat Face Highlighter Pen from YSL Beauty. I've been hearing so many positive things about this ever since I first heard of it and actually, I expected it to blow me away. But it surely did not do that in the slightest! It is said to highlight the chosen parts of the face and to fight a dull and sleep looking complexion with a medium to buildable coverage. I loved the sound of this working like a "magic wand" on your face and was super excited to finally be able to give this a try myself...
In all honesty, I'm more than disappointed. It does crease a lot underneath my eyes and around my lips whenever I wanted to "perfect" or correct those areas. Also, I noticed this to come off during the day quite quickly, especially when I was at work or out and about doing something.

I will definitely try the Touch Éclat a couple more times, but with the Serum Primer I've already parted ways and sold it on Kleiderkreisel... Maybe I need to use a different makeup underneath the highlighter pen, I'm not sure yet, but I will update you guys on that!

Have you tried any of these products before? If so, how do you like them? x

March Favourites

It's favourites time again, aye! I'm saying this every single month, I know, but how is it already the end of March? Like, we're already at the end of the third month of 2018, can you actually believe it? This month, however, I've been loving a lot of products and it wasn't even hard to bring all the products together in this one post. They're either old favourites of mine that I already mentioned here once before or they're products I just instantly fell in love with!

Starting off with skincare, as usual, I have two favourites from Pixi this month - the Rose Flash Balm and the Rose-Caviar Essence. I got both of them in one of their recent PR packages and I was over the moon with both of them when I tried these for the very first time! Especially the Rose Flash Balm is amazing for a little pamper routine as you can use it as a cream or as a face mask!

For my foundation/makeup I've rediscovered the incredible Your Skin But Better CC Cream from It Cosmetics. I somehow forgot how amazing it is but throughout March I really got back into using it and going for that dewy and healthy finish on my skin!
I also got back into using a face powder to set my concealer and I've been absolutely loving the Nick Assfalg Cosmetics Transparent Face Powder. It just makes the concealer stay in place all day long and also adds that blurring and velvet-looking effect to your skin, which I personally really love!

At work, we recently had a special guest, a makeup artist, and he gave the customers some tips and showed them some tricks on how to apply makeup, etc. Whenever he had some spare time, he also gave advice to me and my colleagues and since then, I actually use blush in my daily makeup routine. It just makes me look so much more awake and fresh, I actually never thought I could pull that off, you know? Using blush had always been a dread to me so I never did. So talking about blush, I've been loving the Manhattan Contouring Kit, because it has everything you need - a highlighter, a contour/bronzing shade and a gorgeous blusher!

Single eyeshadows have also become a thing in my daily makeup routine. They're just so easy to use and my favourites at the moment are the Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadows from Chanel. Easy to blend, easy to apply and super comfortable on the lids. Basically everything I'm asking for in an eyeshadow!

Lip product-wise I have been loving the Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color Liquid Lipstick and the Dior Lip Glow Balms. Both of them have become an "I'm wearing this to work"-staple and I absolutely love them!

And last but by no means least, my favourite fragrance: the La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum from Guerlain. Guys, I can't even tell you how much I actually love this scent! It's super sweet and floral and lasts incredibly long as well. I'd literally take a bath in this if it was possible, that's how much I love it, haha! There will be a full post about this fragrance on the blog very soon, so stay tuned for that!

That's it for my March favourites! Got quite a few products that I think will make another appearance in next month's favourites post as well... But we'll see!

What have you been loving this month? x

Dior Capture Youth Serums

As well as fragrances, skincare has quickly become my favourite thing to write and talk about since being surrounded by it every single day for the past four months. Dior has always been a brand that fascinated me, especially their skincare and makeup products!

Dior recently launched a new skincare range - the Capture Youth Age-Delaying series. Cara Delevigne is the face of this campaign, which made it even more appealing to me when I first saw the serums and the face cream.
There are five different serums which you can either use on their own or mixed in with the cream to achieve the best results. The serums basically cover every skin concern you can probably have at the age of around 20 to 30, which is the best age to start with your first anti ageing creams and serums.

The Redness Soother
As the name says this serum helps to reduce visible redness and calm the skin on your face with a blend of cotton peptides and iris extract.

The Glow Booster
Everyone wants their skin to look glowy and healthy - this serum is your go-to product when you travel a lot and want an overall brighter complexion as it helps your skin resist aggressions like stress or jet lag.

The Lift Sculptor
This serum contains a blend of green, white and rooibos tea to fight against the lack of elasticity and make it look younger and more lifted.

The Matte Maximizer
To help you reduce shine, absorb excess oils, refine the texture of your skin and visibly minimize the appearance of pores, this serum contains lactic acid from sugar cane in combination with pink clay and zinc gluconate as well as iris extract.

The Plump Filler
This fifth and last serum from the range helps to restore the skin's plumpness and rehydrate the skin on the surface with the help of natural-origin fermented wheat, iris extract and a fresh and nourishing texture.

If you guys want to know about the face cream as well, just let me know in the comments! I'm head over heels in love with this range from Dior, and with everything else from them basically, so I'd be super happy to tell you more about a few products!

Coco Mademoiselle

Fragrances have quickly become one of my favourite things to blog about, and so today I have another little fragrance review for you guys. Usually, Chanel perfumes and scents are not my favourite and I don't really like any of them but the Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum is beautiful! It had already been launched in 2001 and I've only discovered it a few weeks ago, can you believe it?!

The scent can be described as citric, floral and sweet, which is my favourite combination!

Top notes:
Mandarin Orange
Orange Blossom

Middle notes:
Turkish Rose

Base notes:
Tonka Bean
White Musk

Especially all the orange notes spike my interest and I absolutely love the scent of it! Normally, I don't really recommend to give the Chanel fragrances a sniff but with this one it's different. You should definitely give this one a try whenever you can.

The last things I want to mention are both the longevity and the strength of this scent. It lasts incredibly long and you can still smell it even hours after applying it, which is a huge plus from me!

Have you smelled this one before? If so, how do you like it? x

Makeup Bag Re-Shuffle

Guys, going back to having a normal blogging schedule it's so much harder than I thought. I feel so bad for not posting regularly in the past few weeks, I really do, but I still hope that somehow I'm now able to get things working the way I want them to!

There has been quite a change in my everyday makeup bag and I really wanted to show you guys what has been inside and what I have been using for the past few weeks.

My go-to foundation is the Diorskin Forever - it's such an amazing makeup and it makes your skin look flawless! I like to apply this with a brush and really blend it out with a makeup sponge afterwards! The concealer I love using is still the Chanel Le Correcteur and I don't think that will change in the future, ha! It's a great concealer as it literally has the same tone as my skin and it makes all the blemishes, the redness and anything else invisible!

Bronzer and highlighter - wise I've fallen back in love with the Makeup Revolution Glow Palette. It's just so beautiful and I've been using this almost every single day for the past like two months or so! And, you probably won't believe it, but I've actually started using blush?! There's one from Dior that I absolutely love but at the moment, I prefer using this new one from Lottie London; it's not too vibrant but it gives you that natural and healthy glow!

For the brows, I have found a new Holy Grail product, which is the Yves Saint Laurent Couture Brow. It not only fills in the brows perfectly, it also holds them in place almost all day long. And that's basically everything I want a brow gel to do!

As for the eye makeup, I have come to love the Clarins Ombre Iridescente Single Eyeshadows. They're super easy to apply and to blend and they look great as an everyday makeup look as well! In combination with these, I like to use my NARS Eyeshadow Duo - they're again the perfect everyday shades and you know I love my light pink and nude shades, ha! The mascara I've been using is the Diorshow Blackout Mascara. This actually does everything - volume, length, separation and it doesn't smudge throughout the day either.

And last but by no means least, I actually have a favourite lip product at the moment, which is the Maybelline Super Stay 24 Colour Lipstick. The shade is absolutely stunning and it feels amazing on the lips as well! Not to mention that it really stays on the lips for such a long time, even after drinking and eating something!

That's it for my little makeup bag re-shuffle already! Lots of new and amazing products and I just love all of them so much, haha!

Which products have made their way into your makeup bag recently? x

Things That Keep Me Motivated

The other day, I had a little photoshoot with my little one - she didn't like it too much but in the end, we got one (!) fairly decent photo, ha!
And because I love her so much and couldn't think of any other photo idea for this post, I decided to use our portrait for today's post!

It's more of a lifestyle post today, about all the things that keep me motivated in general. First I thought about focusing on the things that keep me motivated to continue blogging, etc. but then I realised that I haven't done a life-related post in a while, which led me to write this one instead.

Being motivated and also happy at the same time has been a brand new feeling for me. Ever since leaving the bank and starting my traineeship at the perfumery, I just overall feel better and more relaxed as well. And because I love my job so much now, I'm motivated and happy almost every single day!
Sometimes, however, there are days where I just don't feel that positive vibe so I have to sit back and remind myself of everything good in my life to get back on track. This may sound like those "down days" are like the end of the world, which they aren't of course, but I think it's important to always keep the good things in your life on your mind; it's so much easier to, like I said, get back on track that way, in my opinion.

Things that keep me motivated...

They've been my biggest supporters in every past decision I've made and I seriously couldn't ask for anything better. They're the most important part of my life and living so far away from them does make me sad at times but seeing them after weeks and weeks apart really is the best thing!

I know, I know - "Is she seriously talking about her cat in this post?" Yes, she is, haha. This little creature just makes my life so much better and happier, I actually can't put it into words. Once I come back from work in the evening, she never leaves my side and I'm so incredibly thankful that I got the chance to bring her into my life.

Sounds weird but having a job that you love actually makes life so much better and easier. I always thought that going to work every day is something you can't avoid if you want to have a good life. But when it's so much fun and your colleagues are just amazing, going to work doesn't feel like going to work, you know what I mean? It's like leaving the house to see your friends and family and surround yourself with the things you love, which, in my case, are makeup, skincare and fragrances...

These are only three things but they've become such huge parts of my life that I can't imagine my life without even one of them anymore. And at the moment, life is pretty awesome.

Is there anything special that keeps you motivated? x

Brand Focus: Cocoa Locks

Definitely not my most fascinating photo for a blog post but in today's post, I wanted to focus more on this amazing product and tell you guys all about it!

About a month ago, the lovely team from Cocoa Locks asked me to become a brand ambassador for them and, of course, I said yes. I had a good look through their website and their products before doing so because I wanted to make sure that the product I'll be testing for you guys is actually something that interests me - as always! So I had a look, saw that it was all about hot chocolate and hair growth and I was up for it!

The shipping process is just incredibly fast as well. It took about three to four days I believe for the product to be shipped from the UK to Germany, which is amazing! When it arrived at my door, I began the program the next day and it did last about a month.

The hot chocolate is vegetarian, gluten-free and only has about 32 kcal per mug of which you only need to drink one per day. Most of the time, I drank mine for breakfast, instead of my usual cup of tea, I just mixed the hot water with two teaspoons of the hot chocolate.

To make your hair stronger, thicker, longer and whatnot, the hot chocolate has ridiculously many great ingredients to ensure the best results at the end of the program! I have made a list of all the ingredients down below so you can see what's inside:

Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12
Vitamin C
Vitamin E

As you can tell, there's a lot of good stuff in there, it still tastes amazing and there are actual results after only two weeks of drinking a mug every day! After about two weeks, my colleagues and my family asked if my hair had grown and that it looked so strong and healthy - they didn't know I had been drinking this hot chocolate for the past couple weeks! It really surprised me because I myself didn't see a lot, barely anything really, but when they told me that my hair looked so good, I did notice that it became a lot thicker and stronger.

I will definitely try more hot chocolate programs and maybe even the Hairshake they also offer! This is the first ever product of this kind that has really satisfied and surprised me - I'm just in love! And because the results are actually visible, four of my colleagues ordered a pack for themselves the other day as well! Kind of proud to be a successful ambassador already! haha

Have you heard of this brand before? x
